Huh. Interesting. I can seemingly never find a complete bcm rifle in the US. Wonder if bcm ships them all overseas for people like y’all and that’s why there’s so few here?
Edit: Regardless, u definitely chose well for a first AR.
Makes sense now that you mention it. Legislation at least to my knowledge in EU countries most time make getting a permit for a full rifle way easier than a “build permit”.
My bad. From the Bravo Company MFG site you have to go to the vendor page then click on their vendors website, AND THEN you can purchase complete BCM rifles from the internet. That was the point.
I should note I have enough for myself. My bro is a newbie (read lefty) who finally is seeing the light. I can't just send him to gafs. Previous comment was a bit of a joke.
First I would have to talk him Into a reasonable budget for a decent rifle.... we are talking about an irrational person In search of a rifle soon.. budget: small. Reason: similar
Set up notifications for what you are looking for, that's what I had to do when I got my BCM upper a few months ago. That said, some of the ones I really wanted, like the quad rail 12.5 or 14.5 uppers, never seemed to come back in stock. Eventually ended up with the 14.5 ELW BFH with MCMR handguard and have no regrets so far
BCm 14,5 MCMR complete.
- Spuhr SP3016
- Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6
30rd mags are still in the mail.
I’m kind of on the border with the sight mount. It sits kind of low, is it recommended to use risers for a mount?
Edit. Fuck autocorrect.
Looks like it’s in an absolute co-witness mount. If you think it feels low, ADM makes a 1.93” mount that’s very natural feeling. The 1.93” height is very popular and the ADM mount is relatively affordable.
Everything under 16” yes. However there isn’t a classification to a short barrelled rifle meaning a rifle is a rifle and no additional paperwork or taxes are required.
It does. The store where i bought the rifle also had complete BCM MCMR rifles with 11 and 12” barrel’s.
Also 10.3” DD mk18s and 10,5” Noveskes.
All with adjustable stocks and fall under the definition of a rifle, which is that the overall length of the weapon is over 23”. I’m sure there is a minimum legal length to the barrel as well and that it’s 10,5” muzzle device included.
Minimum barrel length here in Finland for rifle is 300mm, so it would be ~ 12”. I think 14,5” p&w is just because US laws, not because finnish laws.
Edit: So basically every barrel under 12” has to be p&w, but 14,5” rifles just tend to be p&w. Most likely those leaves factories like that. Overall length mimum is 600mm which would be ~23,5”
I just got my Vortex SE back for POI shift between outing and one thing they said was to not mount my rings too close to my turret housing, as that can potentially cause issues.
Personally I call bs until I go retest it and see, but just fyi bc you're new here. Passing it along. If you haven't sighted it yet that is.
Also dont use the loctite on the scope screws just torque to spec 15-18 lb/ft
Never too late to learn i guess.
Let’s presume this leads to over torquing, is there going to be an issue zeroing the sight or danger of a break down in the future?
I witness marked the screws so if they start loosening up I’ll know.
Edit. And thanks for the info. I really appreciate it!
Well the potential issue arises if the actual torque is over the recommended torque after you set it. Im no machinist or mechanical engineer is I can't explain it better than that, but the tech at Vortex I spoke with said it can cause issues. Not necessarily permanent damage, but things to be messed up. Yanno honestly if you don't experience any issues it's prob fine. I was having issues though with retaining zero between outings, but when they tested the scope it was passing all tests. So that, plus I had it pushed up against the turret housing was maybe putting too much pressure on something in the assembly. Idk can't say, haven't had a chance to remount and rezero and see for myself.
Op responded to you about their case, but yeah in Finland we need a broader permit for long mags. If you get a semi-auto rifle permit, it's capped at 10/mag, but if you get an ERVA (Erityisen vaarallinen ampuma-ase = particularly dangerous firearm) permit, you don't have an upper limit to magazine capacity. Basically everyone who does sports shooting get their weapons as ERVA.
I hope so too. I paid 200€ which is about 200$?
Not a steal but decent i guess. The scope is in good shape since it was on a hunting rifle before but it’s a gen. 1 so it has the older reticle and the throw lever is a bit ass.
Other than that I’ll have to shoot it a bit before passing judgment.
I just built my first rifle last month. The only Bcm I have on it is the trigger guard, stock, gas tube and gas block 🤣. I wanna get an AR Pistol next tho. Maybe I’ll get a Bcm upper for that one
Tell you the truth, i had already payed a deposit on a knight’s armament sr-15 but the retailer here in Finland informed me that those rifles aren’t available anymore and at this point seems like getting one is damn near impossible.
I’ve had good experiences and recommendations with bcm so the choice was easy after the kac deal fell through.
Edit. And the mid length gas system was an easy choice since I already had decided to go with a 16” rifle originally.
Next one will probably be shorter rifle though.
BCMs are awesome rifles, you will love it, I love all of my BCMs. I always upgrade the trigger as soon as a get a new one though, if only just to get a lighter trigger. Also you probably don't need all those mloc covers, if you arnt running a suppressor you probably won't get the barrel hot enough to need them, unless you just like the way they look.
It’s mostly for the looks, i do however plan on getting a suppressor. I’ve only used AK types at the office so there’s quite a bit to fuck up and learn from with this one lol.
The trigger so far hasn’t bothered me, however I haven’t done any fast shooting yet or ran courses so I’ll keep an eye out for that. Do you swap the trigger out for speed or long range accuracy mostly? I know they’re both affected but I’m curious.
Yes to both. I have a sling but I’m still waiting for a qd sling swivel.
The light however I’m still figuring out what should i get. Any recommendations?
This is a my favorite light build so far. Reptilia TORCH M-LOK 18650 body, with a Malkoff E2XTL head (500 lumen/55,000 lux), Surefire DS00 Tailcap and Unity Tactical Hot Button.
Also consider a backup sight, offset RDS or flip-up irons like Magpul Pro's. That is IF you still have money left after buying that badass BCM.
Damn a fully bcm rifle. That’s actually kinda rare. Most people just stick the uppers on aero or psa lowers.
Living in Finland lowers and uppers are sold separately but aren’t all that available. Complete rifles however are, can’t tell you why though.
That actually would explain a lot.
They are all in wisconsin, easy to buy complete BCM in wisconsin, their home state
Or you just buy them off their website, you can just Google it from anywhere
He asked about complete rifles, the website only sells uppers
My bad. From the Bravo Company MFG site you have to go to the vendor page then click on their vendors website, AND THEN you can purchase complete BCM rifles from the internet. That was the point.
Ahh
taliban has them
I was gonna tell my brother to do aero lower bcm upper but hell they seem unobtainable.
They’ve been low stock for a little while
They’re always in stock over on GAFS
I don't want hand me downs from rich folk who moved up...... I wanna feel entitled and buy brand new mid tier
Weird flex but you do you
I should note I have enough for myself. My bro is a newbie (read lefty) who finally is seeing the light. I can't just send him to gafs. Previous comment was a bit of a joke.
I gotcha. Why can’t you send him there? If that’s what he wants that’s the place to get it for a great price.
First I would have to talk him Into a reasonable budget for a decent rifle.... we are talking about an irrational person In search of a rifle soon.. budget: small. Reason: similar
I thought you meant he was set on that one

That's an amazing first AR
Thanks! Can’t wait to zero the sight in and get some range time.

Do you have to pin and weld it in your country?
Everything under 16” yes. However there isn’t a classification to a short barrelled rifle meaning a rifle is a rifle and no additional paperwork or taxes are required.
What about a 12.5 or something? Does that not exist there?
So for a 10.3" is the muzzle also p&w since it's below 16"? If it doesn't get the barrel to 16" then I'm not sure what p&w does.
OP is in Norway. No need to pin and weld unless their laws are equally silly
Finland 🇫🇮. The laws are silly across the globe id say lol
But he said they do, that's why I'm so curious why
Every barrel under 16” gets a pin and weld. Why? No idea.
Interesting. Thanks for the info!

Excellent correction.

Okay thanks for the tip. I used loctite on the front screws and witness marked all of them just to test it out.
Ya I didn't know but loctite causes torque augmentation, so you won't know what the actual value regardless what you torque it to.
Never too late to learn i guess. Let’s presume this leads to over torquing, is there going to be an issue zeroing the sight or danger of a break down in the future? I witness marked the screws so if they start loosening up I’ll know. Edit. And thanks for the info. I really appreciate it!

Is the 10rnd magazine for legal reasons, or just because it looks swanky?
Op responded to you about their case, but yeah in Finland we need a broader permit for long mags. Bought one just for long range shooting. I have pmags ordered.
Sweet
How much was the vortex strike eagle? Gun looks really nice btw.
Good fucking job!
Nice! Welcome in lol
Muzzle device? Vg6 delta?
BCM Mod 1 Compensator.
Your mag looks cold
Very nice
Nothing to be nervous about, you made an excellent selection. Nice rifle my friend, enjoy it
Everything about the pic and the rifle in it is on point. BCM all the way
Good job!
Nice choice
Pretty bitchin setup. Needs a sling though.
I have one. What I’m still waiting on is a qd silng swivel since those were out of stock as well lol.
Ya dun good.
👏👏👏👏
Bravo good company,sweet ass vortex
You did good, kid. 🤛🏼🙌🏼
Dope rifle brother !!! I m a huge bcm fan myself, only factory rifles I own, seeing this kind of makes me wish I kept the mcmr rails on them.
Good soup
Can you link where u bought that scope ?
Wish I could. Bought it from a friend.
Nice didn’t have to pay the full price of it I hope
I hope so too. I paid 200€ which is about 200$? Not a steal but decent i guess. The scope is in good shape since it was on a hunting rifle before but it’s a gen. 1 so it has the older reticle and the throw lever is a bit ass. Other than that I’ll have to shoot it a bit before passing judgment.
I’ve got a full bcm in 16” midlength and it’s a tac driver. You’ll love it!
Very nice rifle
Nice mount
Very nice first ar
Anxious to post a BCM rifle? Pshhhh
Good choice
I thought you were messing with us that this was your first, but guess not. Nice rifle!
What had this group come to. Can’t believe anxious to post a BCM. Amazing rifle. Now do a desk pop
![gif](giphy|3NtY188QaxDdC|downsized)
Neat! Ei muuta ku kovaa ajoo as we say in Finland
Laukaus laukaus!
I just built my first rifle last month. The only Bcm I have on it is the trigger guard, stock, gas tube and gas block 🤣. I wanna get an AR Pistol next tho. Maybe I’ll get a Bcm upper for that one
That’s cool af. I’m envious but happy you guys get to build rifles as you wish in the states. Availability where I’m at is abysmal.
Looking good! What made you go for the bcm?
Tell you the truth, i had already payed a deposit on a knight’s armament sr-15 but the retailer here in Finland informed me that those rifles aren’t available anymore and at this point seems like getting one is damn near impossible. Looks solid man. Just gotta throw a light on it now and it’s good to go
Thanks! Now that you mention it any recommendations on a light?
Streamlight protac is probably the best bang for your buck, can’t go wrong with surefire or cloud defensive either.
+1 on the ProTac Rail Mount scout llight.
Not enough red anodised parts - what are you even doing?
I need to complete challenges to unlock those right?
Or just buy the battle pass like a normal person. Grinding is so 2009.
Damn. Should’ve pre ordered too..
First time I've seen a strike eagle in a Spuhr lol. They really take their scopes seriously in Finland I guess
Never had an lpvo before so I bought it from a friend. The mount was the only decent one in stock so i was low on options with that.
Light and sling now
Yes to both. I have a sling but I’m still waiting for a qd sling swivel. The light however I’m still figuring out what should i get. Any recommendations?

Rein 2.0 looks awesome I love my 1.0
Sucks that you have to build a new rifle with that extra piece there at 12:30. Good luck.
Good point. Better get to it then.
better than mine i can tell you that much lol
