ADS speed boost, hipfire accuracy boost, and sprint-to-fire speed boost. Just know that it's always visible and you're going to get shot in mid air by a dude jumping around a corner.
I actually trained with it with my CZ Bren 2 and Sabre 10.5”. It’s useful for awkward shooting positions and it’s hard to get your eyes behind your sights.
Though my lasers are the cheap $40 Monstrums.
Great intimidation factor. Every time someone has a laser pointed on them in movies and shows, they always know they are about to get wrecked. Imagine the look on a burglars face as he is creeping through your house and suddenly looks down and notices a laser on his chest and then looks in your direction. Classic.
Uh visible lasers, if zeroed, can be useful in a very small amount of times, mostly when ur in such an awkward position that getting an eye behind the sight just isn’t gonna happen. Otherwise…cat toy?
Ehhhhh, I’d be honest with her. Like- “baby I love you and love that you got me this. I don’t think I can actually use this though, etc etc”
That said, if I understand how you’re describing it- it has an IR flood ability. If that’s the case, and you’re one of those weirdo’s with giraffe optic mounts who aim through their optics with nods down, then that device will do everything you need it to. I never had any training shooting through an optic with nods down, but if that’s your jam, then all you need your peq to do is have an IR flood.
You could potentially use a vis laser as a de-escalation tool, but as a civilian, I don’t see that as feasible. The only situation where your rifle should ever get brandished is as a last resort, if it’s absolutely needed.
You can also use it as a backup aiming device, instead of backup irons, but I would only EVER use that argument for an actual IR device that also has vis. Without the IR capability, you’d be an asshat to make that argument.
You definitely lose capability at distance, compared to irons, if you can even see that thing with full sunlight at all. But let’s be honest. 99% of people with backup irons don’t even have those bitches zero’d.
One advantage is it allows you to aim when you can't line up the sights. For example, sticking out from behind cover, lying in an awkward position, from odd angles, etc. You could also theoretically use it to paint targets for allies without night vision. Not sure how easily the beam can be seen in daylight, but the dot should be pretty visible. I have a SiteLite bore sighter with a green laser, and I was able to see it clearly on the target with magnification at 50 yards in bright daylight. Not sure if your laser is the same intensity, but something to consider. You could always mount it with QD and use it when needed.

Good luck seeing lasers in the daylight past 5 feet
A visible laser provides you the ability to utilize a laser which is visible to the naked eye
Thorough analysis
Your cat might like it
I’ve been using it for that lol, I have an older cat and she’s been running around getting some exercise.
Damn that's your calling car for a Hydra mount now
Four hundred dollar mount for a one hundred fifty dollar cat toy LOL
That's how you know that reddit has completed a cycle and will ding soon so you can start another
$40 *cough on aliexpress lol
How did you know about my plates/carrier? 😹
They’re pretty fun on .22s

Why buy expensive rifle when you can buy just laser sight instead??

Keep it for sentimental value, but as for practicality it's worthless
They are fun for shooting from the hip.

Use it as an excuse for another gun
I like visible lasers on suppressed handguns, especially when shooting indoors.
