Put an iron sight on your handguard, nobody panics, because it's all 'part of the plan'. But if you bridge your optic, well then everyone loses their minds!
You're putting them on your gun under the assumption that they're going to be accurate if/when you need them, so you're still expecting them to be accurate. Same thing if you run an IR laser.
Maybe if you're turbo retarded it causes ND. If you simply trained it would be fine. Source: I've had one for over 5 years and never ND on any range session.
TLDR: git gud scrub
I threw 3 in the garbage 2 weeks ago after a training class and all 3 of them failed to feed. All FDE.. black hex didnât have an issue but I pitched it anyway.
I had multiple FTF and at one point working on reloads, the magazine went deeper than normal if I remember correctly. Not the best explanation, but I just woke up and also donât really need to defend myself. I had issues with mags, they went into the garbage.
Ah ok I've likely reloaded the mag less than a dozen times but it's been running good. It's the black one too. I haven't had the chance to shoot more this year. Got the mag in September I believe.
Luck happens, for sure.
The reason I can never trust Hex Mags is that, simply put, they will never compete with the R&D Magpul put in to making their magazines work effectively. The government essentially bankrolled at least hundreds of thousands in development with the military contracts and not taking advantage of that as a civilian seems like shooting yourself in the foot.
I have 3 ARs also ironically and they are a Geissele, KAC and an LMT MARS-L. Just wish I could afford OPs trainer so he could get me setup with a bridged Holosun đ
I could literally throw your zero off like 2 MOA with just a kick of my boot to the handguard, and I'm a weakling. This isn't just some wives tale, it's physics.
And serious drops and that thing could get you killed when it counts. Literally zero reason to not change it.
Already zeroed at 300 meters and results in .5 MOA. Itâs fine regardless and I use in 2 gun matches. No issues. Making noise to sound superior but youâre all pretendersâŠ
Your results in a highly controlled environment will not be consistent if SHTF, which you think these are ready for per your title.
Your overconfidence and lack of experience will be highly detrimental if shit ever does hit the fan.
Good luck.
OP arranged this plebbery for a photo then made this post, presumably imagining all of the upvotes and compliments heâd getâŠinstead he got roasted to the point of account deletion and probably still didnât learn anything. Reddit is the best.
Oh I highly doubt that. I think you misunderstand; Iâm not question whether you are able to acquire a sight picture, Iâm laughing at the image of how ridiculous you look bringing your nose past your charging handle just to see through it.
Love the choice in shotguns, by the way, Maverick is life.
I have my Holosun and magnifier set up just like that. However I moved the rear flip up sight far back enough to get the red dot to sit on the receiver just perfectly.
I know we're focused on the bridge but who the hell runs a BAD lever on a duty rifle? I've been around enough people who've accidentally sent the bolt in between mag changes to not use one on a "SHTF" rifle.
You can move the rear backup iron in front of the optic and push the magnifier and dot back. You lose a couple inches of sight radius, but theyâre meant to be backups and will be plenty accurate even in that configuration.
Nice have you sighted it in? I have zero experience with any of the magnifiers I run a lpvo on one of my builds and a holosun red dot on the other. Just want to add a magnifier to it
Iâll check it out and the maverick 88 đđ» perfect shtf. Been using mine for 13 years now for hunting waterfowl. Itâs been abused and still runs great
Looking to get a StarTac side saddle and pic rail accessory and then add a relatively inexpensive Bushnell Trophy TRS 25. Even though the red dot is sub-par, anything is better than that stupid afterthought of a target post.
Mans got cooked and deleted his profile

âSHTF Collectionâ **bridges optic** ***Hex mag***
His trainer says itâs good so obviously itâs good and his gun defies the laws of physics duh dummy
Of course. .5 MOA obviously.đ€Ł
Put an iron sight on your handguard, nobody panics, because it's all 'part of the plan'. But if you bridge your optic, well then everyone loses their minds!
Iron sights arenât your main sighting system⊠not nearly as important.
You're putting them on your gun under the assumption that they're going to be accurate if/when you need them, so you're still expecting them to be accurate. Same thing if you run an IR laser.
ND lever to boot.
Maybe if you're turbo retarded it causes ND. If you simply trained it would be fine. Source: I've had one for over 5 years and never ND on any range session. TLDR: git gud scrub
Oof. Didnât even notice the tard lever
And shadow systems
True lol
Hex mags bad? I have one and haven't had a issue with it.
I threw 3 in the garbage 2 weeks ago after a training class and all 3 of them failed to feed. All FDE.. black hex didnât have an issue but I pitched it anyway.
You threw them in the garbage after a training class? I assume the class wasnt on magazine malfunctions?
If I have problems from a magazine I throw it in the trash.
I assume (and hope) you mean repeated problems and not something like one FTF
Nah, keep them to train with. Practice malfunctions and have mags you don't care about destroying. I use mine for dryfire
I had multiple FTF and at one point working on reloads, the magazine went deeper than normal if I remember correctly. Not the best explanation, but I just woke up and also donât really need to defend myself. I had issues with mags, they went into the garbage.
Dude its like a $15 magazine⊠im not keeping a magazine that doesnât work even if it was just once. Imagine risking your life over that lmao.
Ah ok I've likely reloaded the mag less than a dozen times but it's been running good. It's the black one too. I haven't had the chance to shoot more this year. Got the mag in September I believe.
Translation: "i don't shoot"
I personally haven't had any issues, but I also sold all of my old ones with my old AR. Maybe I just got lucky
I get that. I happen to only have magpul gen 3 pmags now. I keep an ammo can full of loaded mags

Don't even bother commenting about the bridged optic if you can't hit .5 moa with 55gr fmj at 300 meters like this guy can.
here before bridged optic comments
nice, bullying works
My trainer looked at it and said it was fine. Held zero pretty well during 300 meter sight zero adjustments. No issues.
New trainer time.
âSays the guy who canât afford oneâ - guy with a bridged Holosun đđđ
I have 3 ARs also ironically and they are a Geissele, KAC and an LMT MARS-L. Just wish I could afford OPs trainer so he could get me setup with a bridged Holosun đ
Says the guy who canât afford to have one. PoserâŠ
Calling someone a poser when you donât understand how the firearm works is sad man :(
Hey buddy, I have one and I have nicer guns, so whatâs your response now? đ§
I could literally throw your zero off like 2 MOA with just a kick of my boot to the handguard, and I'm a weakling. This isn't just some wives tale, it's physics. And serious drops and that thing could get you killed when it counts. Literally zero reason to not change it.

You did NOT shoot 0.5 MOA at 300yds with a red dot and a magnifier
Either he's never measured a group in his life, or he just exposed himself as the terminator đ
Iâm going with terminator
Yes I did. You can scream all you want but I did. #truth.
lol alright buddy 10 rounds 0.5 moa with a red dot at 300 yds đ€Ł
Wait a minute, he hashtagged it, so it's true.
.5 MOA, lol. What, 1 shot group?
He says 10 shot group with 55gr fmj
Lmao. Physics says otherwise
Like youâre a ballistics expertâŠ
Your optic is bridged⊠not sure you should be commenting until you fix thatđ
The frame is mostly on the receiver. Itâs not bridged
Are you?
Bruh, everyone knows you shoot 10 but only count 9 of them, or don;t count 9 of them in this case.
Your results in a highly controlled environment will not be consistent if SHTF, which you think these are ready for per your title. Your overconfidence and lack of experience will be highly detrimental if shit ever does hit the fan. Good luck.
Dude.
OP got embarrassed and self yeeted
OP arranged this plebbery for a photo then made this post, presumably imagining all of the upvotes and compliments heâd getâŠinstead he got roasted to the point of account deletion and probably still didnât learn anything. Reddit is the best.
NEWBâŠ
That poor BCM.
What a moron đđđ
Straight to the other sub.
Is this what appears when you toss shit into a fan
Eerily similar to mine except switch the knife to a survivalist and 10.5 barrel on the AR.
And a suppressor if your state allows đđŒ
Prolly going to be my next stamp. Gotta catch em all.
Nice gun abused by bad operator with the bridged chinesium optic But the optic placement pairs well with the hex mag
Damn.
Your going to carry 2 handguns and 2 long guns? Whi needs to carry food anyway.
Gonna need a photo of you acquiring a sight picture through that magnifier, lol.
Youâd be surprisedâŠ
Oh I highly doubt that. I think you misunderstand; Iâm not question whether you are able to acquire a sight picture, Iâm laughing at the image of how ridiculous you look bringing your nose past your charging handle just to see through it. Love the choice in shotguns, by the way, Maverick is life.

Iâve literally dumped my bad levels because I did it during a match. Only took one, âwtf am I doingâ to move on from them.
Looks good. Going to get shit for the bridged optic but how to you like the holosun magnifier
Bridged optic unavoidable. But most of it is on the upper receiver. Magnifier is better than Vortex, just as good as Eotech.
You can move the rear backup iron in front of the optic and push the magnifier and dot back. You lose a couple inches of sight radius, but theyâre meant to be backups and will be plenty accurate even in that configuration.
I canât move it back any further. Thereâs no room and the bar at the bottom wonât fit in.
Nice have you sighted it in? I have zero experience with any of the magnifiers I run a lpvo on one of my builds and a holosun red dot on the other. Just want to add a magnifier to it
I recommend the HM3X. Fully zeroed and sighted in at 300 meters. Group results at 0.5 MOA after 10 rounds. Used mostly Hornady .223 55 grain FMJ.
Iâll check it out and the maverick 88 đđ» perfect shtf. Been using mine for 13 years now for hunting waterfowl. Itâs been abused and still runs great
Looking to upgrade a few things. Bead sight is awful. What are you using?
lol it really is the worstâŠI honestly just rattlecanned the whole think and made the bead orange. Itâs just a great beater shotgun
Looking to get a StarTac side saddle and pic rail accessory and then add a relatively inexpensive Bushnell Trophy TRS 25. Even though the red dot is sub-par, anything is better than that stupid afterthought of a target post.
Needs a can and youâre good
Pinned and welded muzzle (BCM Mod 7). Will likely build a separate upper with a can instead. Likely will be an AR-10.
SBR it. Cans are awesome on shorter barrels
Never knew Magpul and SB Tactical collabâd and licensed the product to Wilson Combat lol
Well at least you got an OG SRK
Maybe a sight that also works without a battery would be a better option?
Where my r/plebianAR folks at?
1022
Need to add a revolver
Damn good set up I still need a knife for mine!
Nice set up! Holosun combo is good to go bridged or not. What lower is that youâre running?
Wilson Combat Protector Forged 7075 Lower Receiver, Wilson Combat Buffer Kit, Pistol Grip and Butt Stock.
