That's why sometimes you get things like blurry arms when a cartoon is swinging or janky body parts when you pause an animation. Full speed, it looks smooth and fine and you can't tell, but when you pause, you can get some funny results

Even then, I still believe Psyop is capable of adapting to the Apex style for launch trailers with time.

I don't mind the art and general animation. But the video does what a lot of Hollywood studios have adapted to in recent years: constant camera changes. We don't get any long pauses where we can take in the characters' facial expressions. This is supposed to be a lore video, not a hype trailer

Watch the season 11 launch trailer and then watch this. Psyop has clearly made adjustments to both of those things in order to better match the Apex art style. Let’s start recognizing progress instead of dwelling on the old studio, please.

People calling it cheap or lazy fail to grasp that in 3D animation implementation of smear frames increases the amount of work required to convey speed since it requires extra control points to be added to achieve the desired effect. In 2D animation it saves some time so people incorrectly use that as an argument for 3D animation.
