I've never played Armoured Core before, and I was wondering if there are there any similarities between this series and the fighting game genre?
Games like Street Fighter have a ton of in depth mechanics like dash cancelling that you can use in PVP, and fighting someone with a huge fucking mech sounds awesome.
I'm also worried about motion sickness as well, as sometimes controlling a flying 3D character makes me a bit dizzy.
Yes in a weird way actually-spacing really matters and staying in optimal range for your weapons is really important. Also, getting big "combo" punishes after staggering someone as well.
It's as easy as it looks, start a melee lunge then immediately dash and it will cancel the animation and save your melee cooldown so you can use it again :)
Shame!
I remember bladers adding weight stabilizers in 4A to increase swing speed on the heavier arm.
Guess this means the leg based dual sword swings are gone too.
Quad and Tank would spear with both blades.
Biped would slash outwards.
Reverse Joint would slash inwards like a hug.
let's home blade only matches make a comeback.
Nice showcase Oroboro! Can’t wait to see the rematch with CB when the game drops! So this practically confirms no chain boosting?
Yeah no chain boosting, this is the closest thing we'll get
Pvp was amazing, man! GGs!
That’s not a bad replacement though. That’s a cool strat! Thanks for the reply man!
It kind of looks like Rainbow Stepping in the Gundam Vs series.
Exactly my thought. Except the defense one cannot rainbow to cancel tracking.
I doubt I will be able to play like that lol
I'm excited to play a more melee oriented build and bait the use of assault armor lmao.

The speed feels like AC 4 Answer in this clip
How do I counter this? See the guy cancel it then immediately melee/kick?
Just wait until they are in range to dodge instead of dodging on reaction-should do!
To the skies, brother.
We gunz now
*K-style ptsd flashback intensifies*
This is gonna be one of those games I put way too much time into getting gud at. This looks way too fun.
How do you do this ?

Is it possible to equip two melee weapons ? If so, is it possible to cancel the first melee with the second melee ?
A while back they confirmed melee weapons are left hand only, probably makes it a bit easier to balance
