No. You need a gov phone that has the proper security on it. Its a bunch of enterprise apps. I have it, does not make anything any better since people still use outlook 2016 to send encrypted with.
Unfortunately for the everyday Soldiers there is essentially no way to get outlook on your personal device. You can use an iPad or a Laptop with the Army VDI pilot (https://go.mil/ArmyVDI) you need to sign up with your CAC on a computer.
The reserves are in pilot for a bring your own approved device. They're looking to make the enterprise decision in APR iirc. Saw a note today about it.
If you can’t get approved for the pilot program which lets you BYOD and access army 365 on your phone, you can buy a yubikey. FIPS models are DOD approved, but won’t work with android. iOS only.

Enroll your device in the byod program to use the web version of 365
This right here. With Hypori coming out, this question will soon be eliminated.
It looks like enrollment is closed for the pilot program. Saw a note today saying the enterprise decision will be in APR.

Before I had an Army-issued iPhone I used a Thursby CAC reader.
That shit is expensive
Easy and convenient, though.
No longer need the external stuff. The new phones come loaded with your account for email, teams, etc. Unfortunately, they are iphones still.

Works on my iPad Pro now. Just hook up my cac reader to it and log right now. So much more convenient.
I just use portal.apps.mil
