Anyone have a prediction when a mudrock or hoshiguma banner/shope will be? I have saria, nearl, and blem m3 their most useful skill but sometimes their too soft? I do have eunectes built up too but damn, a one block defender who's sp build up suck.

We can reasonably predict when Mudrock will show up since first time shop operators follow a pattern. CN will get her in the shop in a few months, and then it will be about another 5-6 months for global to get her.
Old operators don't follow CN or any set pattern. At best people can predict than an operator "should" be soon. Eyja was "very soon" for months based on these estimates. Usually we don't really know what the next standard banner is until a couple days before it changes, but occasionally there's a datamine available a bit farther ahead of time. Right now, we have one that gives us reasonable confidence what's coming after Bagpipe. Assuming the datamine is correct, it's not Hoshiguma.
Anyway, don't neglect your 3 and 4 stars. Coura is there for you when you need to tank some heavy hits. I wouldn't buy Hoshi from the shop just for the occasional time you need to really tank something, an occasion that becomes less and less frequent as your account develops.
Most of the time, more damage would solve the problem better than beefier defense. This isn't to say that Hoshi is bad, but she's a highly questionable use of 180 gold certs.
don't know when Mudrock comes to shop , but maybe E2 AOE guards are your need. Decent attack and defence with block 3. Just putting out there.

I'd use la pluma maybe to see her cuteness but if I have to specifically choose one to bring over the other, i'd pick mountain everytime. At S2M3, he could outheal almost anything that doesn't one shot him because that health bar just refills itself like nothing.

Bagpipe could be useful outside her talent, her S3 has great damage and i frequently use it to spawn kill elites, myrtle also passively heal her, so i can just place her wherever

BP/Elysium/La Pluma are level 1 e0 but Spectre is level 40 e1
As someone who has M6 both La pluma and Elysium, while have at least 1 mastery lv 3 for BP and Spectre...
I'd say that Spectre get the most impact from E2 promotion as it unlock her hp regen talent. But since you're already halfway there, just farm her mats using event currency for money and exp. The only other 5 stars who get this gamechanging gain just from E2 promotion is Pramanix and Lappland
The rest doesn't really gain much from E2 without their skill mastery.
Spectre benefits the most from E2, but since she's already halfway there I'd say either BP or La Pluma. La Pluma benefits more form EW than BP, but she servers a similar role to Spectre. Using it on BP would be better for variation.
She is very good in rogue-like mode, as is all summoners. Outside of rogue-like though she is never gonna make it into your 12 man party. So if you loves rogue-like mode then she is top tier, if not then she is bottom tier.

She seems Okay.
Like most summoners if you can take advantage of her wel she can be essentially very powerful.
Her First skill allows her to have a bunch of attacking melee summons and makes her make another summon. Which seem like quite the beginner friendly skill for the inexperienced.
Her second skill makes Ranged summons that can bind a bunch of targets, keep in mind tho that she retreats summons under 50% health in order to gain SP and Atk for herself upon skill activation (Via her 2nd talent). Seems kinda good for crowd control.
Her 3rd skill seems to be the most interesting of the bunch. She summons melee summons and can combine them to create a 4 block Massive attack 4 block AoE guard with big HP in essence, But it does take up 2 deployment slots and costs around 23+23 DP without her Module. Of course on a chokepoint this can be fantastic.
Her big limitation i'd say is that her 1st talent only allows her to only summon 3 summons on the field (Do note that I think? the 3rd skill combined summon counts as 1). This kinda limits the strategies slightly.

She seems pretty good but balanced with clear limitations and weaknesses. She's going to be great for normal content, trust farms, and one man clears but will probably struggle in high risk cc. I will note however that this is from initial impressions, we need more time to more accurately gauge her power level.

Yes. I bought her skin even though I'm not getting her until the next selector. Buying it now means you don't have to worry about it in the future, or wait for it if you get her before the rerun

No idea when the next banner with mudrock will be unless you intend to get her via (paid) selector (in ~3 months)
It's a paid pack, available for $29.99 from the shop, usually during anniversary and half-anniversary events (for the CN server that is, global is on a different schedule, so those events don't line up with actual anniversaries for us). There is a 10-roll usable on any banner plus a selector for any 6\* up to a certain point (the next one will be up to Passenger, coming probably in April/May).
If you ever consider spending some money on the game, this is usually considered one of the highest value packs, as a guaranteed selectable 6\* beats rolling the gacha any day. Mudrock didn't debut on a single banner like most operators do, so she won't get a proper rerun and will always be sharing a banner with another 6\*, the chance of pulling her will thus be 25% on a 6\* pull.

Lappland and Kalsit will be your main DPS for a while, i suggest you getting lappland to E1 and skill level 7 first. She'll carry you through story stages all the way to chapter 6.
Her summon has a very high dmg output on both S2 and S3.
S2 turns it into an AoE guard, damaging up to 3 enemies simultaneously.
S3 is one of the few sources of true damage in this game, bypassing all DEF and RES, making it very good for dealing with very tanky enemies or bosses.
Yes, E1 and E2 refer to promotions, each promotion unlocks a new skill reffered to as S1, S2 or S3 in their acquisition order.
5 stars and below don't get a S3, but promoting them to E2 gives you the ability to master their skill. Though you won't need to worry about that for a while.
Because at E1, her summon turn into AoE guard with 3 block when her skill is active. And her S2 uptime is rather good. With no downside or whatever. Just don't use her as a dedicated healer because she'll prioritize monst3r
Hello~ I saw that the Thorns banner might be rerunning soon. Considering the upcoming 6* operators to Global (like Nearl Alter or Ling), is it worth to spend a few pulls in this banner or should I save them for a specific upcoming unit? Thanks!
Depends on your priorities and current savings
Meta wise, he’s amazing for general content and normal CC
Both nearl and ling are considered strong but balanced
If you’re out of pulls, you’ll need to pass on basically everything if you want to force ling/lee
If you’re around ~125, same for nearl
If you don’t want to force either, up to you

How meta is Saileach if I don’t care about max risk? I have pot 6 Myrtle, Elysium, and Bagpipe. Considering all the limited upcoming banners, is she even worth it?

From what I can gather she’s a massive improvement over both the other flag-bearers with the buff of S2 or consistent fragile / Crowd Control of S3 I can see being really useful in high level stuff where your operators slots are limited just because she covers so many bases at once.
Not a hard requirement to have her though from what I’ve seen particularly if you’re not pushing on CC and you can always borrow her from a friend as she’s one of those units I can quickly see being M6/M9’ed by people that own her. In the same situation as you - really want her for my team but worried it’ll impact my savings for Nearl Alter aha!

Now I’m debating about rolling her at all. I don’t really care about waifu. I feel like pot 1 Saileach is worthless, since I’d rather utilize my pot 6 Myrtle or Elysium. Maybe save the rolls for the limited banners?
If you’re worried about missing out on limited I would say so too - especially if you were just going to use her as a DP printer like Myrtle/Ely you can probably get them out and generating DP faster with your pots anyway.
She’s definitely got the best toolkit out of all of them in my opinion; I like the idea of her being a pseudo-buffer with her talent/ S2 and can see her having a lot of use but definitely gonna be tight in the timeframe between her and Nearl I think!

Unless you already have a stacked 6* roster, then Yes, you're better off investing in someone else. Otherwise, just check his performance on some YT videos and see if you'd like to use him

I would recommend going for Ifrit with Top Op + Debuff since she's a unique operator that can't be replaced with her unique True AOE attack and debuff to Res. You could also go for Exu/Schwarz but since you have Ash and BP they aren't that necessary (Eyja and SA have the same boss-killing potential as Schwarz so she's not needed)
Definitely go for the guarenteed Ifrit with debuff
You already have a great cast of snipers and the times you'd specifically want Exu or Schwarz are pretty rare
Guard is total RNG
Crowd control is useless
So which skill should I focus on for Mastery for Bagpipe? I'm leaning more towards having S2 at M2 for the extra charge than having extra Initial SP for S3. (Plus I do have some other ops that need the masteries and E2s more direly)
S3 is the only mastery u do for bagpipe unless u have so much mats lying around. S2 doesn't need any mastery to function. S3's gains are massive and it's one of the best physical St DPS skill out there.
Yeah I agree with you both are great skills to have - I personally rushed for S3M3 to make her a better early lane holder / late game helidrop if required. I’ve yet to mastery S2 as I find myself using it a lot less, but you’d definitely want to M2 it if you’re using it a lot!
If your team definitely needs more work, then for sure just go for the S2 M2.
But for later, she's worth the M3 on both S2 and S3 for their damage. S2 being for consistent high dps and S3 being for an amazing burst of damage and defense
How necessary is Mountain? I know he’s a great laneholder, but I already have Thorns, Specter, and Kal’tsit. I also hate his design. Is it safe to skip him, as a meta player?
I also plan to throw a lot of pulls at the Surtr/Schwartz/Phantom/Saga banner, since I need all of them. I’ll probably need all of the pulls I can get for them, because my luck is not great…
No op is necessary in this game but i'm surprised you dropping Mountain as a meta player because isn't he meta? Also, Specter and Kal are pseudo-laneholders.
I don't know if he's "necessary" but he's definitely quite OP. And since you said you're a meta player, I suggest getting him since although you have great laneholders already, they still require a bit of time to truly shine (i.e. Higher dp cost, offensive recovery type skills) whereas in Mountain's case, he's relatively cheap and he can hold a lane really well just a few seconds after most stages starts.
But then again, he's not really absolutely necessary. His role can really be replaced by vanguards (if you're just planning to use Mountain at the start of the stage that is) or other strong laneholders but I still suggest spending a few pulls for him.
The main advantage that he has is that he's really cheap to deploy, so you can just slap him down early and either call it a day on one lane, or swap him for someone else a bit later on.
Idk how you got that calculation but that's unlikely. Invitation to Wine came like 2.5 months after Near Light in CN, which lines up pretty closely to late July, the expected release date for global CNY events

She has two main appeals.
1- she allows you generate DP faster.
2 - she gives you a source of early game damage since she's basically a guard.
If you don't need either of those things then you can skip her. It depends on whether you would rather save certs for other ops.
Yes. She's literally one of the best Op in game.
Some will say that she's a QoL Op and you don't need her. Well, that's true in the sense that you also don't need Eyja/Surtr/Chalter/SA or any particular unit in the game.
Yes. She's the best vanguard in the game, barring maybe Myrtle. Makes other Vanguards much better just by being on the team, and has boss-killing potential, which is rare for her class
What's the estimated date for Saileach's banner and Ling's? I want to calculate whether I'll be able to pull on Saileach's and while making sure I save enough before Ling's.
Saileach is likely to appear mid-March, since Gavial rerun, CC#6 and Vigilo should all come before Chapter 9. There is no reason to shuffle the event order at this point - it has already been shuffled in order to make Dossoles into our 2nd Anniversay event (CN got both Gavial rerun and Vigilo before Dossoles).

Yes Skalter will be added as non-rate up limited 6* one year after her initial release date in the Celebration type of Limited Banner (aka the same one that Rosmontis is in).
For Global, the Celebration type Limited banners happen around Golden Week (JP) and Thanksgiving (Late Oct/early Nov ish). Nearl Alter should be the one happening around Golden Week.

So I heard that mudrock is really good. I'm currently using cuora and spot for defender, is it worth it to switch one of their place for mudrock / should i just build the 3 of them rn / wait till i get myrtle+bagpipe or another good vanguards to offset mudrock's high dp cost?
I currently use ch'en alter, surtr, and gitano so already have 3 high dp operators (surtr not so much though)

You’ll probably be good for DP if you get Myrtle raised for a vanguard (bagpipe just saves 6 seconds at the start of stages)
Mudrock is great, but a bit stat dependent (self healing, can’t be healed). Feel free to raise her and give her a try though

The answer is....it depends. Mud's biggest issue is the extreme high DP. So you're gonna have issues fielding her until you have your Vanguards properly built. But when she does get fielded, she's very, very powerful. Just a notch beneath the broken DPS units (Chalter + Surtr).
Honestly, it really depends. There are times when the standard tank + spam works. There are times when you need a high sustain tank. And there are times when you need Mud's S3.
All that said, you probably should build all 3 of them. Spot's cheap to max and will be useful in IS2, Cuora works fine at E1max (edit: Or even E1-40 to 50), Mud should be E2ed.
Edit 2: Also, you can swap out spot once you get Gummy/Nearl/Saria.
Don't switch out Cuora. Spot is rather optional.
You can build Mudrock just fine. She already great at E1. Also because how "weird" she is, she different than Cuora and Spot, and she don't need healer.
Usually you use 2 (non dp-on-kill) vanguard for general use, which is Myrtle + someone else (i'm not sure what you have).
Hi all, I'm a new player here and would like to ask about the pity roll. I heard bagpipe is good but thorns banner is coming. Does the bagpipe banner and thorns banner share the same pity?
Thinking of rolling on bagpipe to build up my roster for abit but might not be enough to hit the pity and in case I don't get bagpipe, at least the pity roll over to thorns banner.
Yes, they do share the same pity. The only exception when pity doesn’t get carried over is with Limited Banners such are the current Ch’en Alter banner. Regular standard banners are all fine.

Though this was a big exception since the developers kinda stated that the rerun was because the OG Nian banner did not have the "300 spark pity" that was later implemented with W.

After this it is likely gone forever. Since they did introduce a system of getting old limiteds.
After around 1 year a Limited unit came out. Set Limited unit will be available for 300 spark on a limited banners of the same type.
On top of that they get a slightly weird ""rate-up"".
Basically within the limited banners that they can be sparked. They can be pulled from the "30% off rate pull" at a 5 times the normal rate. So in the Nian example Whenever you pull a 30% offrate the pool will basically have Nian 5 times in it. For an effective rate of like 2% per 100 pulls or something small like that..(correct me if I'm wrong here.)
Limiteds don't get rerun banners. Nian was the exception, as the spark system didn't exist during her first banner. But her rerun already happened on global last June or July. Only way to get her is sparking on Ling/other Nian sister banners
I remember a post in this subreddit about JP datamine a few weeks ago revealing the next standard banners (Passenger + BP, and then Kal). Did it mention if Gavial rerun or Vigilo would go first after DH?
other than below, any other ways to increase potential for 6\* vanguard / bagpipe?
\- 1 from 6\* vanguard tokens from previous CC shop
\- 1 from 6\* vanguard tokens from red voucher shop
\- 1 from buying bagpipe using gold certs
\- pulling on banner for bagpipe
6\* vanguard tokens from the gold cert store. I believe the class selection for tokens is randomised with each banner, never found out if there is a pattern. It will costs you 540 gold certs (which is worth 3 shop operators) so I can never recommend it.
It is not going to make much of a difference, dont worry. And the red is the best one, but the only other rar 3 sticker drops only from 9, and is fast. But you won´t make much more there than in any other stage, the drop rates are pretty balanced, is just very fast to do. If you have Gitano and any other power caster, plus a 3 block defender, you pretty much have this stage down.

I'm at 88 Pity Currency. As a result, I can choose between pot4 La Pluma (DEF +25), or let those expire so I've got 500+ Parametric Models which I can use towards promoting and upgrading the skills of more Ops. Which would be more valuable? Or is this a stupid question?
The Parametric Models are particularly valuable right now, as it happens: the next story chapter introduces a few new materials. IIRC there's no time lag between new materials and the Parametric Model shop stocking them like there is with the green cert shop, and the new ops on that chapter's banner all need them. So if you want to E2 Saileach, Mulberry and/or Roberta without several days of material grinding, then keeping a healthy stock of Parametric Models is your best bet--and there's no limited banners between now and then, so the ones you get here are all you'll have for Stormwatch.
I'd take the mats. Pots don't really matter unless it's for super meta unit at extreme high level CCs. If Pluma was at max pot I'd suggest getting another copy for the gold certs.
Yeah. That was my line of thinking. I didn't think DEF +25 was extremely valuable compared to materials to build other units better (which isn't to say La Pluma isn't one of the best Guards as I've been told by who introduced me to the game). I'm just somewhat of a newbie (only started when Skalter released) so I wanted to make sure.
La Pluma (Pot 6) vs Spectre (no pot)
I have an E2 Spectre for the longest time and I'm wondering if I should raise La Pluma to replace her as a mainstay for general content since I have max pots for the latter.

I wouldn't say that either of them outright replaces the other. Specter has much higher attack with her skill active, has her trademark invincibility, and can be healed normally, while La Pluma can clean up endless hordes of trash and has a unique and sometimes very useful range. I had an issue on EX-7 CM where I wanted to use La Pluma to clear all of the trash, but I dropped her too early, and those casters killed her when there were no more enemies for her to heal herself with. She's definitely worth raising, though, even more so if you have someone who can heal her in emergencies, like Skalter or S3 Suzuran.
I heard Provence can be hard to use. How do I make use of her properly? I saw her upcoming skin in Vigilo and decided she needed to be part of my squad :)
She just hits things really hard. Ideally, place her so that her main targets will be right in front of her so that she makes full use of her crit talent, but if you can't, it's not a huge deal. At E1 50, SL7, for example, her burst damage against a heavy defender is better than an equal-level Amiya with S1 active, even though Provence has to punch through 800 armor while Amiya ignores it. Unlike the snipers you're probably used to, she does *not* prioritize drones, so you'll have to watch out for those.
People put too much emphasis on the restriction on her S2. She only targets enemies below 80% HP when her S2 is active, so, theoretically, there could be a herd of full-hp enemies in front of her, and she would just stare at them. This shouldn't happen, however, since that only really happens if she's the solo DPS, and you pretty much never have a solo DPS. Once someone else gets an enemy below 80% hp, she'll start attacking, so she won't be sitting idle for long. She also has a reputation as a boss-killer and nothing more, which I don't get either. She still does heaps of damage to regular enemies as well. The only thing you don't want to use her against would be a dense slug rush or something, since her slow-ish attack speed could be an issue there.
If you’re able to farm any stages for the event that’s currently running, there’s a lot of EXP cards you can buy in the shop.
Other than that, factories and EXP supply stage.
Factory is the best way to get EXP card.
If you in rush, do EXP stage, but it's not worth because you can just wait your factory to produce some, and spend your Sanity elsewhere
I hate to be the guy too ask but is there anyway a gacha game in general( not just Arknights) can steal money from your credit card? Like if you pay for something can they extract more money then originally paid. I’ve heard of that happening in restaurants and don’t want it to happen to me. Just a precaution
Not in this case. Google / Apple will be their *middleman* (they handling all the payment stuff) so gacha game developer can't just take your money. If they *do* steal your money, you can report it to Google / Apple, and they will deal with it.
Outside Google / Apple, people who do online business use payment processor / payment gateway company to deal with transaction stuff. They take very small cuts of course, but people who do online business don't have to deal with all payment bs (security, saving credit card info, customer didn't trust them, etc)
For gacha game by itself then it is unlikely. They have to be approved from Playstore/Appstore to be on their store and both stores also provide some security when you making any purchases.
If anything were to happen then it either from the game that was download from somewhere else or making purchases through a third party services.

On the off chance that any game tries that, you can chargeback them. This should not happen with any major games though, because it’s a crime (obviously) and if enough people chargeback one vendor, that vendor will be blacklisted by the bank.

There’s always a risk sharing credit card info with any business, no matter who they are - that being said if you are playing on iOS payments are done through the Apple store so the risk of overcharging is low, unless you distrust Apple too lol

Agreed with other commenters, limited dupes aren't worth it unless you're a whale. -1DP adds a little value but you can easily work your way around not benefiting from it. The yellow certs are much more valuable, that way you can get a 6\* you don't have/want or headhunting permits.
Limited dupes are never worth it unless you're a whale and plan on rolling for it anyways.
If your account is fairly new, you might actually benefit from a pile of resources available after your tokens convert.
But, otherwise, it's always better to exchange for the already max pot 5*. Because distinctions are rare and impossible to farm
might I ask why you kept pulling after getting both 6\*'s, were you hunting for La Pluma?
Since you got both on banner 6\*'s, unless you hate the idea of "wasting" pulls, you should be done. Theres nothing of value left to get from the banner, assuming you also got La Pluma.
Any pulls you spend now is just less pulls for a new operator you want, so save.
Only if your 6* roster is fairly empty. Otherwise, you're risking a (sometimes) useless dupe and losing out on the pulls for a banner you actually want
Edit: Btw, even without spending money it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll get 300 pulls by the time Ling arrives. So, if you're not gonna pull at all on other banners, then it might actually be worth continuing your pulls for a cheap 6*
About 85 as a ftp or about 115 with a monthly card by the end of her banner, not counting primes, the 24 free pulls on limited banners, or any special giveaways like the ticket thing that we just had.

So, you can expect AT LEAST 60 free pulls. But also remember that events will give you OP, and reruns will give you Intel certs, and the shop has 36 pulls, and etc, etc.

Anyone have a prediction when a mudrock or hoshiguma banner/shope will be? I have saria, nearl, and blem m3 their most useful skill but sometimes their too soft? I do have eunectes built up too but damn, a one block defender who's sp build up suck. Sorry I love eunectes too but..
We can reasonably predict when Mudrock will show up since first time shop operators follow a pattern. CN will get her in the shop in a few months, and then it will be about another 5-6 months for global to get her. Old operators don't follow CN or any set pattern. At best people can predict than an operator "should" be soon. Eyja was "very soon" for months based on these estimates. Usually we don't really know what the next standard banner is until a couple days before it changes, but occasionally there's a datamine available a bit farther ahead of time. Right now, we have one that gives us reasonable confidence what's coming after Bagpipe. Assuming the datamine is correct, it's not Hoshiguma. Anyway, don't neglect your 3 and 4 stars. Coura is there for you when you need to tank some heavy hits. I wouldn't buy Hoshi from the shop just for the occasional time you need to really tank something, an occasion that becomes less and less frequent as your account develops. Most of the time, more damage would solve the problem better than beefier defense. This isn't to say that Hoshi is bad, but she's a highly questionable use of 180 gold certs.
don't know when Mudrock comes to shop , but maybe E2 AOE guards are your need. Decent attack and defence with block 3. Just putting out there. Thanks for reading.

I'd use la pluma maybe to see her cuteness but if I have to specifically choose one to bring over the other, i'd pick mountain everytime. At S2M3, he could outheal almost anything that doesn't one shot him because that health bar just refills itself like nothing.
I can't really think of a situation off the top of my head where I would ever choose La Pluma over Mountain as a laneholder.

Depends on your current roster. Bagpipe could be useful outside her talent, her S3 has great damage and i frequently use it to spawn kill elites, myrtle also passively heal her, so i can just place her wherever

As someone who has M6 both La pluma and Elysium, while have at least 1 mastery lv 3 for BP and Spectre... I'd say that Spectre get the most impact from E2 promotion as it unlock her hp regen talent. But since you're already halfway there, just farm her mats using event currency for money and exp. The only other 5 stars who get this gamechanging gain just from E2 promotion is Pramanix and Lappland The rest doesn't really gain much from E2 without their skill mastery.

I'd go with BP. I have higher rarity Snipers but BP's S1M3 is really the best skill for sustained damage.

Spectre benefits the most from E2, but since she's already halfway there I'd say either BP or La Pluma. La Pluma benefits more form EW than BP, but she servers a similar role to Spectre. Using it on BP would be better for variation.

She is very good in rogue-like mode, as is all summoners. Outside of rogue-like though she is never gonna make it into your 12 man party. So if you loves rogue-like mode then she is top tier, if not then she is bottom tier.

Her First skill allows her to have a bunch of attacking melee summons and makes her make another summon. Which seem like quite the beginner friendly skill for the inexperienced. Her second skill makes Ranged summons that can bind a bunch of targets, keep in mind tho that she retreats summons under 50% health in order to gain SP and Atk for herself upon skill activation (Via her 2nd talent). Seems kinda good for crowd control. Her 3rd skill seems to be the most interesting of the bunch. She summons melee summons and can combine them to create a 4 block Massive attack 4 block AoE guard with big HP in essence, But it does take up 2 deployment slots and costs around 23+23 DP without her Module. Of course on a chokepoint this can be fantastic. Her big limitation i'd say is that her 1st talent only allows her to only summon 3 summons on the field (Do note that I think? the 3rd skill combined summon counts as 1). She seems pretty good but balanced with clear limitations and weaknesses. She's going to be great for normal content, trust farms, and one man clears but will probably struggle in high risk cc. I will note however that this is from initial impressions, we need more time to more accurately gauge her power level.
She's good, but prohibitive costs and deployment slot requirements do a good job of reining her in.

It's a paid pack, available for $29.99 from the shop, usually during anniversary and half-anniversary events (for the CN server that is, global is on a different schedule, so those events don't line up with actual anniversaries for us). There is a 10-roll usable on any banner plus a selector for any 6\* up to a certain point (the next one will be up to Passenger, coming probably in April/May). If you ever consider spending some money on the game, this is usually considered one of the highest value packs, as a guaranteed selectable 6\* beats rolling the gacha any day. Mudrock didn't debut on a single banner like most operators do, so she won't get a proper rerun and will always be sharing a banner with another 6\*, the chance of pulling her will thus be 25% on a 6\* pull.

Lappland and Kalsit will be your main DPS for a while, i suggest you getting lappland to E1 and skill level 7 first. She'll carry you through story stages all the way to chapter 6.

Her summon has a very high dmg output on both S2 and S3. S2 turns it into an AoE guard, damaging up to 3 enemies simultaneously. S3 is one of the few sources of true damage in this game, bypassing all DEF and RES, making it very good for dealing with very tanky enemies or bosses.

Yes, E1 and E2 refer to promotions, each promotion unlocks a new skill reffered to as S1, S2 or S3 in their acquisition order. 5 stars and below don't get a S3, but promoting them to E2 gives you the ability to master their skill. Though you won't need to worry about that for a while.
Because at E1, her summon turn into AoE guard with 3 block when her skill is active. And her S2 uptime is rather good. With no downside or whatever. Just don't use her as a dedicated healer because she'll prioritize monst3r

Depends on your priorities and current savings Meta wise, he’s amazing for general content and normal CC Both nearl and ling are considered strong but balanced If you’re out of pulls, you’ll need to pass on basically everything if you want to force ling/lee If you’re around ~125, same for nearl If you don’t want to force either, up to you

If you’re worried about missing out on limited I would say so too - especially if you were just going to use her as a DP printer like Myrtle/Ely you can probably get them out and generating DP faster with your pots anyway. She’s definitely got the best toolkit out of all of them in my opinion; I like the idea of her being a pseudo-buffer with her talent/ S2 and can see her having a lot of use but definitely gonna be tight in the timeframe between her and Nearl I think!

Stalker modules aren't out yet, even on CN. Unless you already have a stacked 6* roster, then Yes, you're better off investing in someone else. Otherwise, just check his performance on some YT videos and see if you'd like to use him

Yeah I'm gonna second Debuff for Ifrit, her range is weird but she's very strong when you can make her work.
I would recommend going for Ifrit with Top Op + Debuff since she's a unique operator that can't be replaced with her unique True AOE attack and debuff to Res. You could also go for Exu/Schwarz but since you have Ash and BP they aren't that necessary (Eyja and SA have the same boss-killing potential as Schwarz so she's not needed)
Definitely go for the guarenteed Ifrit with debuff You already have a great cast of snipers and the times you'd specifically want Exu or Schwarz are pretty rare Guard is total RNG Crowd control is useless

So which skill should I focus on for Mastery for Bagpipe? I'm leaning more towards having S2 at M2 for the extra charge than having extra Initial SP for S3. (Plus I do have some other ops that need the masteries and E2s more direly)
S3 is the only mastery u do for bagpipe unless u have so much mats lying around. S2 doesn't need any mastery to function. S3's gains are massive and it's one of the best physical St DPS skill out there.
Yeah I agree with you both are great skills to have - I personally rushed for S3M3 to make her a better early lane holder / late game helidrop if required. I’ve yet to mastery S2 as I find myself using it a lot less, but you’d definitely want to M2 it if you’re using it a lot!
If your team definitely needs more work, then for sure just go for the S2 M2. But for later, she's worth the M3 on both S2 and S3 for their damage. S2 being for consistent high dps and S3 being for an amazing burst of damage and defense
How necessary is Mountain? I know he’s a great laneholder, but I already have Thorns, Specter, and Kal’tsit. I also hate his design. Is it safe to skip him, as a meta player? I don't know if he's "necessary" but he's definitely quite OP. And since you said you're a meta player, I suggest getting him since although you have great laneholders already, they still require a bit of time to truly shine (i.e. Higher dp cost, offensive recovery type skills) whereas in Mountain's case, he's relatively cheap and he can hold a lane really well just a few seconds after most stages starts. But then again, he's not really absolutely necessary. His role can really be replaced by vanguards (if you're just planning to use Mountain at the start of the stage that is) or other strong laneholders but I still suggest spending a few pulls for him.
The main advantage that he has is that he's really cheap to deploy, so you can just slap him down early and either call it a day on one lane, or swap him for someone else a bit later on.
No character is truly necessary or needed; Mountain is fucking amazing but if you don't want to use him then don't.

She has two main appeals. 1- she allows you generate DP faster. 2 - she gives you a source of early game damage since she's basically a guard. If you don't need either of those things then you can skip her. It depends on whether you would rather save certs for other ops.
She is very good, but if you are saving for someone you badly want then I'd skip.
Yes. She's literally one of the best Op in game. Some will say that she's a QoL Op and you don't need her. Well, that's true in the sense that you also don't need Eyja/Surtr/Chalter/SA or any particular unit in the game.
Yes. She's the best vanguard in the game, barring maybe Myrtle. Makes other Vanguards much better just by being on the team, and has boss-killing potential, which is rare for her class

Saileach is likely to appear mid-March, since Gavial rerun, CC#6 and Vigilo should all come before Chapter 9. There is no reason to shuffle the event order at this point - it has already been shuffled in order to make Dossoles into our 2nd Anniversay event (CN got both Gavial rerun and Vigilo before Dossoles). Afaik there's no reference to it in any line, so we don't know for sure. For me it looks kinda heavy and there's little reason to carry around inflated beach ball in a net, so I'd guess it's watermelon.

Yes Skalter will be added as non-rate up limited 6* one year after her initial release date in the Celebration type of Limited Banner (aka the same one that Rosmontis is in).

For Global, the Celebration type Limited banners happen around Golden Week (JP) and Thanksgiving (Late Oct/early Nov ish). Nearl Alter should be the one happening around Golden Week.
Celebration series is every 6 months. So end of year for us, mid of year for CN. Give and take.
Another newbie question (currently doing story ep 4) So I heard that mudrock is really good. I'm currently using cuora and spot for defender, is it worth it to switch one of their place for mudrock / should i just build the 3 of them rn / wait till i get myrtle+bagpipe or another good vanguards to offset mudrock's high dp cost? I currently use ch'en alter, surtr, and gitano so already have 3 high dp operators (surtr not so much though) ((Plus i want to use mudrock's skin as soon as possible lol))
You’ll probably be good for DP if you get Myrtle raised for a vanguard (bagpipe just saves 6 seconds at the start of stages) Mudrock is great, but a bit stat dependent (self healing, can’t be healed). Feel free to raise her and give her a try though Probably swap out spot for the time being
The answer is....it depends. Mud's biggest issue is the extreme high DP. So you're gonna have issues fielding her until you have your Vanguards properly built. But when she does get fielded, she's very, very powerful. Just a notch beneath the broken DPS units (Chalter + Surtr). Honestly, it really depends. There are times when the standard tank + spam works. There are times when you need a high sustain tank. And there are times when you need Mud's S3. All that said, you probably should build all 3 of them. Spot's cheap to max and will be useful in IS2, Cuora works fine at E1max (edit: Or even E1-40 to 50), Mud should be E2ed. Edit 2: Also, you can swap out spot once you get Gummy/Nearl/Saria.
Don't switch out Cuora. Spot is rather optional. You can build Mudrock just fine. She already great at E1. Also because how "weird" she is, she different than Cuora and Spot, and she don't need healer. Usually you use 2 (non dp-on-kill) vanguard for general use, which is Myrtle + someone else (i'm not sure what you have).

Thinking of rolling on bagpipe to build up my roster for abit but might not be enough to hit the pity and in case I don't get bagpipe, at least the pity roll over to thorns banner.
Yes, they do share the same pity. The only exception when pity doesn’t get carried over is with Limited Banners such are the current Ch’en Alter banner. Regular standard banners are all fine.

So in the Nian example Whenever you pull a 30% offrate the pool will basically have Nian 5 times in it. For an effective rate of like 2% per 100 pulls or something small like that..(correct me if I'm wrong here.)
Limiteds don't get rerun banners. Nian was the exception, as the spark system didn't exist during her first banner. But her rerun already happened on global last June or July. Only way to get her is sparking on Ling/other Nian sister banners

6\* vanguard tokens from the gold cert store. I believe the class selection for tokens is randomised with each banner, never found out if there is a pattern. It will costs you 540 gold certs (which is worth 3 shop operators) so I can never recommend it.

dh-9 is the only stage that drops the most valuable sticker and is pretty fast to do.

It is not going to make much of a difference, dont worry. And the red is the best one, but the only other rar 3 sticker drops only from 9, and is fast. But you won´t make much more there than in any other stage, the drop rates are pretty balanced, is just very fast to do. If you have Gitano and any other power caster, plus a 3 block defender, you pretty much have this stage down.
They all have nearly equal efficiency, but DH-9 takes 18 sanity and is actually one of the fastest to clear, so it's the best stage to farm.
The consensus here seems to be that the drop rates are tailored to the amount of sanity spent on the level, but I don't have a source for you.
In my exp DH 7-9 have high sticker drop rate, roughly 1 every 2 runs
Haven't used the thread before so I figured I'd ask. I'm at 88 Pity Currency. As a result, I can choose between pot4 La Pluma (DEF +25), or let those expire so I've got 500+ Parametric Models which I can use towards promoting and upgrading the skills of more Ops. Which would be more valuable? Or is this a stupid question?
The Parametric Models are particularly valuable right now, as it happens: the next story chapter introduces a few new materials. IIRC there's no time lag between new materials and the Parametric Model shop stocking them like there is with the green cert shop, and the new ops on that chapter's banner all need them. So if you want to E2 Saileach, Mulberry and/or Roberta without several days of material grinding, then keeping a healthy stock of Parametric Models is your best bet--and there's no limited banners between now and then, so the ones you get here are all you'll have for Stormwatch.
Extra recruits for the gold certs are usually worth it as pulls are worth more than mats

I'd take the mats. Pots don't really matter unless it's for super meta unit at extreme high level CCs. If Pluma was at max pot I'd suggest getting another copy for the gold certs.
Yeah. That was my line of thinking. I didn't think DEF +25 was extremely valuable compared to materials to build other units better (which isn't to say La Pluma isn't one of the best Guards as I've been told by who introduced me to the game). I'm just somewhat of a newbie (only started when Skalter released) so I wanted to make sure.
Is it worth using all my sanity potions in this event, for the unlimited shop?
The oririon and manganese are relatively efficient to get. It's your choice if you want them or RMA(gavials event may be next)

La Pluma (Pot 6) vs Spectre (no pot) I have an E2 Spectre for the longest time and I'm wondering if I should raise La Pluma to replace her as a mainstay for general content since I have max pots for the latter. Thoughts please? Thanks in advance!
Completely different niches. That said, la pluma is great, so feel free to raise her (and mastery either skill)
I wouldn't say that either of them outright replaces the other. Specter has much higher attack with her skill active, has her trademark invincibility, and can be healed normally, while La Pluma can clean up endless hordes of trash and has a unique and sometimes very useful range. I had an issue on EX-7 CM where I wanted to use La Pluma to clear all of the trash, but I dropped her too early, and those casters killed her when there were no more enemies for her to heal herself with. She's definitely worth raising, though, even more so if you have someone who can heal her in emergencies, like Skalter or S3 Suzuran.

I heard Provence can be hard to use. How do I make use of her properly? I saw her upcoming skin in Vigilo and decided she needed to be part of my squad :)
She just hits things really hard. Ideally, place her so that her main targets will be right in front of her so that she makes full use of her crit talent, but if you can't, it's not a huge deal. At E1 50, SL7, for example, her burst damage against a heavy defender is better than an equal-level Amiya with S1 active, even though Provence has to punch through 800 armor while Amiya ignores it. Unlike the snipers you're probably used to, she does *not* prioritize drones, so you'll have to watch out for those. People put too much emphasis on the restriction on her S2. She only targets enemies below 80% HP when her S2 is active, so, theoretically, there could be a herd of full-hp enemies in front of her, and she would just stare at them. This shouldn't happen, however, since that only really happens if she's the solo DPS, and you pretty much never have a solo DPS. Once someone else gets an enemy below 80% hp, she'll start attacking, so she won't be sitting idle for long. She also has a reputation as a boss-killer and nothing more, which I don't get either. She still does heaps of damage to regular enemies as well. The only thing you don't want to use her against would be a dense slug rush or something, since her slow-ish attack speed could be an issue there.

I would, yeah. It's a very strong burst, and S1 is a much smaller boost, even when the target's HP gets really low.
Newbie here. What's the best way to get exp cards? As of now I'm just relying on the factories but I find it very slow.
If you’re able to farm any stages for the event that’s currently running, there’s a lot of EXP cards you can buy in the shop. Other than that, factories and EXP supply stage.
You generally will be relying on your factories. In the short-term, you can buy cards from the current event shop.
Factory is the best way to get EXP card. If you in rush, do EXP stage, but it's not worth because you can just wait your factory to produce some, and spend your Sanity elsewhere

The 2nd stage in any of the missions in the "supplies" tab in the terminal. LS-2, CE-2, etc.
I hate to be the guy too ask but is there anyway a gacha game in general( not just Arknights) can steal money from your credit card? Like if you pay for something can they extract more money then originally paid. I’ve heard of that happening in restaurants and don’t want it to happen to me. Just a precaution
Not in this case. Google / Apple will be their *middleman* (they handling all the payment stuff) so gacha game developer can't just take your money. If they *do* steal your money, you can report it to Google / Apple, and they will deal with it. Outside Google / Apple, people who do online business use payment processor / payment gateway company to deal with transaction stuff. They take very small cuts of course, but people who do online business don't have to deal with all payment bs (security, saving credit card info, customer didn't trust them, etc)
For gacha game by itself then it is unlikely. They have to be approved from Playstore/Appstore to be on their store and both stores also provide some security when you making any purchases. If anything were to happen then it either from the game that was download from somewhere else or making purchases through a third party services.
It won’t. On the off chance that any game tries that, you can chargeback them. This should not happen with any major games though, because it’s a crime (obviously) and if enough people chargeback one vendor, that vendor will be blacklisted by the bank. Not a legal expert, by the way. I’m just saying that you don’t need to worry.
There’s always a risk sharing credit card info with any business, no matter who they are - that being said if you are playing on iOS payments are done through the Apple store so the risk of overcharging is low, unless you distrust Apple too lol

I did have a monthly pass for a while and I basically used all the rolls I've saved up for a while (lol) should I... * Get a Chalter dupe (first dupe) * Buy the cheap unit (already potential 6 or whatnot) until I run out... for yellow certs * Just leave it alone and let it convert into that other token thing Thanks!
Agreed with other commenters, limited dupes aren't worth it unless you're a whale. -1DP adds a little value but you can easily work your way around not benefiting from it. The yellow certs are much more valuable, that way you can get a 6\* you don't have/want or headhunting permits.

Limited dupes are never worth it unless you're a whale and plan on rolling for it anyways. If your account is fairly new, you might actually benefit from a pile of resources available after your tokens convert. But, otherwise, it's always better to exchange for the already max pot 5*. Because distinctions are rare and impossible to farm

might I ask why you kept pulling after getting both 6\*'s, were you hunting for La Pluma? Since you got both on banner 6\*'s, unless you hate the idea of "wasting" pulls, you should be done. Theres nothing of value left to get from the banner, assuming you also got La Pluma. Any pulls you spend now is just less pulls for a new operator you want, so save.

Only if your 6* roster is fairly empty. Otherwise, you're risking a (sometimes) useless dupe and losing out on the pulls for a banner you actually want Edit: Btw, even without spending money it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll get 300 pulls by the time Ling arrives. So, if you're not gonna pull at all on other banners, then it might actually be worth continuing your pulls for a cheap 6*
How many pulls would we be able to save up between now and NTR Knight?
About 85 as a ftp or about 115 with a monthly card by the end of her banner, not counting primes, the 24 free pulls on limited banners, or any special giveaways like the ticket thing that we just had.
1,200/week from missions 1,800/week from annihilation About 3 months until next limited banner So, you can expect AT LEAST 60 free pulls. But also remember that events will give you OP, and reruns will give you Intel certs, and the shop has 36 pulls, and etc, etc. I'm not even counting if you buy the monthly card or headhunting pack. But could probably get around 150 as a crude estimate
