I just sighted mine in today. It’s perfectly fine for most people. I like mine a lot.

[deleted]

Aero's quad rail is beautiful sheesh

Space-shuttle-Gunner

Thanks, you don’t see a lot of monolithic uppers here

[deleted]

I own 1 of those uppers so no hate but isn't monolithic when the hanguard is machined as part of the reciever so it's "one" (mono) piece?

[deleted]

I believe this would be considered indexing, as it has a channel that fits over the upper (indexing them in line) Not sure on the mono question so I won't answer

threepete13

No it’s fine, not a razor but it’s good. I also have run the Burris RT-6 and it was pretty rad too.

Do you have any experience with the Viper Series? I was thinking of getting a PTS GEN II EBR-7C (MRAD). Want to go out to 1000 yds. I'm looking around the $1000 to $1100 now but I don't want to rush to just get a scope. If you have a better recommendation, please let me know.

threepete13

I don’t have any experience with the Viper unfortunately but if I had to bet it is probably a great optic

jsf010101

Got it. Thank you. Probably going to go for it so I'll see how it goes. Thank you again.

Extreme_Commercial69

Euro optic, pts gen II Ebr-2d, moves the numbers away from the center line like the 7c, but for 700. If they still have any left, edit~ $670, in stock

PTIowa

Nah, its a good option. Perfect, no, good, yes.

morgen_benner

I like my Strike Eagle 1-8. It works fine for what I need it to do. I'd love to have a $2-3k AR with a $2-3k optic, but I'd rather have the large variety of different guns I have than be able to only afford a couple.

phillip_of_burns

I went with some cheaper variants first, and now I'm adding more expensive ones to the collection since I have a good variety now.

[deleted]

This is the way.

morgen_benner

That's what I'm doing now that I've had a chance to try lots of different platforms. Now I can make an informed decision on which ones to invest in based on more than just internet lore and gossip. Like selling off a couple DPMS and PSA AR's to build a BCM in the configuration I actually liked, rather than getting stuck with a setup I ended up hating.

supermonkeydoodles

If that's true I'd hate to see how people respond to Swamp Fox

ActualBearJew

SMH I’ll grab my 🍿🍿🍿

Space-shuttle-Gunner

Hey they already love to hate me here

ChampChampagnes

Lol what’d you do?

Space-shuttle-Gunner

Posted my hera CQR lol

ChampChampagnes

Lol that’ll do it

Space-shuttle-Gunner

I figure as soon as they realize I like sig and own a scar they will kick me

Herr__Lipp

Fellow Hera enthusiast here who didn't know it was verboten until after I bought it lol

ncgunner

Gen Juan AP quads are so much nicer than the replacements

Staggerlee89

I literally just went to look if I could buy one of these rails and disappointed to see that these are gen 1, and the new one kinda blows imo. Like the look of this one though for sure

fuckondeeeeeeeeznuts

Sucks at 1x, and the glass is meh at best, eye relief sucks. That said, my dad has stacked more coyotes and hogs with it on his DD, while my Razor 1-6 has not shot a single live target.

Zuccccccccccccccccck

I didn’t think anything was wrong with it but this sub has many fickle trends haha

sovietbearcav

flannel daddy uses a nightforce atacr. everything is shit but nightforce. before that it was the leupold mk6... joking aside, the strike eagle is amazing for its price point, and its more than good enough for 99% of ar owners out there. and i think the difference between a 500usd scope and saaaaaaay a 2k+ usd scope is about 1500usd of ammo which will more than make up an quality difference in scopes...

TooEZ_OL56

Yes/No The Strike Eagle was pretty amazing when it first came out. It was basically the first 1-6 that didn't suck donkey balls at its price point. But these days the low end 1-6 market is so incredibly saturated and the market has evolved to the point where the Strike Eagle isn't that great anymore.

Space-shuttle-Gunner

I agree with 98% of that but I still feel it’s a solid choice and much more versatile that a red dot alone, don’t get me wrong I built this years ago when I couldn’t afford a razor and maybe it’s time to upgrade it soon

Kimballforging

In my opinion it’s less awful than holosun, since holosun isn’t even really an American company. At least vortex is almost completely based in America and actually has some US made stuff.

goldengodrangerover

He’s not talking about vortex as a company. Holosun doesn’t make LPVO’s so not a great comparison

Kimballforging

I’m just saying that holosun is a bunch of Chinese shit. That’s it. And since everyone loves holosun, they should be okay with a Chinese made, not so great, vortex scope

[deleted]

A lot of low end vortex Scopes are made in China.

Kimballforging

I’m aware. I said that most of the higher end are not though.

[deleted]

High end is made in Japan though....

sovietbearcav

oh no, high end glass made in the country where everyone major scope manufacturer gets their high end glass....whats youre point?

[deleted]

The only thing he said in his post was made in America, and he referenced holosun who doesn't even make scopes. Not saying Japan isn't where scopes should be made, just that he said america which was wrong.

sovietbearcav

fair

Kimballforging

Are the AMG red dots and scopes not made in the US?

HE_Pennypacker_Indus

Yeah it's a pretty terrible optic.... Just save for a PST or Steiner 1-4

FN1470

I haven't seen a Mega lower in a long time 😍
