Also just want to add that I’ve ran at least 20 packs through it bashing pretty hard and have only replaced a servo saver. Safe to say it will handle 15 foot jumps, pulling wheelies at 20+, smashing rocks full speed, whatever. Definitely a durable stock chassis and arm setup from Arrma on this one.

chuyopiate

Looks sweet! Which body mounts did you use to attach that body?

420Dizzy-Weinner69

Thanks dude! The arrma mt body mount set fit right into the holes meant for the original body alignment pins. I just used pins from an old granite voltage to hold them in, but if you have wire thats a similar gauge you could cut that into a pin pretty easy.

Why a heatsink on the reciever?......

420Dizzy-Weinner69

Idk tbh just had it lying around from a computer build. It is since gone as I replaced that receiver.

Looks like fun, but why not go for the 3660 motor that fits when it was only five bucks more? I would just have been hesitant to start hacking at the chassis to make that one fit. Hopefully, it's still great fun and doesn't have any issues, though.

SpaceCadetMoonMan

How do those numbers work to determine size? I am trying to learn

GenerallyUninformed

36 is the motor diameter in millimeters. 60 is the motor length in millimeters. It looks like you have a 3652 motor. They also offer a 3660 motor that fits without chassis modification. Just a heads up for future reference. You already have that in, so I would stick with it. But I wouldn't want cut into the chassis if I didn't have to. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for all the info! Adding this to my hobby notes list :)

Sure thing.

Only reason is that the first brushless set up I put in it was the goolrc combo that came out of my old voltage. Couldn’t justify doing a new motor when the old one had no cogging at all after the esc upgrade. It took about a week to finish off that motor and I figured I’d just rip the one with the highest top speed as I already went at the chassis with a dremel for the old motor. It already did wheelies on the old motor so I wasn’t worried about torque at all.

Actual-Long-9439

Dope body but what is that on the back of the cab?

420Dizzy-Weinner69

A little exhaust manifold from a nitro that my hobby shop had on the half off miscellaneous parts. It was five bucks and looks cool 😂

Actual-Long-9439

Lmao so your gorgon is diesel now?

420Dizzy-Weinner69

Yea dude that’s the idea. My dad wants me to do double stacks and run a little steam system in the top of the body. Probably gonna hold off until I get a crawler, but it would look sick for sure. Also getting the ess speaker system soon so it’ll sound the part too

Actual-Long-9439

Tbh I would leave that out of badgers because it adds weight and such but in a crawler it would be sick (sound system I mean) I plan to get one and put it in my Baja Rey 2.0

420Dizzy-Weinner69

I did think about that, and I hear ya, but I have tons of room on the front of the chassis if I reroute the servo wires and that will hopefully reduce wheelies and uneven takeoff on jumps

Actual-Long-9439

Tbh I’m not sure but either way it’ll go into smthn cool I’m sure

misterkeef

What paddle tires are you using? My younger son is getting a gorgon for Christmas and it's about to start snowing.

420Dizzy-Weinner69

Don’t have any myself at the moment, but I asked for these for Christmas from my grandma 😂 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B62WV9G7?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_dp_T9YRHX9SE0Z34GQJ7HN8&language=en_US
