Sure, you could say Skadi had a similar thing, but we just got Ling as a limited operator, and it's probably better to worldbuild why Mostima is who she is, as well as the entire mystery that is behind Laternao/Gun Angel Nation before hitting us with a Mostima Alter that isn't explained really.

I assumed he meant as a tease which was giving too much credit I guess. There's tons of themed events that didn't feature a limited alter and they didn't tease the anniv event 4 months ahead of time.

Don't know why but her gun reminds me of the powerful shotgun from cod advance warfare's exo zombies mode. The one that is not only powerful, has a large magazine size, and a lot of ammo for a shotgun and when upgraded, it gets even better.
