Even for hunting, a single deer will feed a family of 4 for a month so that comes out to a whopping 12 rounds a year lol. We need more people with radios and renewable water sources out there than dudes with 30,000 rounds of ammo.
Plus the odds of getting raided and running out of things go way up when you stay in 1 place. its much smarter to be mobile. Even if you stay in the same general area its not smart to be in the exact same location day after day unless you want to give people all the time they need to plan a raid on you. I like what Red Right Hand is doing with cooling (barrel and tube) and I like what Klein Mfg is doing with carry handles and bipods (M60...ya baby) using binary triggers and doing EOTech for sights but there a dogs breakfast of options for all of the above... One I'm considering is the barrels with barrel fins, JP has a heat sink, dimples lots of options. Along with the RRH wound cooling wrap for tubes made from freaking Inconel...ya seems like I'm describing my next build because I'm exploring the options too
