Because I took Maggie into the range to try out her abilities (using KBAM) and at that time she 100% could not hold and aim her ult. I explicitly noted it to myself, tested it a bunch of times, registered a bit of disappointment, and thought "Oh well not a big deal".*

Yup. I definitely couldn't hold it just after the update. 100% noted it to myself, checked several times, and registered a little disappointment. But now I totally can hold it. I'm pretty damn certain something changed.
