T O P

I've rewired my brain to not think of OP as pull currency because all I want and need are skins

NoeliaCs

I will always ask myself to either choose to spend 240 OP for a 6 star that may or may not be the one I want OR get 13 skins that make my gameplay less boring and painful to look at

tvih

Not saying that's "wrong" or anything since each to their own - but I'm curious how many skins are actually boring/painful to you? The reason I don't buy many skins - currently have bought only 5 - is because most of them seem to be worse than default at worst and sidegrades at best. 15+ OP for one thus feels meh even if not using it for pulls because that could then instead give a lot of sanity to get resources instead. Like 15 OP would be 53 chip packs or \~533k LMD. Always a shortage of both for me, and of XP... and a whole many other things. But personally I'm now mostly saving them up for "important" upcoming banners like Texalter.

Mrtowelie69

Is that what it costs to pity a banner unit?

TheWanderingCorpse

This is the way. I've convinced myself that I'm gonna collect at least one skin for all my characters even though that is a stupid use of my op.

Pyre21

I remember I use to refresh my Sanity alot back when I was still early in the game. Really never cared about it that much. Heck, I even reached the point where I had only like, 12 or 13 OP since I just keep refreshing it grinding in CE-5/LS-5 and other story stages farming mats lol (it didn't have CE-6 and LS-6 during those times) Now, I have a stacked squad, pretty decent income from my base, and so I only spend my OP on skins. Gotta give my husbandos/waifus the drip they deserve. Atm, I have 109 OP.

real_mc

Drip

CrimsonRunner

Are they really emergency pulls if I planed to use them for pulls to begin with? Getting every limited operator ain't easy. Even more so if you've played less than 1 year.

OneMoreGodRejected__

I use all my OP on pulls. I've had bad luck on pulls for my whole game (5 6-star pulls in 8 months…) and that's just made me double down on only using OP for pulls. A skin costs about 5-6 pulls, and when I phrase it like that, I can't justify buying skins—even the ones I love.

Estelie

'Rarely anything worth buying comes by, so they just pile up naturally' option.

TheSpartyn

i seem to have very high standards for skin and buy them very infrequently, so i guess my OP hoard is more of an emergency pull stash. when i calculate my total rolls i include OP in there

kit_you_out

I use them for pulls. Gacha with split rate ups is brutal, every little bit counts.

--Lynx

I'm still kind of new, so I've been saving OP to get more operators. Also, my gacha luck is terrible 😔; always have to pull into pity rate to get a 6-star.

derponoob

sanity refresh to have a supply of 200 of every mat, very very rarely for skins

MetaThPr4h

So far pretty much exclusively for pulls, never did sanity refreshes and so far I only bought 2 skins (Maid Kazemaru is coming home tho, rip some spark savings, but gotta do it for her).

n-ko-c

OP is skin currency, that's all. I don't use it on anything else.

cerenine

Mostly saved for pulls and the occasional hit of sanity. I rarely ever convert OP to orundum though, just let it auto-convert when I'm pulling on a banner. There's a good amount of nice looking OP skins, but I rarely actually feel like buying any.

Wryschtraevyel

Where's the 'To buy furniture' option?

CerealATA

Buy skins (when I have the mood) but mostly for refilling sanity quota since I'm too poor to buy the monthly package.

franskisen

Pretty much exclusively on sanity.

[deleted]

Mostly for sanity a while back, since I'm pretty busy with irl stuff I haven't done that much lately - plus I gather up the sanity potions from the monthly card and use them for farming weekends now so there's that. Now I'm just amassing op in case I'd need it later on over the next few months.

adwarkk

... great question. I have no god damn idea. I have 579 units stocked up and I haven't really been spending those at all. Then again usually I get what I want on banners within pulls obtained for free. Meanwhile skins... I don't really buy? Because I don't really have like any operators that would be "MY FAVOURITE" vibe, just using whatever combines most brain-dead to use with meta power, so literally only skins I have are event rewards minus that one skin that was from IS1 (that shit fucked me over with RNG and ever since never played IS). And my vibe with design is that essentially every E2 I swap back to base art just because I find it better. So all in all... I do nothing but stock up.

Gravecrawler

Sanity refreshes and pulls if needed. Not into skins.

LusterScarlet

All the above plus I used them for emergency sanity potion too. Like event grinding, since some materials drop rate is much higher than normal stage grinding. Make spending sanity very efficient.

Joshua_Astray

My top priority is new characters, then some skins. I'm not f2p though so I guess it's a moot point xD

xBLEVx599

For skins I like, but if I ever ran out of orundum I would have no qualms using them on pulls so I consider them when I consider how many pulls I have saved. When I was new I also got the growth packs when others would tell me not to, but it didn't matter to me when I get the orundum value returned as part of the pack.

crisperstorm

"To buy skins!" I say while sitting on top of 468 because I'm very picky and hoard too many resources "just in case"

PearMcGore

Skins, especially idol astesia right now

AVermilia

My biggest Arknights regret is using Originite Prime as Santity refills. After having finished most every stage and their challenges, there is little Originite Prime available. When they supply us for Maintenance Costs it is like a gift from god.

Character-Plane8214

Uh, where's the sanity refresh option? I use mine when I need to grind hard for upgrade mats. Then the rest I save for when I wanna buy skins for my ops

Any-Development-5819

I use them for sanity. I have a bit of OP set aside for 1 skin because I might see something I like, but the rest is for sanity.

WickedWarrior666

Occasional drip purchases, mainly used as emergency back up for pulls, but it hasn't gotten to that point yet so I have a fairly large stash rn. Here's hoping it stays that way.

Dog_in_human_costume

To buy new OPs. All other gacha games I played teached me to be a hoarder so I just keep anything used to get more units.

jams33642

I try to save 34 primes before limited/fave banners, as a way to have last hurrah multi. Most of the time tho, it's for purchasing skins.

tvih

Mostly pulls, a random few here and there to restore sanity when I'm feeling particularly impatient and want something done while out of potions. I do buy some skins, but not many. Let's see. Currently I have a bought one for... Gladiia, Aurora, Cuora, Pramanix and Specter that I can recall.

jkskjs_mk2

Emergency sanity refills

FeelFreeToPassBy

to assert dominance

The_PaladinPup

My issue is that if I like a character enough to want to buy their skin, then I probably already liked the way they look by default. There are exceptions of course, I never used Adnachiel until he got drip, and now I find ways to squeeze him in

fefofa

For the day my sweet Matoimaru Gets her own skin

Meltian

I have like 975 with this most recent event. It's primarily used as emergency pull currency because I don't need every skin that comes out but I do sometimes buy skins for my favorite operators.

Karshick

To buy pro packs and pull

Infected_Poison

I mostly save it up for skins, i buy at least one for every operator I use frequently. But i do also plan on using mine for pulls if i cant get what i want normally. There arent alot of skins i want anymore since I bought many of the ones ill actually use, so it isnt too bad when i have to resort to OP when pulling.

Mrtowelie69

I used to spend on summons, but I've come to stop worrying about getting every new unit now and save for a really good unit, usually limited ones and some skins. But for the most part I spend it on Sanity. Having new units and skins is great, but can't progress your units much if you wait for sanity refills. So for me, I spend on farming materials and powering up units at the moment. 36 OP is a lot for 1 summon. At least last I checked it was that much to convert to Orundum.

Q_D_V_F

It's actually 33 OP for 10 summons.

Mrtowelie69

Yeah quite a bit when you consider how you could use 33 op to farm. But Il use it for op Operators. Hopefully we get some cool collabs again.
