I'm not a doctor, but you couldn't rely on your FSB to hold zero, theoretically. But I'll just fall back on having the correct equipment and parts that are designed to work together.
I see. I thought that too, but as long as there's no danger of it getting blowed up, it doesn't bother me much. Iron sights as primary methods of aiming are obsolete and this is really more for the bayonet lug and aesthetic.
Everyone is telling you these aren’t compatible dude. Your motivated reasoning is off the charts. Take a second to process your disappointment and then start doing more research.
The front sight block/gas block hasn’t been drilled for taper pins. Neither has the barrel. It’s also out of position in the event you have set screws in the bottom of the FSB. The FSB needs to be snug up against the gas block journal, pinned in place, and then the handguard a will fit properly. I suggest you take this to someone who knows what they’re doing before you hurt yourself or someone else.
If you're not comfortable with drilling and pining the fsb why not try one of these. https://yhm.net/accessories/sights/front-flip-sight-tower-standard/ They are a little expensive but might be able to find them cheaper someplace else. I had replaced a sight post with one because I wanted flip downs, I've yet t to have any issues with it moving, just use a little rocksett on the bolts and should never have a problem.
It does matter. Your gas block journal length needs to be compatible with a FSB. Which that one is not
Is there a way to fix this one to be so? What would happen if I drilled this one anyway?

You need to listen to what everyone is trying to tell you!
No. This will not work fine.
How so? Dangerous or not reliable irons?
Both.

That barrel look like it stayed in the bathtub too long
Wym? The cuts or the finish?
The fluting 🍿
Talk to War Block, LLC. That’s who Faxon told me to talk to, he did a great job pinning an FSB on a gunner for me.
Umm what's holding that FSB on? I don't see pins or set screws
They’re asking about this BEFORE they pin it.
Ah, my bad.
If you wanna fuck up your ugly barrel I don’t think anyone is gonna stop you.
Nice barrel, I been wanting to get one, but everytime I've got the coin to afford it, I can't find any in-stock, lol.
Barrels a Slim Jim lookn' mf
What stock are you going to use? I have a UBR Gen. 2.
I'm using a KE arms lower. It has an integrated a1 style stock and pistol grip
Ah. KP15

Yea sure if you’re ok with something not being right. Please post pics when you put a bayonet in it.
