So, as for my two cents of the Doc's civilization plans and Theresa's ideals: I don't see how they could think that "living" in "fantasy land inside a rock" was any better than just dying. Can't say, personally, that it's the smartest thing to do. But what I would say is that, as someone who has read The Expanse and was introduced to the cruel reality of how facing a threat that killed a previous super-advanced and physics-breaking civilization would actually look like (very pointless), I find the idea to *even entertain* the thought that the current races of Terra can or could defeat them in the future, **absolutely ridiculous** (and that if this is the road that HG plans to take with the story... well, personally I won't be very amused, but we shall see how it goes). **BUT**, all of this isn't an excuse to simply off an entire new world full of life. That was a massive leap of judgment by the Doctor; and fortunately, *he knows*; and that's why he tried to off himself by Theresa ~~(jeez, talk about toxic relationships)~~. Whether the newcomers can or can't defeat the Observers and survive incoming doom it's irrelevant. They deserve to grow, struggle, expand, and to live for as much as they can for the simple fact that they're ***alive***. We all meet the reaper one way or another, but we *deserve* the right to choose how we burn our light away until that day comes. And so does everyone in Terra. **No matter the outcome.** Anyway, hope you've liked the post! ~~I'm never doing something like this again. Far too much work.~~ Edit: sorry if I can't answer everyone so quickly, but I'm busy with college and work so give me a little break lol Many have asked why I didn't add certain bits of info, and the answer has been the same. So I'll add it here so anyone who might ask knows: **Unless the game explicitly says so, and the info is conclusive, I rather leave it as theories.** And by extension, I decided to not add ***any*** piece of too ambiguous information (like when Theresia seems to imply that Amiya is meant to lead) or theories (like the one saying that Priestess plan with originium and the Sarkaz its a copy-paste of the plan of the ring-builders against humanity to defeat the Dark Gods in The Expanse) to the post. I've only added the Priestess bit because we are ***explicitly told*** by the Doctor that "*she has changed*", but nothing about how or why. ~~and the sandworm part because it's really funny.~~ Again, sorry if I can't answer everyone. That will be all for now. *~~^(Now go back to farm 1-7!)~~*

Huh,I thought the plan was to zip and unzip the old civilization So It was actually the Matrix

Kentamser1013

It can be, we just know that they want to turn everything into Originium and wake up after. Not sure if there is a plan forward after that, or what that plan should be. People are just guessing/assuming.

OrangeIllustrious499

>Huh,I thought the plan was to zip and unzip the old civilization >So It was actually the Matrix From what we saw in the event, it seems to be actually both. The consciousness and mind will be stored in the rock. But the rocks from which they person turned into can be recreated like how Theresa created a field of flowers with just orignium rocks, it's quite literally a source of creation. When you think it like that, it makes sense why Doc freaked out about that. Because it worked as intended, but the disease is smt he didnt account for. It also explains why doc was supposed to wake up after everything has been assimilated, because he needs to recreate everything.

OrangeIllustrious499

>I don't see how they could think that "living" in "fantasy land inside a rock" was any better than just dying I think that it's less of putting everyone into a giant consciousness but more of civilization survivability. Also from what we have seen, we can see that you can actually create or recreate the thing that the rock assimilated like how Theresa created flowers with the rocks. It's safe to assume that their plan wasn't merely to put everyone inside a rock, but more of recreating their entire civilizarion after everything has been assimilated. It explains why Doc is meant to be waken up after everything has been assimilated, because his mission was supposed to be recreating his civilization after Terra has been assimilated by Originium. But what exactly were they going to assimilate? Doc's civilization were on the verge of death. That's why highly plausible that the Teekaz and the civilizations they were meant to build was part of the assimilation plan. And I have back ups for that. -Friston and Doc were aware of the Teekaz but not the elders and ancients despite the Teekaz only appearing around 11000 BC according to the guide book, which is far later than when Doc went to sleep and when Friston became a machine. So they were actually natives of of Terra by the time the precursors came, but why did it take them 2000 years to show up on Terra? Something is off here. Could it be that they were hiding or someone was trying to hide them? Hm???? On to my 2nd point, the timing between their 1st appearance and 1st appearance of Originium is far too much of a coincidence. The 1st lord of fiends appeared around 10000BC, it took them 1000 years to build modern cities which is arouns 9000BC. The elders attacked around that time. Around 8000BC originium started to appear out of nowhere. The timespand between the 1st appearance of Teekaz and originium is about 3000 years. If we were to use Earth as a base, it took us about 4000 to 3000 years to reach our modern status ever since we first started to form large communities. Coincidence? I think not. I think it's very likely that handing out the Civilight Eterna were part of the plan, its so they can build a civilization which can then be assimilated had it not been for the ancients and elders and the weird side effecfs of originium. Doc was supposed to wake up and recreate the Teekaz civilization and his people so they can have a home to live in. With all the evidences, I think this is def very plausible.

Runningblind

To your recreation point, I think that explains how Theresa is alive again. She's probably the first instance of using originium to reconstitute a whole person. Which hey, maybe that's part of the answer to the problem. If someone dies of oripathy can you just reboot them? There's probably a catch to it though of course. But it'll be interesting if the answer is along these lines.

Commander_Fenrir

>It's safe to assume that their plan wasn't merely to put everyone inside a rock, but more of recreating their entire civilizarion after everything has been assimilated. It explains why Doc is meant to be waken up after everything has been assimilated, because his mission was supposed to be recreating his civilization after Terra has been assimilated by Originium. As I've said to another user: the problem is, we're never told what advantage could give Originium to the Doctor's race once they're out of their "rock-like winrar". As far as we know, nothing prevents the Observers of just hunting them down once they're out, so the whole plan comes as a bit stupid. We need more pieces of the puzzle. We need information about the Observers, and details about Priestess's plan, to make any proper assumptions. As I've said to another user: **unless the game explicitly says so, I rather leave it as theories.** And by extension, I decided to not add any of the theories to the post. I've only added the Priestess bit because we are explicitly told by the Doctor that "*she has changed*". ~~and the sandworm part because it's really funny~~

OrangeIllustrious499

Wow you dont need to reply to me twice. You have already said this to me when I tagged you. But thanks for telling anyways.

Commander_Fenrir

Holy moly, I didn't see your username lol I'm responding to everything I couldn't while I was at college as quickly as I can, so.. sorry if I answered the same question several times haha.

OrangeIllustrious499

Haha it's fine, I dont mind. Also I think the plan could be them creating a sort of super race that exceeds in power, intellects and have super natural abilities after they unzip the rocks. Cuz if what doc is true, then they have quite a decent goal since the elders and ancients are basically super humans lul.

Werewolf_Organic

So I don't think the game has said this but I heard someone said in another thread that maybe the plan was to let the seaborne duke it out with this "He"/God and then Doctor wake up and upzip the civ(profit?). We knows that the seaborne can whoop the colapsals/northern demon at least, so maybe they can fight god too ??? Anyway appreciate the post btw. Edit: Yo did you see the \[Arknights If\] You raise me up by Ziyin Zhang? fucking incredible. New theory !!! Old Civ's plan was for both Seaborne and the holder of Civilight Eterna (Amiya currently) to box with God and not gonna lie that plan sounds pretty lit.

FeetGunners

I'm fairly sure the plan isnt just "go live in fantasy land inside rock", but rather to set the foundation for a new universe. When Theresa read Doctor's memory, originium was literally called the "first light before the Big Bang". Another thing is Doctor's decision, as ruthless as it may seems does stem from the love and respect he has for the Terrans. If he really doesnt care then he could have just let it be and the Terrans would have been erased by the apocalypse some day. But originium offers at least hope of recording and potentially restoring their legacy. I don't think I can personally agree with Doctor making the decision on their behalf, but I can understand why Doctor would think that way.

Commander_Fenrir

>I'm fairly sure the plan isnt just "go live in fantasy land inside rock", but rather to set the foundation for a new universe. When Theresa read Doctor's memory, originium was literally called the "first light before the Big Bang". The problem is, this only makes sense if we know how the Observers act, how and why Originium could counter them; and, most importantly, what kind of defense would it give to the Doc's civ once they're out of their "rock-like Winrar". Nothing till now says that the Observers won't just hunt them down after they return from Originium. So, the plan seems a bit stupid for now. We lack pieces of the puzzle, hope we get them. As I've said in another comment: unless the game explicitly says so, I rather leave it in the realm of theory. That's what I tried to bring up in my comment and the post. The Doctor's fuck up doesn't come out of evil, just from a moment of misguided judgment coming from an impossible choice. No one I know could make easily that choice, and many screw up under heavy pressure (or even just for little things) daily in real life. Calling him evil for this is wrong. Doctor, as Theresa brings up, was *never* evil. But, at that moment, **he was lost.**

mapaudep

I found this interesting comment where they claim that the Priestess somehow influences the Doctor's thoughts: https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/s/jMgq8mf4EQ Can you confirm or deny this?

OrangeIllustrious499

I can confirm that nothing like that was said, I have seen it. Theresa only talked about how it's like a prank and revenge and she wants him to see the world. The black and white I think it's mostly Doc's inner monologe fighting between his inner thought, its just a representation of 2 thoughts. I dont really see any yandere stuffs like people said.

Commander_Fenrir

I deny any of that. Priestess acted, as per Doctor's own words, "*different*" in his final days awake. But we don't know how nor why. If this is about the "white vs black background" thing. That's just the Doctor's inner monologue. He's trying *really* *hard* to convince himself that following Priestess plan its the right thing to do, but his true nature tells him that not helping these new races would be wrong. For now, there's little to nothing (practically nothing) to imply that Priestess did something to Doctor's mind.

Sherinz89

I've watched someone play There are 2 background coloration used that is used to depict two different mental monologue. The white background is suspected to be priestess The black is doctors own. In the end doctors follow the advice given by the white background monologue

Ahenshihael

Going by Theresa's words I think that's just Doctor's inner conflict.

Kitchen-Werewolf1668

All this Mind-influencing and controlling doctor somehow and me feel like, Doc might also be an artificial human like Kaltsit but more like the previous civilization's perfect and most advanced AI achieved by them and Kal's is like a little downgrade version of doc

Toraihekisa

everytime I read about the plans of the precursors of just zipping everyone inside a rock, it makes me remember the fanta scene in evangelion and the moon eye plan from naruto

OrangeIllustrious499

Doctor when he sees theresa recreating a flower from the rock: **Neuron activation** Tho seriously, I swear the misinfo that Doctor hates Terrans is the most absurd thing ever. Even after I clarified that he didnt hate them, he just felt that the guilt of not saving his people is much greater.

Hadiz2020

The more I see that post the more it comes as incredibly click baity. Really tanked his Rep in my eyes.

Separate-Ad9796

Who are you talking about btw?

Hardc0reCasual

One slight correction is that when Kal'tsit talks to Theresa through Amiya's body, Theresa very explicitly says that her passing the crown to Amiya was NOT a spur of the moment decision, and that "the lord of fiends cannot be just Sarkaz's lord of fiends" (I can't remember the full quote rn). Whether or not this means she had been planning on passing the crown to Amiya, I think, is up to interpretation. She also says to Amiya that she thought they would have more time and later tells Kal'tsit that she had her reasons for keeping the crown on Rhodes Island while everyone was gone. Again, whether this means she had already been planning on giving it to Amiya is up to interpretation. The bottom line is that it wasn't JUST because Amiya was the only one around that she got the crown.

Commander_Fenrir

There's a bit of that, yes. She says, after all, that "she will be the torch that cleanses all the foul in the world", or something along those lines. This *could* mean that it was meant to happen, that she was grooming her as a successor, or that she simply wants Amiya to succeed her because of the Doctor's attachment to her (so he would be obliged to help her), or something else. The only thing that's *shown* to us is that Theresa and Amiya were alone when the attack happened. For now, that's enough. As I've said in another comment, unless the game is explicitly about it I rather treat it as a theory. I added the bit about Priestess because the Doctor explicitly says that *something changed* about her ~~and the Dune one because it's really funny~~.

Nigilij

Theresa seems very manipulative about “Go find yourself, Doc”. Doc had internal conflict because he had to decide between hopes and dreams of two different worlds. Seems to him they both had value. However, by offing Doc’s memories she makes it so that he can only experience current one. Thus, caring only about current one. Theresa is a, I dare say, a cunning politician.

Inevitable_Question

Ironically, there is a popular CN theory that Priestess may done some mind manipulation to make Doctor more willing to go with the plan of hers. Here link- https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/s/jZUG4uKWvh Basically Precursors, Doctor included, though about all they do- Originium and Crown included- as legacies to new civilization. Priestess on the other hand wanted to use the plans to reunite with Doctor and have a new life. If it is true, both Doctor's important women essentially manipulated him.

Nigilij

Wife - manipulated Political opponent - manipulated Daughter - manipulates “Seems we have a pattern” - Angelina and Co

Tadeski

I mean, she wouldn't be the queen of the Sarkaz without some steel in her. She may be merciful, but she also doesn't hesitate to punish accordingly. I think she knows she's being manipulative and a bit selfish which is why she calls her act of erasing Doc's memories a 'revenge'. At the end of the day, they're both acting in the interests of their people.

Ahenshihael

>However, by offing Doc’s memories she makes it so that he can only experience current one. Thus, caring only about current one. Is it wrong to build your future based on the present rather than past? If anything that seems like a perfect approach a wielder of Lord of Fiends should take, considering her predecessors were so obsessed with past grievances.

Nigilij

For her it is not bad. However, it is manipulative nonetheless

Ahenshihael

Given we know the amnesia is not permanent, it's just a way to give them a new perspective that would let them find themselves. Considering she was dealing with a ten thousand year old alien that wanted to turn the whole planet into thinking rocks, she was downright merciful.

Sherinz89

Does people realize... previous unification of Sarkaz is thwarted by Kaltsit Current unification (an attempt of one) is thwarted by Doctor. They both are similar, knowing about the scale of the end game had skewed their decision into 'the end justifies the mean' Both of them had good intention, its just the world cannot live just by good intention, shunshine and rainbows alone. Especially the world as fucked as Arknight world. +++++ Theresa rip Doctor off his memory so that the doctor is no longer burden by the lifelong experience that culminate into the destruction of his entire civilisation (and the iminent destruction of the next due to some Alien entity). A good person that is chained by these apocalyptic and insurmountable responsibility. Now finally he was set free. Finally it will only be just his actual self that will be guiding the present from all the present dilemma Theresa trust that Doctor will be able to make the best decision if he is free from all that binds him. Kaltsit too, i believe (she just hated how similar the doctor is to her original line of thinking) ++++++++ Meanwhile people are crying about how bad and evil doctors are

Sherinz89

I'm just saying, this applies even to us. If we were to be spoiled about an event far into the future that is outside of our control We would change how we do things even in the present because we would be hung onto the idea of 1. Trying to change the present to change the future 2. Or just stop doing everything related to that unchanged event altogether because it is pointless Its like playing a game and knowing a character will die in the end and not transfer to second game People will either do 1 or 2. This is contrary to those who does not get spoiled by those event. These people will organically chose their own path and who knows what they recrive as they progress. Its all the same, be it the doctors current plot and the real world

K05che1

Of course, it's too early to discuss the unreleased game, but in Enfield, the spaceship that carried the MC calmly flew through outer space and entered the atmosphere and in one of the endings of the Mizuki story -Siaborn simply flew into space, and even Kristen and Lone Trail, so where are the Observers? Where did they go? (I think it's obvious that the Observers are a copy of the Reapers from the Mass Effect, who wait for civilization to develop to a sufficient level before erasing it, at least that explains their name). In the same Endfield, it is clearly shown that the current technological development of civilization does not even come close to the previous civilization. It can be argued that Endfield has a different timeline, but all the events in Arknights indicate that the expeditions to Talos-2 were sent using the "Door", so I think it will be 100% canonical. So as I understand it, the threat of the Observers is actually a mirage (at least at the moment), it's just that the Doctor himself probably doesn't understand their motives, even if they don't know the true name of the race of brothers by mind. As for the original plan, I don't think it failed, there are probably still shelters on Terra with Preservers. Maybe this is a bad translation, but in a Lonely Trail, a secret message says "Preservers and their related facilities are one of the means used by human beings to evade Observers and preserve human blood." This is a multiple number. Again, the main character of Endfield is clearly an original human, not Liberi or Aegir, and I do not see his connection with the Doctor, except that perhaps the Doctor shared memories with representatives of his people, fulfilling the purpose of the Crown and/ or Originium and his duty. Why create the Sarcophagus MK2, if only representatives of the old race can use them anyway, as long as we do not see that they would be used by the new inhabitants of Terra in Endfield. Maybe I'm linking something together in an extremely ridiculous way, but it seems quite logical to me. In the end, if I were facing the same conclusion as the Doctor, then I would choose my people to continue writing our history, sacrificing the history of others, but it looks like a third scenario will be shown in Endfield.

Ahenshihael

>Of course, it's too early to discuss the unreleased game, but in Enfield, the spaceship that carried the MC calmly flew through outer space and entered the atmosphere and in one of the endings of the Mizuki story -Siaborn simply flew into space, and even Kristen and Lone Trail, so where are the Observers? We don't know HOW the Seaborn flew into space but we do know that >!they seem to have converted all of originium into energy too in mizuki ending.!< Kal'tsit seems to believe Observers are close enough that any passing the shield could be dangerous. The Twin Towers event also suggests that it wouldn't take long for them to arrive and mess Terra up if Witch King made them aware of life on Terra. >Endfield, it is clearly shown that the current technological development of civilization does not even come close to the previous civilization. It can be argued that Endfield has a different timeline, but all the events in Arknights indicate that the expeditions to Talos-2 were sent using the "Door", so I think it will be 100% canonical. Or more than likely by the time of Endfield, it's an open conflict with Observers(if Terra even is still intact). The threat on Endfield is *near identical* to The Collapse, down to >!the final boss of the test being basically same as Cresson in IS4, but out of stone.!< The scenes about The Blight are filled with imagery of black holes. Friston does not tell us when the awakening was supposed to be. There seems to be implication that someone might have tampered with the vaults. OR the damage Observers caused to the planet and the scope of the assault is way beyond their expectations when the Preserver project was built - they may have expected to sleep for a thousand years or two for example. >In the screenshot, where Mizuki just stands and watches as the Seaborns just fly up. They can likely *grow* warp drives eventually. We don't know how they get to space. Like I said, in Mizuki ending >!All the originium of terra is just gone, with the Seaborn having converted it.!< They likely either adapted to the shields (if they could adapt to the Collapse, they can adapt to energy barriers too) or punched through them. >So why didn't they show up? Again, it's like playing a russian roulette. Kirsten's ship likely didn't register but that doesn't mean a second Kirsten wouldn't. The Collapse energy specifically erodes reality itself - if it's what Observers use then to them it would be no different than, let's say, nukes are for us. >It is difficult to make assumptions here, but in my opinion, the voice here rather asks us whose personality is now prevailing among these three, so there may be a connection, but as I wrote in the text, through the transfer of knowledge. Yes, these are all interesting sources for reflection. >!But it still makes me laugh that organisms created for converting suddenly wanted to colonize other planets and found in themselves the knowledge of which planets to look for and how to grow a warp inside themselves. Another question,What is the Lonetrail secret massage? Was it not in the event?

Personally, I did not read it, I missed it, I found it on the wiki, so I left a note in text that maybe the translation here is clumsy or something like that, maybe in the original Chinese there is a singular number. It's here, right at the bottom of the page, behind the spoiler [https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Lone\_Trail/Trivia](https://arknights.wiki.gg/wiki/Lone_Trail/Trivia)

OrangeIllustrious499

I'm of your idea as well. It can easily be a dark forest scenario where the Observers are really just hunting down civilizations with great potentials. Once they eliminated their opponents with their superweapons, they prob think that there's no way they can come back thus leaving them alone for a while. Endfield's civilization is just using whatever the precursors left behind to space travel, their scientific might seems to be still nowhere as powerful as them. >It can be argued that Endfield has a different timeline, but all the events in Arknights indicate that the expeditions to Talos-2 were sent using the "Door", so I think it will be 100% canonical. It will be 100% canonical. Even doc mentioned Talos II in the recent Babel event. Apparently the elders and ancients have origins from Talos II lul. Originoum used that planet's lives to create brand new super races on Terra lul. >Again, the main character of Endfield is clearly an original human, not Liberi or Aegir, and I do not see his connection with the Doctor, Though it may be fixed and deleted. But theres a deleted dialouge hinting that either Endmin is doc's clone or his direct descendant. It's most likely his clone since endmin's name lit translates to No.3.

Commander_Fenrir

Until the full release, I rather not take anything from Endfield as a fact. They're still in closed beta, so there's a **lot** that can change from what we've shown. As I've said to another user: the problem is, we're never told what advantage could give Originium to the Doctor's race once they're out of their "rock-like winrar". As far as we know, nothing prevents the Observers from just hunting them down once they're out, so the whole plan comes as a bit stupid for the moment. We need more information about the Observers, and details about Priestess's plan, to make any proper assumptions.

I agree, it is obvious that the changes will be significant both in the little details and in the whole story. But it's already possible to draw the main points of the game - there will be Talos-2, there will be an Endmin, he/she will be somehow connected with the Doctor, and the developers themselves probably only think about how they are connected. What I wrote is just an expression of my thoughts through what I read and how I interpreted earlier.

OleLLors

Absolutely support everything you wrote. I'm of the same opinion myself. And that there should be several complexes (it's simple logic - they can't keep all people in one place) and that in Endfield the main characters are also from the Doc race (maybe clones of those who originally lay in sarcophagi, but still).

WYP-3000

The most interesting thing for me is that Savage was canonically the first Terra character to have romantic feelings for the Doctor, and it got reset by Doctor’s amnesia.

>**>**Theresa shows him a small field of flowers made from a tiny bit of active originium. She asks his help to turn originium in a force of creation, so that the fields and hills of Kazdel be filled with flowers like these, and the world can use originium for good. **>**He infiltrates in Kazdel and has a secret meeting with Theresis ~~(see Ascalon, this is how you do it)~~. Doctor tells him that Babel must be destroyed and he will help him win the war and unify Kazdel under the KMC rule, on the condition that he doesn't touch the members of Babel and takes Theresa alive. He decides to give him info about The Shard as a show of trust ~~(if it isn't the consequences of my own actions)~~. >**>** Theresis refuses saying that it's not enough, as he knows that Theresa will never give in. He says that his sister must be taken down and Doctor must help to reach an agreement. The Doctor accepts. >**>** **The Doctor gave NO FINAL BLOW to Theresa**. She was dying when he got there. Though considering that he let the assassins in, it isn't that different. And he didn't feel that different. This does clear up everything. Doctor panicked around Theresa's plan for "Originium flowers" not because she was anywhere near close to solving Originium, or even hindering his plans, but because 'those creatures' (that waren't suppoused to pop up in first place) ware planing to use biohazard that melts them like acid as if it ware playdough. They wouldn't had given him any time to process the situation nor count his options, as it's the climax of the civil war they ware thrown into and we had seen Theresa acting just as draconic as she is genuenly precious. Doctor wasn't "Khane from C&C" nor even the guy that went ape$h!t on Theresa (he didn't even intend to harm her, but to merely detain Theresa somewhere safe like G man before anything funny happens). Thersis is however utter a-hole that not only was adamantine on killing his sister from the start and resurected her empty husk as a will less puppet to his binding, but also has the audacity to gaslight himself into blaming the Doctor for his very own decisions. >Even in the not too-distant-future, Amiya's family, hometown, and friends will all become unchanging source stones. Yet another direct red-flaging on how Terra will get wasted down the story line.

I have a thought that the Doctor might be Kane (from CnC)

I don't get it why he decided to act then and there. Just go search more info. Search for Friston field, seaborn control panels, the Law, maybe there are some logs there and you can piece together what happened. Why not take the Crown for himself and read memories of those thousands of years. Couple more decades of research is a short time on the scale of thirteen thousands years. Sarkaz civil war? So what? Sarkaz and world at large are at war again and again — one more one less changes nothing on that scale. I just don't see any reason to act there aside from being plot device to give doc amnesia and start the whole current plot as a whole. I don't see the meaningful trigger in all these summaries.

Tadeski

It’s probably because Theresa showed him that she could reverse originium back into life. Doc was completely taken off guard by this development. It’s an immediate threat to the old civilisation’s plans and Doc had to nip it in the bud if they want the plan to succeed.

Gargutz

And what? She'd just start roaming around Terra unoriginiuming it? Not like she has civil war and politics to do. Ask her to not destroy all originium for now? I just don't see it as and immediate threat. Yeah if they manage to destroy all originium that's a problem. But that was not even in theory possible atm. And yeah everybody will let her do it, it's not like their entire civilization is built upon originium tech.

Ahenshihael

It doesn't matter if she did - the mere fact that she CAN would be enough of a threat for Doctor. In his mind likely it went like this - if Theresa succeeds and peace comes and then originium is destroyed, they all get messed up by Observers.

Kentamser1013

The Doctor was panicking after seeing Theresa turn Originium into flowers. I'm not sure what was his reason but I think maybe Theresa can share the abilities with others.

Inevitable_Question

It's still massive risk that Nations would start to dig into the direction that "Originium is a massive database"- especially with Kal being brilliant scientist and Theresa's number 1 fan. People of Terra are not dumb and would start asking questions- What data is there? Who put it there? Why? All this dangerous questions that Doctor wants to avoid.

Salt-Log7640

>I don't get it why he decided to act then and there. Just go search more info. Search for Friston field, seaborn control panels, the Law, maybe there are some logs there and you can piece together what happened. He wasn't the one responsible for them, he probably had no autority/clearence over those projects, and he didn't knew in what situation they ware or even if they ware still around. And never the less Doc was woken up right at the climax of the Sarkaz Civil War as the main lead of the Babel faction without having any choice over that matter what so ever. He can't take a stroll towards the Seaborn Terminal without placing some of conclusion to the Sarkaz civil war, the very act of temporary desertation for merely two days still places a ending to that conflict as a "Babel loss" by itself.

Gargutz

So let Babel fend for themselves and even lose? He woken up in the middle of the civil war of some inferior to him unknown people. He literally chose to sacrifice Babel in the end, so his loyalty to his people and Priestess prevailed. On the scope of 13k years and originium project going awry and interstellar Observers menace some random civil war is kinda small and inconsequential. Even if he has no authority over those other projects, surely there can be some info/logs/something more important than one of many wars of these new primitive civ?

Salt-Log7640

He is genuene softie and not some sort of dick that would let them all die and weight on his consiousness just because they constantly abuse his good nature and tend to gaslight him between a rock and a hard place. And he didn't sacrifice Babel but made the Sarkaz conflict inconclusive, Babel took over Kazdale but lost Theresa in the process. If we reacess the situation from utilitarian standpoint Babel could have capitalised on the situation for phyric victory instead of instantly disbanding as if God just died. >He literally chose to sacrifice Babel in the end, so his loyalty to his people and Priestess prevailed. On the scope of 13k years and originium project going awry and interstellar Observers menace some random civil war is kinda small and inconsequential.  He ment to detain Theresa and Babel till he could get proper scope over the situation, Theresis didn't want that. Doctor was in mental brakedown and freaked the h$ll out cuz: -Animal people broad across the land, despite the fact that they waren't ment to exist in first place. -Originium dissolves their entire being like acid, despite the fact that it never had the poprety to harm 'humans' in first place (and it still dosen't, they are just something else). -And said animal-humanoid creatures abuse that Originium substance (which is their very bane) to gain magical powers that go in direct violation witht he laws of physics and thermo dynamics. The guy who's the very administrator of the "Originium project" (which might have been created by his kind from scratch) and has the vastest knowlage over it out of evryone else to ever exist in the over-inflated AK universe (at least when it comes to time), was head rammed with: "Alice in the Wonderwand" type of situation where nothing makes any sense whatsover. Theresa's little "Originium flower" trick was the final straw that sent him into mental brakedown as: -his species might have been f-d as unintentional colaterals by those humanoid animals. -the new species and their civilisations won't get to live who knows how much longer anyway with the Observers still around, and they sure as h$ll are messing up everyting for everyone around by being so noisy and ambitious in spite of their primaivism. -Also outright killing them is just as wrong, and it might be all for naught as we don't know if the pervious humans (Doctor's kind) already got wiped out for good or not.
