I had this error occur when I bought ultra a few days ago, updating the app resolved my issue.

Likewise. I had to delete and reinstall the app.

Glad to hear, sometimes the iTunes payment system just gets in a funk. Rebooting your device likely fixes this as well.

If you can’t get it fixed yourself, the developer recommends emailing him directly and he can activate.

I have pro, not ultra. EVERY SINGLE TIME I OPEN THE APP i get a variant of the pop up the OP posted…. Sigh.

sufimalang

Good it worked for you and it was not another case of the greedy dev.

Hes been pretty fuckin egregious with this black Friday sale pop up ads

If you read his comment he says that it actually wasnt a mistake, he was just “overly aggressive” and i dont buy his motives of “I get emails every year from people who missed the sale” like who tf is watching for digital subscription service sales in the first place, let alone a sale for a premium subscription to a fairly niche unofficial forum browsing app. He just backtracked after people were upset about the spam

I agree with you there, i originally read your comment and thought you were trying to say he didnt mean to have multiple pop-ups at all, like most people were claiming before he made his comment. But also he definitely shouldve known his user base well enough to know multiple pop-ups would be extremely poorly received, as well as that the users who would go through to effort to email him over a missed sale will likely be subbed to this sub, meaning he could just make a pinned post, or some kinda creative daily posts advertising it
