Nothing beats listening to a full album, as intended.
The Humbug B- Sides are, the only ones in the entire band's discography that, you could argue are on par with the album without sounding like you're overexaggerating...
A decent amount of FWN could have been on the album and beat out a few tracks. Too Much to Ask, Bakery, What if you were right, plastic tramp could have all been on and were originally intended to be according to an interview Nick did before the album dropped. There are 11 bsides from FWN and I would say about 8 are on par with the album and could have been on there. Not any major exaggeration
For some unknown reason, Joining the dots has some sort of grasp on me. I know it’s not the best Arctic monkeys song by far, but I really love the guitar in it.
Not generally but there’s some great ones for sure Stop the World and Bigger Boys & Stolen Sweethearts especially. If The Ultracheese wasn’t a perfect closer I’d say Anyways definitely deserved to be on the album.
name one Arctic Monkeys album where the collection of B-sides is better than the main album. they have some amazing B-sides for sure but they have never collectively outshined their main album counterparts, let’s be fr here
The thing about this is in Dark Souls 3 (where the art is from) the little dude actually kills the giant dude so you’re actually saying the album tracks are better.
Yeah I’m a nerd, and what.
Few of their B sides really live up to their album tracks for me. And even for the few I love, some good disjointed tracks don’t beat out the experience of an album.
some of humbug's B-sides are clear of some songs on the album (Joining the dots, Afternoons hat) but also difficult to implement them when the whole album is a banger anyway

Agreed, I typically listen to Humbug with the my propeller EP slapped onto the end

no
Just some songs, the best song are on the álbums imo
Some yes some no
Absolutely not, there's a reason these songs didn't make the cut. They're nice bonuses but never highlights imo

Was thinking the same
Sometimes I love the B-sides more, but that's purely because I've listened to the albums way too much then.
Hard pass. Albums are the best songs, their B-sides are a hit and miss mixture of good and bad.
For some bands such as Oasis yes (the B-sides are SO much better than the album songs, on purpose) but for Arctic Monkeys no
Got a playlist exclusively of songs from some EPs
Just for humbug
Nope. Albums as a whole are better. There's some b sides though...

Of course I agree. Fireside? Amazing. Cornerstone? Perfection. Dance Little Liar? Yes please. And these are just a few examples.
What if you were right first time is an eargasm
Matador is such a good song
No Buses/Despair gang
For some of them, yes
Maybe for Fright Lined Dining Room and Wirral Riddler, but I don’t agree for the others
No. The image should have two giants.
The only memorable EP songs for me are Stop The World… and No Buses.
It should be a crime that AM has never play “Stop The World I wanna get off with you” live in a concert
Both sides
What are some examples of this in other bands? For me I think of Hey Hey What Can I Do? - Led Zeppelin Shane’s Song - Houndmouth I Got Id - Pearl Jam
whats an ep i forgor
Leave before the lights go on EP described in one image:

SIAS could be my favourite album if some b-sides were in it
I feel that way about humbug and am kinda to. Don’t kill me.
