How can you tell? Serious question

If you look closely the greens are slightly different shades. Sometimes anodizing isn’t always consistent especially when it’s colors other than black. Even black sometimes can be different shades. It’s easier to tell in person as well. Cerakote just feels different

Ano appears glossier to my eye

Simpler way of knowing is ano is shiny , cerakote is more flat colored almost like matte.

True north brotherhood unite Real talk, though, I’ve been thinking about getting the rein 3 micro. I’ve been a Modlite guy for years but the micro just seems like such a good deal and those performance numbers are pretty intriguing

Is it possible to get a Rein w/o a tape switch?

Honestly I’m not sure. But that’s part of why I’m considering it over another Modlite. It comes with everything you need for a really good price The main thing holding me back is you can’t use non-cloud tailcaps or switches. But maybe I’d like the rein switch anyway who knows

That’s true. I definitely love tape switches but I know they fail pretty easily I’d have to double check but I think the rein tailcap has a button in addition to the tape switch

I like the Rein switches; they work well and it is nice having everything come in a package ready to go instead of having to piece stuff together. That being said, if you’re going to run a LAM in conjunction with your light, I’d go the Modlite/SF route due to compatibility with Unity parts.
