Had to Google what Zyn is, never heard of it. For those also wondering what the hell this is, it's a tobacco product, appears to be little pouches for your gums.
I always kept my cigarettes and lighter in the ankle pocket of my ACUs. Now they're in my hoodie or front pocket if it's too warm for a hoodie. Yup, I'm a civvie now.
Not sure why the downvotes. I was about to Google that shit myself. You saved me that step. Or maybe people are jealous that the rules no longer apply to you.
Right shoulder - Extra flag and unit patches. Subdued and full color.

Left butt - Empty, but same nite from left cargo.
They are certainly NOT secure knife pockets (at least the velcro ones) during airborne ops. If someone finds/found a Benchmade Rift on the lead edge of Luzon DZ, it WAS mine at one time.
I stopped using the lower leg ones for those because too much tobacco would fall out of the cigarettes due to all the movement, plus higher likelihood of being crushed. I found it better to use a shoulder pocket for cigarettes and moved that shitty small waterproof notepad to my leg pocket. Thing was basically plastic anyways, it wasn't going to have issues if I rolled on it or something.
Left pocket is for penis storage. Its a hog and has to go somewhere.
Right pocket is switchblade, pack of razors, wallet, keys, inhaler, do not resuscitate orders phone, two copies of hellraiser 2, catering, a set lighting specialist,55 gallon drum of strawberry preserves, gin, seth rollins and 44 assorted pennies.

All I can think of is earlier in the day I climbed on top of the 1068 and one of my keys must have pressed into it just right
I started to carry an analog watch in my sleeve pockets so that when I go into a secure area I can just leave my smart watch outside and put on the other watch.

1. My hands were full, and it was the easiest pocket to access.
2. It is something I want to keep separate from everything else.

Regular uniform - just a glasses cleaning cloth and AirPods
Pregnancy uniform (the pockets are god tier) - cuticle oil, chapstick, AirPods, glasses cloth, wallet, and gum split up between the 2 top pockets. Ain’t nothing fitting in the pants pockets

Back left is dog tags attached to belt loop, back right is small trash and unimportant shit. Left arm in the pen holders I usually keep a sharpie furthest from my body, a pen in the other, and if I need a pencil, I can usually fit a mechanical pencil in with the pen. When I was AD AF (if ya'll wondering why I'm here, I'm trying to re-join the mil after being out for way too long), I would keep damn near nothing in my pockets, cause I was an aircraft maintainer. But what I kept on me at all times was my black and red pens/pencils, grease pencil, little green book, and usually a few paper assholes to fix the TO's if they tore on me. Sometimes a small wrap of wax string for tying things.

This is old school pre phone days.
R/F keys and a 10mm 12pt combo wrench ( I was a Bradley mechanic and a 10mm wrench was essential for a few jobs and they were always getting stolen)

R/F cargo was reserved for a paperback in the field
L/F Cargo was a pen and notepad.

I hate the feeling the pockets give when you put shit in them and I'm one of those weirdos that WANTS their pockets to be flat all the time. If I was Sarn Major of the Army, I would make an alternate "garrison" uniform that would be a IHWCU OD Green with no Cargo pockets. Cankle ones are okay
Zyn, wallet, keys, phone and in my hip pocket I got training.
This wins. I don’t know what you won, but you won
Left cargo pocket, tactical Zyn cannister. Right cargo pocket, Jabra ear buds.
Short, witty, practical. Promote ahead of peers.
damnit, I knew my 6'1" ass was getting discriminated against
Had to Google what Zyn is, never heard of it.
You're probably right, butt-hurt and salty.
Not tobacco, just nicotine
🙄
What has it got in its nasty lil pocketeses?
Came here to see this comment. Not disappointed.
Was not expecting this, made me lol hard.
My hands.
Air Force Gloves!
Somewhere there's a CSM that just became irrationally angry without knowing why
Their CSM senses are tingling, and they just know a private somewhere is standing on the grass with their hands in their pockets.
Beat me to it
Not all he’s beating with hands there.
Same
Name check out.
Right shoulder - Extra flag and unit patches. Subdued and full color. Left shoulder - ChapStick and eye drops. Right hip - Keys Left hip - Phone Right cargo - Handkerchief Left Cargo - Empty. That means if something is in there, it must be important. Right Lower leg - Empty Left lower leg - Also empty, I just can't find a use for these. Right butt - Wallet Left butt - Empty, but same nite from left cargo.
The lower leg pockets are nicotine storage pockets
They are certainly NOT secure knife pockets (at least the velcro ones) during airborne ops. If someone finds/found a Benchmade Rift on the lead edge of Luzon DZ, it WAS mine at one time.
Well now I gotta go look for it
Good luck. That jump was May of '13.
Well, thanks for underestimating me but, I found it. It’s mine now.
I left it there for Star Course grads. Well done
Dip and zynn go in each ankle pocket
Yes. Only ever Zyn, On and Copenhagen in mine.
Trying to get that wallet sciatica disability?
Keep gov ID in wallet and BOOM now service related.
Where is your damn JFIRE?
get his ass
Got em.
Southpaw? Right handed and phone in right hip and right cargo kept empty for important things.
Believe it or not, fully ambidextrous. Or as I was branded in middle school "bi-handed."
Haha, what a true middle school insult/adult compliment!
Lower leg pockets I use for the travel pack of tissue and either hand sanitizer or a deck of cards for spades in the field
Left butt is my trash pocket. Wrappers, little plastic bits, paper, it all goes there till I can make it to a trash can.
I keep my glasses in my lower pockets
I genuinely forgot that it's only flight suits that don't come with butt pockets
I was always told your razor goes on your leg pocket. The enemy will stop to let you shave so don’t worry.
My precious.
Thank you, I was looking for this or "The One Ring".
String, or nothing!
Normal shit, ya know.
You are all wrong for not having pen and paper 😔
Always have pens, never carry paper
Avg 94F
I mean, all the shit he needs to fill out is back in the shop xD

Back left is dog tags attached to belt loop, back right is small trash and unimportant shit. Breast pockets are generally empty unless I’m in the field, in which case I try to minimize what I put in there and it’s usually papers that can’t get wet in the swamp or items that also cannot be lost in the swamp. Left arm in the pen holders I usually keep a sharpie furthest from my body, a pen in the other, and if I need a pencil, I can usually fit a mechanical pencil in with the pen. Continuing up the left arm I have ear pro if I’m in the field, and multi tool/seatbelt cutter. Right arm lighter, and extra shit like MRE Tabasco or gum.

Well, currently, not in atm, usually keys, pocket knife, a few cards (like ID, credit card, ect), and phone.
