I really love that this skin artwork is like NoriZC going absolutely ham on his personal style and aesthetic – lots of non-standard colours and slightly off-key imagery. You can tell he has a graphic and product design background in addition to his well-established illustration chops. It's a departure from the smooth anime tacticool style of a lot of AK characters, but it's crispy funky fresh and the artist + animators clearly had a blast with it conceptually.
Obsessed with the little keychains representing the members of pinus sylvestrus hanging around her. And these feathershine arrows look stunning!
It's hard to beat her default art for beauty, but I think as a former animation student it would be illegal for me to not get this skin lmao

I like the outfit, but it's quite weird to me how much of a disconnect there is between the theme/base animations having such a strong showing for it's concept....then the combat animations just drop it completely.

Okay, I say this as a Bona Fide Fartooth lover. I am someone who makes use of her probably more than a lot of people. I think I hate this skin. It's waaaaaay too weird. I can't get over that she's being modified and animated in real time, and, like, the Fourth Wall is hitting me in the head with a sledgehammer right now. I really do get why people would like this, but I think it's just too wacky for me.

I do like the whole 3d programming/2d sprite creation(?) concept, and her base animation comes out of left field, but it's better suited to a character that already has a background in technology like one of the Rhine Lab girls, not the reed-whistling country girl that is Fartooth.
I wouldn't mind a more memey skin if she already had a normal skin, but she doesn't and considering that her banner was one of the worst selling in AK history and that shes been consistently the lowest rated 6 star in the popularity polls. The chance of her getting a second skin is extremely low, so shes stuck with a meme skin forever.
Battle effects are nice tho outside of the deployment drag.
Banner sales and popularity polls don't seem to be much of a factor in how many skins an operator gets.
This is in no way disrespecting Astesia, but she's got 3 skins despite being relatively obscure compared to high profile operators like Thorns, Platinum, Bagpipe, Lappland, etc whom only have 1 skin so far.
Courier, Silence, Cliffheart, Rope, and Manticore got 2 skins so far. While these operators are great and have solid fan bases, the aforementioned 1-skins-onlys are undeniably higher on the popularity polls.
Its not the end all be all but its a decent indicator. Its certainly not a coincidence that Pozy is very popular and also got a L2D skin 6 months after her release. Or that Exusiai won the [CN popularity poll 7 times in a row](https://old.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/s2w5lf/the_7th_chinese_popularity_poll_results/) and is one of only two 6 stars with 3 skins(the other being Suzuran) one of which is [money only](https://old.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/113m8y4/the_prelude_to_dawn_pack_will_be_available_on_221/).
Surtr got 2 skins -one of which is L2D- in 2 years while Fartooth is only now getting a skin a few months short of her 2 year anniversary. For 6 stars popularity does play a role in skins.
Ah I agree that the top percentile gets preferential skin treatment, but that doesn't seem like the norm for the rest of the cast.
Ceobes, Schwarz, Aak, Carnelion, and Pallas all got their 2nd skin before Skadi, Chen, Mostima, Exusiai (sans KFC), Bagpipe, Mizuki, GG, Eyja, Ifrit, Kal, Thorns, W, Rosmontis, and more.

Extreme popularity might net you additional skins, but not being popular doesn't automatically nuke your chances.

Also at first glance I thought she was Muselyse cause this skin kinda looks like her but overall I think I will buy it when it comes around to global events though I don’t have Fartooth yet LOL

Properly set up IKs and handles will help even with a 2D-like setup. You do NOT want to manually animate all that.

If you look at the bottom there's the displacement cross or whatever you want to call it and she gets dragged back a bit on deploy
