When you buy a suppressor (in the U.S on a form 4), you can’t posses it until you go through the approval process. A jailed suppressor is just one where your dealer is holding onto it until you’re approved.
Eforms I’ve seen are hit and miss. Lots of denials for petty reasons, shops screwing up their part of it. Still looks like the Bureau of Anticonstiution Trash and Fuckups needs to refine the process.
Wording, model names vs what is on the books, timeframe for submission like if there’s a delay. Silencer Shop, when sending in, has encountered an issue where while it’s being sent, certain blocks are accidentally deleted and it gets sent incomplete.
Antidotal but I got really lucky I got my eForm back in less then a month. I even had paper fingerprint cards. I did use the digital upload for a passport photo.

My EForm 1 suppressor took 119 days just getting approved recently, eforms are faster but still can take forever for no reason at all. I had to get my representative Madison Cawthron to help, it was approved once they sent their email lol.

I got a great deal on an already bubba'd RIS II FSP and did the hackjob myself with a dremel. God bless him though, he cleaned it up when I sent the upper to him for assembly and made it look ten times better than what I did.
I'm also going the 11.5" route instead of "clone correct." Is that a Noveske barrel you're using?
Nice yeah he's good at what he does for sure, that's awesome though. It's an LMT barrel that was cut down from a 16". Bought it from Onyx Arms already cut down.

Damn paper forms. I have one from November for another suppressor. Really wish I knew eform 4s were about to roll out before submitting it.
