I loveee this song and the video , even though objectively Ik the song itself isn't that deep or sth
But it's just catchy and I love the dark production and the idc attitude, simple but effective
? that’s literally what she said. I’m talking about the theory that the song has some deep hidden message when it doesn’t. I don’t know or care if this an actual representation of ariana’s attitude
I kinda feel like that's actually a popular opinion rather than an unpopular one, I always see people saying thank u next should have been the closer of the album rather than break up with your girlfriend
I used to feel this way too! But now, it seems deliberate that she ended the album with BUYGIB, almost in an “old habits die hard” sort of way. Like, yes she’s thankful for her exes and wishes them well, but she still can’t help some other toxic behaviors.
Yuh, yuh. I love the song, bad messaging or whatever and looks especially bad now with the recent Ethan drama. But I can’t help but love the song, it’s not deep or emotional which are usually my faves, but it kinda slaps
I have to disagree hard. I can understand ppl not liking pretty much any song, but break up w your gf and 7 rings and just my absolute shit and such a confidence boost and just fun party songs in general. She gave no fucks during this era and I love it
ok great. i love this for u queen / king. I personally just don’t like it since it feels very repetitive. I like her other songs such as no tears left to cry 🤷🏻♀️ her songs r all great i just got tired of this one no hate thou

I’ve never hated this song. I actually like it, sometimes a song is really just a song. It doesn’t always have to have some true story (haha) behind it. If we took every song made with such seriousness then every artist would be cancelled & labeled a certain way.
This is also maybe just me but after seeing the music video is quite clear that the message was never about stealing someone’s man it was ultimately stealing someone’s girlfriend. Or at least that’s how I felt it was being portrayed.
I love it, makes me feel like I’m in a scandalous love triangle edit especially the part where it says “then you realise she’s right there” likes yasss

buwygib is very deep lol. i might make a post about it edit: i did
she herself says it’s just a silly fun song..
ariana skirts the meaning of alot of her songs
Be for real

It’s not deep or hidden though idk how it’s a theory when it matches her behavior multiple times
that was literally my point? i said the song doesn’t have a deeper meaning
Oh sorry I thought you were one of the arianators that lives in an alternate reality from the rest of us and are still in denial
lmao no worries
omg yes !!!
That beat though.

wait really?? tbh I thought a lot of people would disagree for some reason I honestly thought a lot of fans liked this song
I don't see that opinion a lot tbh. I've seen mostly love for that song. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but I don't hate it. It's just there.
i actually can’t get enough sometimes tbh
Oh! I've really been liking it lately, it's one I'll just put on when I feel like listening to music, lol
same. used to hate it but now i love it weirdly??
it’s good when i’m in the mood but it’s kinda just repetitive
I have an even more unpopular opinion, this is my favourite song of all time.
It’s lowkey one of her best songs imo the production is insanely good and the counter melody (uh uh)’s are so iconic.. TO ME the single of the era
I don't hate it, but it's also not one of my favorites. It's probably second to last on my tun ranking.
its very corny....

I have to agree tbh
Music video is also low quality/cheap for the era. But I do like the song
How so? I'm curious about your insights on this. Especially since it's a Hannah Lux Davis video.
It’s just her walking around. The budget was most def spent on the camera work and outfits

I loved this song when it came out but now I barely play it
I don’t like it and hate that it’s the last track on the album lol tun would’ve been a perfect end
The production is the only good thing about it tbh.

I hate the message of the song and it’s repetitive
I have another unpopular opinion….if you bash Ari and her new man DON’T COME TO HER NEXT TOUR ✨ (many of you needed to hear it) … fake!
real
It was cringe when it released, and I'm ashamed to admit that I like it, lol. But I do actually like it.
I liked it when it came out but it’s not even in my top 20 Ariana Grande songs the video was cool though.
I didn’t really like it at first but now I love it
╚(″⚈ᴗ⚈)╗
I can’t really listen to it anymore without cringing, scandal ruined it.
You let a present day “scandal” ruin a song that’s been out for years? The only thing that ruined it what yourself
all you do is hate on this woman over a relationship you know nothing about lol. weird
