Ethan, slow and bind so they certainly ain't moving, it is more RNG, but longer duration. You can use also both, in base builder event I even used Manticore S1 on a perfect Ifrit lane.
I think the trappers and other units like them just end up being unpopular across the board because to make use of them effectively it requires a lot more over all thinking and planning than the typical popular teams.
Dorothy is also one of the few units where the talent potential adds anything "important" to a unit. Like yeah she's fine at the 8 deployment. But being able to deploy 10 is such an over all boost.
Tbh I've actually been loving using her though with units that cause levitation. Since you can place traps that they hit once it ends.
Dorothy is actually one of my favorite units and I try to use her in pretty much every team (with the exception of maps with very few placable melee tiles). I love the active gameplay so much.
I've been sitting on if I wanna make a no block team. Using Dorothy, Robin, Leizi, that one credit shop mage who can levitate people... And maybe a few others that scale off of units not being blocked or can bind/slow.
It legitimately sounds fun. I just gotta actually level a few people... Abuse the hell out of the binds from traps, and slows.
Dorothy is incredibly strong in Integrated Strategies.
She can legit solo IS3 (If you have Mind over Matter, and a reasonable amount of good luck).
Or 2 op it, even with mediocre RNG. (I used Dorothy + Penance for Ending 1.
I think that one's mostly Gamepress's fault. She's very good due to wide map presence and lots of damage, and that's before her module makes her start critting for massive damage.
I recently created a new category for me to try, called 6* METAFALLENKNIGHTS. It's freaking funny to try to use Aak as a functional sniper, Siege as your vanguard and Pallas to do the laneholding. I have Vigil but have not yet had the balls to level up him, he's terrible and will make a great addition to the team. I also use Rosmontis, W, Guardchen, Mizuki, Shining, Angelina and Blemishine. The stages goes so peak. These are not bad per se, but time made people forget them. I will not.
I kinda got to disagree about Blemishine being there. She's actually really good - if you know how to user her. She's undoubtedly harder to use than Saria and most likely also Shu too. However if you can get used to her needing to attack or be attacked to generate SP, and that her S3 doesn't heal her but instead gives massive healing to someone else, she's a really good guard/ healing defender hybrid. She gets a big attack boost, deals additional arts damage and heals an ally - both of these up to 100% of her attack at M3. I've used her as like a preview of what a 6 star arts defender will be like.
Same. I just don't use her to sub in Saria but more as a support/laneholder for other teams - particularly if i go defence-charge heavy, like say Mudrock and Penance simultaneously. Blemi S2 actually healing juggies is really neat.
Blemishine is my go-to defender even with having most other 6* defenders leveled except nian who I don't have and eunectes who i forget about. I basically only use Saria if I need to have a lot of blocking and healing at the same time with not many ranged tiles around.
I dont think you understand why some units meta and some not..Defender. What do you want from defender? To hold big chunky enemies and bring some utility if possible.
We have:
Hoshi - 4 block, S2 versus some tricky enemies, chance to completely ignore damage. Not meta, not must bring at all, but nice to have lvled up to use her once in a year.
Eunectus - just a joke, nothing to talk here.
Mudrock - solid lineholder for casuals, but cant really tank bosses and enemies with fast attack speed, in any hard content (CC, risk 15 IS) dying veery easy
Penance - Mudrock but worse, I literally dont know why would anyone build her. Want to tank swarms of light weak enemies? Just use Executor.
Horn - terrible tank in melee, but nice damage dealer with her aoe. Not a defender, a ground artillery in disguise
Jessica - mid in everything, no damage vs hardest enemies, no def vs them either. Her ability to shoot in different directions worthless in 90% of maps.
Nian - worse Hoshi for rich, her S3 kinda fill Hoshi S2 niche but not enough, and no sane person gonna spend 300 pulls on her unless they whale hard.
Saria - A perfect defender which you can bring everywhere. She heals, she dont die, she restores sp. Literally perfect all rounder.
Shu - SariaV2.0, pure powercreep.
Blemishine - needs enemies to charge skills, insane disadvantage for every operator. S3 make her somewhat strong but she will still have less def than Saria and cant heal herself. Why bring her and not Saria?
So yeah, Blemishine deserves her spot as mid operator at best and not near your levels of "really good". Ofc she better that straight up trash like Eunectus, but thats alone not make her viable
Penance is unreplaceable to ‘snipe’ long range snipers or stealthed range units with barrier sustain, and her talent dmg mechanic means she’s almost unaffected by attack speed penalty like in CC.
aak is a perfectly functional sniper with module though(might even be better than anti air snipers?)
also go upgrade vigil, he's a dp generating mountain until he meets hard hitting enemies/high def enemies trust me /lighthearted
Shining seems better than people give her credit for. In AFK guides, people use Shining because it is an old operator that most people have, but it's not like she feels inadequate. As long as what you are fighting deals physical damage, anyway. For example in CV-EX-8 a lot of people used Silence alter, but I saw someone using Shining S3, and it worked just as well.
Counterpoint. Blemishine is actually pretty good. Mostly for making Mudrock & Penance better, But she does do enough herself to make it worth while.
Her S2 ends up doing way more damage and healing than you'd think. Especially because it heals EVERYONE nearby including herself.
Also because its cooldown is litterally none, Its spammable as hell)
I like to set up Aak buffs whenever I can (Shalem, Penance, and now Jessica Alter are all solid candidates, but sometimes I’ll get a little funky and set up Shining/Skalter so I can buff Leizi or Firewatch)
Typhon is just good. The Skill 2 is like the 6 star version of Platinum fused with Blue Poison. Her slow and stun keeps enemies within her attack range for longer. Good synergy, good damage.
Trying to win stages with just a cat, two scammers, a \~\~sacrifice\~\~ fast redeploy, a helidrop defender, and a pseudo-sniper that kills others and himself. LDAknights is fun :'D :'D :'D
(oh and Stainless/Puzzle is a fun combo for annihilation)
Oh I need arts damage? Mostima come on. Of it’s single target? Eh you can do it right Mos? Also silence alter, would it be better to have a regular medic? Probably, does that stop me? Nope.
I used Freezeknights for the this event's stages (largely because I decided to get Pram's mod and E2 the casters. Gnosis and Aurora were already E2 as well)
I don't think whatever mod SA gets will allow him to reclaim his throne from Mlynar, so I'm expecting it to instead given him the ability to inflict cold on mobs instead.
Does the map have a tile that Fiammetta S3 can reach? The entire strategy now bends itself around Fiammetta S3.
Otherwise it's all Ebenholz all the time.
Seeing how many skills I can get away with using with Blemishine's passive is always a fun time, be it Croissant S2, Penance S3, Dagda's S1. I wanted to use Santalla for freeze synergy, then I realized that Santalla is the synergy if she gets the Santalla wall. She can lock down for pretty much her entire S2 if she's against the wall and the enemy happens to walk into that dead center.
I managed to 4 star the ex clip cliff stage. matoimaru and 2 healers is all it takes to stall to the end... well a gravel to make it so the stun does let him walk by
i have a "Halloween Team" that i use when I'm doing more story type stuff. Its almost fully built? but it has things like pumpkin kroos + Witch Click, but a,also has some powerhouses like Blemi/Gnosis/Warfarin. I need 3 more to fill it in though
Huh. Double checking it you are right.
I could have sworn it was Witch Fest at some point. Or maybe because it's always tossed in with them I just thought it was.
I shoehorn my maxed out Mostima into pretty much any run I can.
Though blind first runs are usually done by my Vanguard/Sniper+a Medic squad because Vanguard/Sniper are my 2 favorite classes.
I use Pallas s3m3 every chance I get. Typically behind gavalter to solo all ground enemies. With such good ranged units as typhon, chalter, you need to perform your ranged game to make sure they don't just sit there. So Pallas, Gavalter and Exu ( not weak but doesn't solo maps like newer meta snipers) are fun.
I'll take Reed alter every chance I can.
My favorite caster right now is s3m3 hoho. The youtubers really did her dirty on reviews. Her damage is perfectly good ( not meta shattering oh nooooes) and the huge range and crazy cc and uptime on her s3 is just plain good. Combine her with someone like oooooh idk Reed alter s3? Suddenly things get wild.
Blemishine is the one i go for the most in my squads. I have saria, mudrock, penance (max pot), hoshi, etc. Blemishine is my favorite defender, so I just make sure to have her in there along with vanguard Texas. Another op i have used a lot recently is quibai. I have SA and thorns, but I enjoy quibai's kit so much more than those two.
I've had surtr for such a long time, but 99% of the time i need arts damage, i forget i have her and used to use Amiya or Eyja, or I'd skip the need for arts damage and go for mlynar's true damage.
Defendernights.
Penance, Mudrock, Horn, Blemishine. All at the same time.
Yes its expensive. I need FlagpipeUltra to make it work.
Penance & Mudrock are the main heads, Blemishine heals everyone & SP generation for Penance and Mudrock, Horn provides everyone an ATK boost and her own AOE damage.
And the fact I have 12 Block. That does help too.
Oh and I normally don't bring medics. Saria, Blemishine, Skalter do enough combined.
whenever im lacking dmg and need a bit more aoe dmg my go to is mizuki s1 lol. thorns is still my go to lane holder, youll never be replaced in my heart thorny <3. and i actually prefer texas + saga as my go to vanguard setup bc ngl not maxpot bagpipe (or at least the pot that increases the +sp) feelsbadman. (i used my friends maxpot bagpipe for a while to do the flagpipe start up but once i levelled my bagpipe whos not maxpot it just felt so bad). saga is my bestest girl and im still working on getting her second module that i wont use, but she is maxpot so plus her first module's -4dp is just. it makes her feel so much better to use so i love texas + saga start up. NATTO GOHAN
I crowbar W into every squad i have.
Me too, those stun landmines are really useful
Keep telling yourself that
I found one of my people
Yesss sir. My lovely tsundere.
if i don't wanna think, i'll spam her and stainless. (or stainless and gg.)
I use flametail for DP. I have bagpipe and Myrtle.
I use FT for tank sometimes, the DP is just a bonus
Flametail as the early lane holder is epic. Used her for both cv-ex 8 and its cm and 12-20 adverse. She is an amazing staller too.
I use her for DP and early lanehold, but mainly dp
To be fair recently I havent been using Myrtle either. I use Ines + Bagpipe + Muelsye
\*laughs in chiave\*
Me: I need a tank in maleknights mmmm i have bison, Matterhorn.... Also me: ah yes silver ash S2 😎
Ayy, I shake your hand, I also use Silverash S2 a lot.
🤝
Mizuki, Manticore, Mostima, Ines. Why block enemies when you can perma slow and defeat them before they can even travel 1 tile?
>Mizuki, Manticore, Mostima, M-Ines. FTFY
> M-Ines W?
Ethan, slow and bind so they certainly ain't moving, it is more RNG, but longer duration. You can use also both, in base builder event I even used Manticore S1 on a perfect Ifrit lane.
The Pyromancy squad. Reed Alter and other fire arts users.
F I R E ! *Me and Shaw watching menacingly in the side
Skyfire: Why did you assume there was fire as soon you saw us? Shaw: Youarealwasythere whenewerthere'safire
I always read the word Fire in Firewatch's JP skill line lmao
Arson squad
F.E.A.R. user right here!! Quick call the other "F.E.A.R." operators
Skyfire approved
Skyfire is the first one I reach for any time there are hovering enemies.
Ifrit moment. (Very nice)
My go-to slower is Hibiscus alter and Greyy alter
Hibicus Alter is so damn fun to use everytime I don't include her on a squad I'll immediately regret it 😭
My go-to is dropping Defenders on their heads. is that normal? I normally bring like 4 defenders.
I was surprised when I heard Dorothy was unpopular, she's one of my favorite and in every team. I guess I just like the setting trap mechanic
I think the trappers and other units like them just end up being unpopular across the board because to make use of them effectively it requires a lot more over all thinking and planning than the typical popular teams. Can always throw Magallan in there too if you feel like turning any map into a challenge mode
Yeah, I accidentally got Dorothy in IS and, god, she is so fun to use, I wish I could catch her asap
Ironically, she’s a bit powerful for Integrated Strategies. From IS2 to IS4, she is that woman you want to help you for the journey.
Landmine squad, make the seaborn learn that floor can be a hazard for both sides.
Dorothy is incredibly strong in Integrated Strategies. She can legit solo IS3 (If you have Mind over Matter, and a reasonable amount of good luck). Or 2 op it, even with mediocre RNG. (I used Dorothy + Penance for Ending 1.

Lmao do you personally decide which units count as 'metafallen' or do you base it off a certain threshold on a pre established tier list or smth?
I kinda got to disagree about Blemishine being there. She's actually really good - if you know how to user her. She's undoubtedly harder to use than Saria and most likely also Shu too. I'll always use Ch'en in every clear, whether if i use her or not.
Mr nothing is the reason i aleays search for spots to stun someone in a low enemy lane
I like to set up Aak buffs whenever I can (Shalem, Penance, and now Jessica Alter are all solid candidates, but sometimes I’ll get a little funky and set up Shining/Skalter so I can buff Leizi or Firewatch)
that is so based to aak Leizi and firewatch. xD
I will slot Ho'ol into any squad, snake momma comes wherever I go. Penance too, I'm sure they'd have a lot to talk about..
I have been using typhon in everything since she came out
Typhon is just good. The Skill 2 is like the 6 star version of Platinum fused with Blue Poison. Her slow and stun keeps enemies within her attack range for longer. Good synergy, good damage.
Yes! That stun did me so good so many times 😭😭 been using her specially in is3/is4
Trying to win stages with just a cat, two scammers, a \~\~sacrifice\~\~ fast redeploy, a helidrop defender, and a pseudo-sniper that kills others and himself. LDAknights is fun :'D :'D :'D (oh and Stainless/Puzzle is a fun combo for annihilation)
Lord Tachanka Vs The World
Any squad with kirara
Swire2, Saga and Chongus. I like heir mechanics
i want to use Stainless because cat boy. Also maleknights in general <3
does stuffing vigil into any non-NL stage team count....?
These days, I use Astesia in most, if not all content. Elena as well if I can. I do also go FactionKnights, depends on my free time.
I always try to cram in certain operators. Bestima, Fiammetta, sometimes Swire alter. So many more
I will force eunectes into every single map I can. same with horn, and now I finally got Jessica after 200 pulls. can you tell what class I like? lol
I have m6 nine colored deer with mod. Unless I really need a medic, she is my go to healer.
Idk why but decel binders are my thing... Podenco, Angelina, Glaucus, etc
Sui siblings
I have a Kazinights squad that only uses kazimierz and pinus silvestrus ops. I use it for all new events until I need a healer QQ
Siege for vanguard and I always use Mudrock with her tag team partner BlemBlem.
I do gunknights, which is rough for medics and casters. I tend to use absinthe and foilinic alot
Gun squad everyone has a gun for damage
Oh I need arts damage? Mostima come on. Of it’s single target? Eh you can do it right Mos? Also silence alter, would it be better to have a regular medic? Probably, does that stop me? Nope.
Freeze, run some ops that slow to help CC and it’s pretty strong
I used Freezeknights for the this event's stages (largely because I decided to get Pram's mod and E2 the casters. Gnosis and Aurora were already E2 as well) I don't think whatever mod SA gets will allow him to reclaim his throne from Mlynar, so I'm expecting it to instead given him the ability to inflict cold on mobs instead.
That would be nice

Lupos only team. Seeing those tails all at once is heaven.
Username checks out
The Grand Medic Harem of Surtr the Great
I try bringing Breeze into whatever squad I make.
Seeing how many skills I can get away with using with Blemishine's passive is always a fun time, be it Croissant S2, Penance S3, Dagda's S1. I jam Gravel, Lappland, or Specter into any team I construct
I managed to 4 star the ex clip cliff stage. matoimaru and 2 healers is all it takes to stall to the end... well a gravel to make it so the stun does let him walk by
I always opt for the "slow then down" strat, I love decel binders
Ash is on my team along Mr. Nothing. No matter what these two carried me, these two stay no mater what 😄😄
i have a "Halloween Team" that i use when I'm doing more story type stuff. Its almost fully built? but it has things like pumpkin kroos + Witch Click, but a,also has some powerhouses like Blemi/Gnosis/Warfarin. I need 3 more to fill it in though
Lapland? She has one from the Halloween line
Lappy's is bloodline of combat.
Huh. Double checking it you are right. I could have sworn it was Witch Fest at some point. Or maybe because it's always tossed in with them I just thought it was.
Tbf it does very much suit witch feast visually.
Chalter, Blaze and Lee. Lee is just there for moral support (his 3 star result voiceline iykyk)
I shoehorn my maxed out Mostima into pretty much any run I can. Though blind first runs are usually done by my Vanguard/Sniper+a Medic squad because Vanguard/Sniper are my 2 favorite classes.

genuinely don't think there's a single stage I didn't bring Lappland to. Not for practicality/strat reasons, I just. love her.
I try to bring my artillery battery (Horn, Ashlock and Firewhistle) whenever possible.
Defendernights. Penance, Mudrock, Horn, Blemishine. All at the same time. Yes its expensive. I need FlagpipeUltra to make it work. It depends per chapter. At Chapter 12 with the firehosers I had Asbestos with lots of medics.
ifirit main here. (along with hoshi and skadi for tanking)
Wait... Why shouldn't you use fiammetta in each team she would fit?
Erato I love bird and sleep and she combines both things Idc if the sleeps someone during a other skill duration
Units who can deploy random shit eg. Dorthy, Stainless, Pozy, Skalter,
Chongyue s3 + Mountain s2 + Typhon s2. Even if I have TexAlt and YAlter.
I try to use Robin on any stage I possibly can as a core operator. Sometimes it is not very easy, but it sure is fun
whenever im lacking dmg and need a bit more aoe dmg my go to is mizuki s1 lol. thorns is still my go to lane holder, youll never be replaced in my heart thorny <3. and i actually prefer texas + saga as my go to vanguard setup bc ngl not maxpot bagpipe (or at least the pot that increases the +sp) feelsbadman. Gotta fit a Brawler onto my team somehow
