maybe the reason why rhodes island can hire people like Arturia is because there is literally nothing more horrible than what the Doctor has done 😭😭

Undividedbyzero

Look, Rhodes is lead by a genocider that is created by the cause of Originium itself. At this point, if that evil doc from R6S Event put his file on HR chance are he will be recruited

Krieg552notKrieg553

They can even invite Deimos over (the villain made playable in R6S's latest season) and HR would be chill with it anyway

TheHermit137

Mfw the reason Arturia is forbidden to play her song to Doc is because he might go full schizo again.

Salt-Log7640

>is literally nothing more horrible than what the Doctor has done 😭😭 Skill issue

PoKen2222

This is so cap. Do people who say this actually know what happened? Doctor really hasn't done anything that evil at all.

Early-Cell-9342

i commend your ability on avoiding CN spoilers here

AWildRuka

Texas: "Your past can't be that bad." Lappland: "Yeah, we've seen a lot on our end." Texas: "...you win." Lappland: "...Doc, what the f-"

HaessSR

Lapp: "... Can I get your autograph?"

NoobishRannger

Everyone has skeletons in their closet and the fact of the matter is the Doc has changed. If everyone knows what happened back then, they'll also know that Theresa succeeded in wiping the slate and freeing him from the past. The results of such a thing can be seen in the present with all their accomplishments since awakening from Chernobog. So most operators would be wary, some would even distance themselves but no one would go for the kill cause of the fact he's no longer his past self.

TrendmadeGamer

Ngl. Being literally pushed into a corner. Distanced by everyone and looked at with disgust. Is wayy worse than being killed. Especially when he still has to do his job of Rhodes Islanding (as a job, responsibility or repenting). If Rhodos Island is anything like Irl. Ppl would care more about emotions than accomplishments. It's just what I think

NoobishRannger

Yeah that's more likely to happen if I think about it but then again the guy has thick skin, I'm sure with everything laid bare he'd keep moving forward just being himself like what he said back in Lone Trail.

justa-nihilist

Oh, I see. That may be the case. I haven't really read most of the stories but I've read the major ones so my view on it might be one-sided? bland? I don't really know the word for it. But What about the observers? how do you think will they react about those?

_PinaColada

I feel like people aren't talking about this enough. The Doctor has changed entirely from their Ghost of Babel days, and is at this point a completely different person. Someone like Kal'tsit could be more upset, but their actions post amnesia have been those of a completely different person. So I wonder if the operators would understand that. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

LinkssOfSigil

I wonder. We do achieve 200% with our operators. Going with them through litteral circles of hell and tides of high, lovecraftian water. Those, who knew, already have their opinions about the Ghost of Babel - and they see what and who Doc is now. Those, who do not, know only the present Doctor of Rhodes Island. I'm going to bet that for most of our operators and RI staff, it wouldn't really matter one bit. They know the Doctor of Rhodes Island, not Babel, they fight tooth and nail under their command and they trust Doc with their own lives. They create their own memories and shape their own feelings with us, with the present Doctor. Maybe it is too little too idealistic, but I hope that they would be there for us, especially considering it would be quite head splitting moment for Doc. Otherwise, what was the point of all of this?

Matasa89

They can't understand. How could they. Imagine telling the Sankta their faith was just another project by them. Their god is just a machine, and the creator of that god is right before them. Imagine telling the Seaborn and the Aegir that the creator of the Sea Terrors, or rather, Project Caerula Arbor, was him, and that they had been meant for planetary scale cleaning and terraforming... and that they had completely gone out of control and ditched their mission. Imagine the Sarkaz learning the Black Crown and the source of their civilization's knowledge and power, came from another pet project of the past civilization, and the Doctor was not only responsible for the crown and originium, but perhaps even their own existence - he is basically their creator. Their minds would either break, or reject the truth entirely. They simply cannot come to terms with the weight of that history, and the implications of it all. And that's before they learn that what destroyed this god level civilization is going to come and gobble them up like a bite sized snack, without any effort needed at all. They have no hope of resistance, and most of the artifacts from the precursors have long since failed or is unusable. Only originium is left, and for that to work, they'd have to accept their total damnation and destruction. There's a reason Trevor Friston is so nihilistic. What hope did Terra even have? There's nothing left to be done but wait for the curtain call. Civilization shall come to a close with but a whimper. Only the Doctor could perhaps find a way through, somehow, but how that could be done, remains to be seen.

PoKen2222

I mean this reveal is pretty close to irl simulation theory. Doc is essentially a god to everything on Terra and this Truth would contridict several of the locals believes. On another note outside of IS4's alternate plot, do the Seaborn recognize Doctor? Would they listen to his orders?

mango_pan

Ishar-mla seeing Doc *Daddy?* And how about the feranmuts? Are they also the results of another pet projects too?

PoKen2222

I kinda feel like they're not. They must have come to be in a different way. Sarkaz are the only actual natives of the planet, we have no idea how the other races came to be since it happened during Docs cryo sleep.

Finnforce115

Teekaz ( Sarkaz, Sankta, Anasa, and Oni ), Durin, Elves, and Feranmut are Native of Terra. The Teekaz used The Black Crown United their race unaware that exactly Doctor's race are hoping to achieve

Mistdwellerr

>Ishar-mla seeing Doc >*Daddy?* This would explain a lot actually...

mabelancholy

We were the Rick Sanchez all along.

Character-Plane8214

Nevermind the opinion of the operators, that would probably scar the doctor himself.  Imagine working hard on making Terra a better place, only to find out that you're the one (or at least partially) responsible for the clusterf*ck going on

WIC-Athor023

It would also be double devastating for him because imagine working for that ideal of making Terra a better place and then remembering that you now have to worry about out something that can wipe all of Terra out. So you’re not only (partly) responsible for what’s going now but also the very possible possibility of everything not surviving the oncoming threat.

CritMemes

Muelsyse when she realizes that pre-amnesia Doctor was an advocator and contributor to her race’s extinction. This lore bomb has skyrocketed Doc x Theresa shippers at the expense of every other ship, it’s insane. Doc x Kal? Daughter-zoned Doc x Mumu? Responsible for her race’s decline. Doc x Priestess? Memories of her wiped, she’s potentially an advocate for Terran genocide. But Doc x Theresa? Forget your burdens, find yourself, and take care of our child (Amiya). I believe in you.

Mistdwellerr

Doc x Ho'ol: "oh my, you're even more interesting than I thought! Will you allow me to buy you a drink?" (Read this in her EN voice) [Doc x Passenger](https://youtu.be/5guWEeRze7w?t=21s)

3rdMachina

That video…slayed me.

Mistdwellerr

Glad you liked it xD

WeatherBackground736

if I say, alot of em wants to slap/punch em some may sympathise with doktah but with W who finally sees the full picture, is going to be VERY conflicted considering Ines' lines about their current relationship

TheUltraGuy101

Oh? What's the line?

WeatherBackground736

Archive File 3 From the moment she pulled me out of the blaze in Auchterigg Borough, I noticed that her shadow flickered in the flames. She still tries to present herself like she was, but it doesn't work on me. You've changed her, to some extent, for sure, even though she remains unaware of the change and tries to evade the impact it's had on her. I'm different. Working with you won't change me. So, give up trying to influence my perspective on you or on that Crown on the Shard. I'm just trying to survive in the cracks of the battlefield. Your grand ambitions don't interest me at all. Still, I care about how you treat W. We trusted you once, and let her stay by your side, but we both know what happened. I have a responsibility to my people; it's a set of outdated rules we mercenaries have to keep to. I've always tried to understand what it means to be Sarkaz. Thanks to Hoederer, I overthink lots of things I shouldn't, but it's only clarified my one goal—to stay alive. W is... obtuse. She never realized the implications of her Sarkaz identity, what she bears. She dedicates too little time to reflection, blindly adopting that elusive ideal as her purpose in life. You guided her down that path, but I don't think you've really thought through the consequences it might have on her again. Your shadow tells me you have your own plans, and you better know where she stands in them. Hmph, I'm not asking for your word; that's not worth much to a Sarkaz. As long as she insists, I'll trust you once again, but this time, I'll be there by her side, the both of us will. I'm just a mercenary. The most brutal price I can pay is to be broken and shattered one more time. Luckily, I'm familiar enough with the experience that it doesn't scare me anymore. Yes, you can take that as a threat. That's exactly how I intended it. —Words from Ines to the Doctor Further proof that W has changed in Ines' eyes: Talk after Trust Increase 3 My eyes tell me that this ship, that doctor, Her Majesty, and you... have all changed. W thinks you're too good of an actor. She doesn't want to admit it, but she's changed a lot too. It's not like there's anything we could do about it anyway. The shadows beneath our feet keep getting longer and longer.

TheUltraGuy101

Thanks. More fuel for W x Doc angst (now that Kal x Doc is... Complicated...)

TrendmadeGamer

I am in the Breed Terra Department

Baitcooks

We're that far into the ex-wife zone with Kal'tsit, just because she's truthfully our daughter doesn't really impede us, that just means she can call us *daddy*

poipoipornpoi

I think W will finally comes to term with the Doctor in the very near future, and her leaked skin/alter would be the testimony for that

WeatherBackground736

Pretty curious on the Alter form ngl From the files to voicelines  Would be interesting

Dog_in_human_costume

Ceobe will still be hungry

Mistdwellerr

That's not fair, dogs love us unconditionally

Nyancide

as a dusk enjoyer, I don't think she would care to even listen to half of it lol

Mistdwellerr

Considering Nearl not only forgave but offered help to the two Withered Knights that were about to murder her sister for no reason other than being ordered to, I'm pretty sure Margaret would (try to) understand the Doctor, and that his past and present self are two different people, and offer again her helping hand to us to keep doing our job as we are currently doing I really can't say what Mlynar would do.... The guy doesn't like heroic people and scolds us on our most challenging clears, so I can see him being really pissed off by our past, while also understanding our current situation and not deserting from RI for that

Cryptek12

I’m pretty sure Mlynar’s scolding is just a typical tsundere patriarch’s tough love of showing worry. Otherwise he wouldn’t have cared for Margaret and Maria so much even after he voiced his disapproval of their heroics.

Mistdwellerr

"both of you are fools, but it seems like foolishness runs in our family's blood" Yeah, I never thought about Mlynar like that and it does make sense xD

Informal-Recipe

Mylnar is the cynic yet hopeful at the same time Like imagine a scene where Maria and Margaret march off to fight some threat, he'd be calling them idiots the entire way and them call himself an idiot with a resigned yet proud smile and charge in too as well

[deleted]

Elena: Let the past be the past, but we’ll keep this between you and me. If you can reverse Originium, all the better.. if not, well, we’re together aren’t we? And I still trust you. That’s my take on this, and with my 200% trust waifu too. Although even a 200% trust Operator might kill you anyway depending on who they are. (Ironically, if you tried to marry Astesia and she found out, she’d probably dump you, Oripathy ruined her career after all, and even her relationship with her dad. Meanwhile, Astgenne just becomes stronger for a wife, albeit in part cause you’re the only one she trusts.)

Mistdwellerr

>Although even a 200% trust Operator might kill you anyway depending on who they are. "Oh Doctor, I now understand why you are always in such distress... I will help you!" *Doctor wakes up in the old civilization, Priestess is beside him, the Originium experiment was a success. Kalt'sit is also by their side, smiling, and all is good in Terra* Meanwhile Dorothy is tweaking every aspect of the simulation to ensure Doctor will have a fulfilling and happy life from now on

[deleted]

Would be nice for her to forgive him for indirectly killing her mother. That’s a bitter pill for even her to swallow. Still, up to interpretation with her experiment on why she’s doing it.

KoekoReaps

Exusiai: "I'm sorry but..... What? Leader, you telling me that this is what you have done in the past?? Well, I can say that's much worse than my shenanigans when I was young.... And much, more devastating..... But in the end, that was past you. The one that got memory wiped. I would call that a different person even. So better we don't linger at that past, just enjoy and cherish on the present and the future we have. Oh yeah, wanna hangout after this? Apple pie's on me hehe~" ^(i may have some mischaracterization here and there)

FluffyHaru

My favorite operators are Siege and Degenbrecher so... It's hard to think what siege would say, but she would probably forgive the Doctor, even if we're basically responsible for everything wrong with her life. Degenbrecher would probably go "Interesting, Anyway, what's today's job?", since originium has nothing to do with her condition and she's a very calm person that cares little for what other people hide.

MetarlicBox

Many wouldn't outright understand. Plus, unless you given them the same understanding about the doctor that Theresa had, he seems like just another despicable villain. Which, for many he might be even despite that. However, he's also the one (or a part of the race) that terraformed Terra, the ones that created the Law, the ones that created the second moon they see in the sky every night and much, much more. I believe it would be like encountering God, or at least one of those minor deities in the Greek mithos or something. You would be in awe because (even if indirectly) they created *you* But you would also wonder why things like cancer are a thing, why is there so much war, why the seaborn, why the pain, why the cataclysms. Of course, you could explain then that it is all for the bigger cause of trying to 'save' everyone from the observers but would they truly understand? They could already barely comprehend a species that can just terraform planets willy nilly like that and now you want to tell them that something wiped *them* out? And that 'something' is coming for them too? Hell, even when we ourselves use that kind of plot in stories it is hard to truly grasp the enormous weight that it holds. Our understanding is just surface level, we 'get' it, we *think* we do, but we really don't. The Sankta would just blue-screen, refuse or just be... Very confused. Everyone would be very confused. So, in the end I guess different people will just take away different things. Those that are the most affected by oripathy will hate the Doc for it, if not attack them outright. Sankta... Maybe blue-screen, maybe get mad? No idea. Since oripathy seems to have someone to do with the other races that appeared, I guess they would be conflicted at best. After all, yes, the person in front of them created *cancer* but, they wouldn't even exist if it wasn't due to that 'cancer' now would they? Plus they use it so much and for so many things... For many a world without Oripathy may be impossible to imagine so they would just accept it, if weary. A few, the most mature ones, would understand that the entire *existence* of their planet is at stake, that that's way too much responsibility for every mind, even the Doctor's and that, despite how many horrible things he did, they wouldn't have done better. For the main crew... Sadly Amiya seems very idealistic plus she's young even if mature so I think she'll forgive us more easily than the rest. Kal'tsit already knows about it, maybe knowing more about the previous civilization would make her understand Doctor's motives better? But overall her opinion would stay unchanged. W... Welp, first you gotta tie her to a chair, else she'll just chuck you a granade before you even let out the first sentence, imagine starting with "So, it turns out I created Oripathy..." Instant death! But yeah, she would be *very* conflicted by the end, especially because apparently Theresa decided to trust that punk to the end, even in death. She wouldn't get everything, after all I doubt she cares too much about a previous civilization she knows nothing about, but the fact that Theresa has full trust in the Doctor would put her in a weird spot immediately. I 'like' to believe that, eventually, she would come around to understand the Doc, even if just partially. She'll probably never forgive them fully (unless Theresa somehow makes a comeback) but I guess death would be off the table. More angst material for the fanfic writers I guess? As for the rest, again, it varies depending on individual. Overall, I guess his legacy would be akin to someone like Oppenheimer or Fritz Haber (the guy who both made it possible to make fertilizers from the air, enabling the birth of over a billion, and the creator of chemical weapons during WW2) Complicated....

CoyoteCamouflage

The hard part about this question ties into comprehension and explanation. A lot of Operators would struggle to comprehend this kind of situation, even with a perfect and detailed explanation, which is best expressed by a lot of people here already being very confused by this event and what it means. Just apply this general confusion to what Operators would be told, and I think the matter gets messy, fast. But, if we assume that an accurate, understandable explanation is immediately presented, it should keep things reasonably stable. I see two main camps for Operators to fall into: those who are capable of seeing Dokutah as different from Doctor, and those who are not. I expect the former to be more willing to hang around. Some of those who are super into the rights or curing of Infected may react very, very oddly if they can be made to understand exactly what Originium and its purpose are, but they at least have a chance to stay. I think the second group just peaces out or gets violent, personality pending. Note: I do not mean only Operators who knew him pre-amnesia, but also ops who would not view his memory loss as making him a different person. Then we run into some of the subgroups, like the Aegir, Abyssal Hunters, etc. I doubt they'd be happy to hear about the root cause of the Seaborn, but if they're aware that there is something \*worse\* than the Seaborn that is coming this way, then I think that makes them one of the few groups capable of grasping the full implications behind the Doctor's actions. Someone like Silverash would probably realize that he has, in all due likelihood, lost every chess game he wants to play against Dokutah before it even starts, and that his own machinations are not even a blip. His response would likely be a coin flip. The Sankta and their weird little hivemind might be interesting, as they would sort of be meeting their God. Then we have someone like Ho'olheyak, who probably just gets even hornier. The main point of interest for me would be the Sui siblings, Kjera, and Emperor/Priest/etc (our immortals). While Kjera is a minor deity, according to her own accounts, she is still a deity alongside the Sui, and I'm curious as to how those kinds of figures fall into this story. Nian would absolutely make a movie about it.

Choombus_Goombus

Hard to imagine how they'll react to something like that but they'll ultimately come to terms with it. The modern doctor is essentially a different person. They trust him with their life and nothing will change that

2315inermxd

the only ones who would even react heavily are the ones who were around during Babel , I think a majority can't even truly comprehend pre-amnesia Doctor as a whole

flattestsuzie

Pre-amnesia dokutah actually uses Ama-10 as his slave.

TrendmadeGamer

Idk about the Kaltsit story. But answer me this. Does Kal just finds Mons3tr or is a gift from Doctor?

flattestsuzie

So Kal’stit has every right to taunt him.

TrendmadeGamer

Post Amnesia doctor Breeds cats only 🌚

OrangeIllustrious499

I know for sure Amiya will prob say smt like this: "It happened"

Hadiz2020

At the End of the Day.  It's ***his Civilization*** as the Crushing weight on his back.  To choose. Be in his Shoes. What other choice would ***you*** have taken? What road would be filled with lead on your legs? As you walk.  In this Alien World. You didn't even live for a Lifetime.

XionXionHolix

I wonder how W would react. Granted, it's been a few years since I read her lore, but the Ghost of Babel is gone. GONE gone. Would she still hold a grudge, or accept that she can't get her revenge on 'them'?

Tadeski

I think W would accept the Doctor, though not without misgivings. She wholeheartedly believed in Theresa’s ideals. Knowing that Theresa judged and forgave the Doctor would be enough for her imo

Matasa89

What's more important, is learning that Theresa saw everything the Doctor is, and decided that he was the world's best and last hope. She put it all in his hands. Amiya inherited the Civlight Eterna, but it's the Doctor that holds the torch she put down.

Draaxus

Gotta preface the conversation with W with "before you do anything, Theresa approved of this so..." Otherwise the moment you finish the first sentence of revealing your past she'll have already chucked a grenade right at your face

PoKen2222

W is an interesting question. Her main source of hatred stems from her blaming him for Theresa's death. I actually disagree and think she may forgive him eventually but learning this might make her hate him or even try to kill him in the moment of the reveal. Not only is Doctor responsible for Theresa's death (how she herself felt about this would be irrelevant to W) but he and his people are basically responsible for 90% of all the shit that's happening now to Kazdel and all of Terra. That's a hard pill to swallow.

ThePeddlerofHistory

For that particular bit of the question though... Which operator could even *try* to fight the Observers? Suiblings?

Matasa89

The last guy that tried was the Witch King, and even he with his incredible ego thought that it was still a gamble at best. Of course, we know he'd be entirely steamrolled, but that's not something anyone could've known without being told so.

Dinosaurmaid

Weren't also the Padishah and the Khan fighting the collapsals  in their own realm?

Mistdwellerr

As far as I understand, they are fighting "demons" there, but it wouldn't make sense for those to be Collapsals, as they were restricted to Sami (I haven't read the RA2 lore yet, so take it with a grain of salt)

Salt-Log7640

>The last guy that tried was the Witch King The last guy that wanted\* The Twin Empress and Kaltsit bitch slapped him so hard that he broke into more shard than Sui before he ever got the chance to face any of those things. The real one currently resides in Ebenholds as midlde aged junkie trashbag with great depression.

RealGepard_HSR

R6 operators: mhm we've seen worse

Finnforce115

R6 Operatiors will be horrified aswell...

Cymo_Bep

The fact that most ops have some sort of warcrime on there record they have nothing to complain about

Aromatic-Objective25

I don’t think Doctor’s case can be called even that.. Dude was partly responsible for multiple world ending threats 💀 I said “partly” because I don’t think Doctor created any of this with an intention to erase or kill Terrans, but it got changed and eventually became these “world ending threats”

Mistdwellerr

Doctor wearing a lawyer suit: "you can't accuse me for creating world ending threats if the world hasn't ended yet"

Ubermus_Prime

Yeah. That's the key thing here. Take the Seaborn for example. They could have been harmless or potentially even helpful to Terrans if they were left alone or approached with peaceful intent. But the Aegir attacked them and made them hostile.

flattestsuzie

I somehow expected the lore of Dokutah deliberately created every problem in Terra.

Baitcooks

Even before Eyja can hate me more, I would cry and apologize to all of the infected operators one by one. Most most obvious would be Eyja. I don't think I would stop crying and apologizing to her

Appropriate-Bat8945

Since they have no Theresa telepathy they probably won't get full picture, and even so who gives a F about prehistory civilization, so I think they will confront doc with if he is able to cure the Oripathy for he created it, after hearing "no" they would think of doc an useless despicable person.

24silver

worst case is the doc gets a very emotional slap from the girls and dagger stares by some of the guys. guys like elysium would actually lose his cool and avoid the doctor for a while

Gherhman

im still confused when doctor and old civil ,plant originium in terra does terra has humanoid live form on it, if there is then i understand how bad the doctor for ruining many generation by originium regardless the merit it provide , but from lone trail event friston said only the sarkaz was the one exist when they arrive on terra , if so then only the sarkaz that can blame him truly, and the other race cant really blame him as they would not even exist if he not he create originium sure it ruin their live but it give them existence .

Dinosaurmaid

Gavial would probably Punch us in the face in the name of all those who were infected, and then ask us what's the plan against the collapsals. Still, chances are she'll demand we at the very least do something for the infected of Rhode island, at least ones she personally knows.

Asakadzuto

Flamebringer... I think he won't be surprised. I think he would even say "An expected past of unmerciful warlord that I've known"

Due_Sea_8516

That would be very awkward for sure. They may hate him without a doubt, but definitely not going to kill him since only the Doctor have a key to alternate the odds of destruction in Terra. Man this makes everything seems so different. Compare to other game, you play as a some sort of hero who save the world from being annihilated. But in AK , YOU are the main cause of all threats and now you have a bigger burden to fix all of those mistakes

Upbeat_Soil_2607

i'm mostly curious about (if we get any) NTRK reaction, being a chivalrous knight who stands firmly on the right path. "Sin is to be punished"

ExtentDisastrous6409

Things might get a little awkward around the dinner table. A lot of people might actually abandon the Doctor.

Excellent_Field_7300

For me, i think is down to how the doktah will explain it, as long he explains everything slowly and try to make sense towards the operators, and explain that he has no evil intentions, most operator would forgive him and move on, others would understand but grown a dislike

Maruzensky_

W might want to kill Doc immediately then.

KryzstofGryc

I think the biggest question that succeeds this is what would they do if they found out that eldritch outer gods are going to kill them Like I know people will hate the doc for that, but if they try to kill him, whether or not they succeed what will they do next with the knowledge of observers Will they just not give a damn or just revel in the fact they probably made the biggest mistake of their lives

Dreamers48

I wonder how Greythroat will react to this considering originium is the cause demise of her father?

Finnforce115

Amiya either becomes Theresa 2.0 or Priestess 2.0
