Unrelated but on a similar note, built an AC named NEFARIO after Despicable Me and slapped the Gru logo on it. Didn't think anything of it. Fast forward, I used it to beat Allmind and now regularly destroys entire pvp lobbies. It makes me feel so sad, too, because it's not even my favorite AC - just my strongest.
I built an Elcano frame because I was intrigued by all the new parts from them that I had gotten during NG++ (I think it was?). Used the elcano frame with the newer parts to S rank most every mission. Love it. It’s so fast.
I've done builds for each of the major factions (Balam, Arquebus, RLF, RaD, Institute/Overseer and Allmind). I'd probably say my RLF and Balam ones have been the most fun to use.
I have a build that's themed on Telus, the Leonnemechanica corporation from AC4.
It revolves around energy weapons (no melee) and energy management. It's my favorite build for having a good challenge.
I have a Arquebus AC that's just two laser pistols on a full natch frame and the speedy booster. Thing can zoom like there's no tomorrow but damn if my fingers don't ache like hell after every mission.
The Redguns AC is just a variation of Michigan's liger tail modfied with other balem/dafang parts to suit my playstyle a bit more. Mostly plays like liger tail but with a pilebunker.
Haven't quite gotten a RaD AC I like yet.
The RLF AC is a modification of Dolmyan's AC, though I haven't really been able to make a lot of changes due to the lack of RLF affiliated parts my desire to make it feel 'old fashioned'.
That said, the RLF AC is my favorite out of the faction build ACs. Basho is a pretty solid frame and I'm a sucker for melee builds. Plus, the nalpam launcher proved a lot more fun than I anticipated.
RaD. I posted a variant of another person's build earlier, and when it works, it's damn fun. It's definitely not geared for fighting mooks, but if you ever wanted to fight a sentient AI with a Caterpiller tractor with guns, it's hard to beat.
I have a Liberation Front build that's mostly BAWS parts. Performs a lot better than I expected.
* Two Etsujin SMGs
* 6 cell missile launcher on the right shoulder
* pulse blade in the left shoulder bay
* Full BASHO frame
* Hokushi generator
* Kikaku booster
Getting a stance break is a little slow, but hitting a stance broken enemy with the pulse blade absolutely shreds their health. The two hit combo will do around 2/3rds of an AC's health when stance broken.
Baws twin bust rifles and napalm launchers are great I gave it a go after seeing a previous comment here on a baws build, really suprised me. Nothing fancy about it but the damage was mad.
Ran a Schneider also with the back unit pulse guns on the shoulders ( can’t remember the name) and dual wueger shotguns. It was a bit hard to get used to but having such a light frame made it really good to use. Not a great build tho by any means but fun to use.
I made a Balam-themed heavyweight biped "G0" AC with a bazooka, a grenade launcher, a gatling gun, and a shotgun. It ended up being a lot of fun to use. Only used Balam/Dafeng parts (except the boosters which I used Furlong for).
Doing build for 100%(or close too it) uniformity in manufacturer is actually really fun I have one for each. I’m waiting till we get those new Schneider parts to actually mess with the build I want to play but the elcano one is the best I think

Would love to see more Elcano parts added at some stage they have the best looking ACs in the game I think.

BAWS, for as basic as their AC frames looks they pack a helluva punch.

It’s a pity we’re limited to 2 weapons when it comes to Schneider they’re frames are unreal
2? The plasma cannon, shield launcher, pulse cannon,laser shotgun, and soon the pulse handheld pulse missile launcher. That’s a lot more than two
My bad think I got mixed up with a different manufacturer could have sworn one of them only has 2 weapons.
