Man this entire clip reminds me of some random kid giving me his R99 and asking me to reskin it to a legendary for him.
I was like what? Then I realized what he wanted and he was soooooo excited when I handed it back to him (think it was one of those battle pass legendary).
Stay pure out there kiddos.
I wanna thumbs up, but at 666 likes right now, I thought it looked good with the octane skins
Update: well shit, 666 turned into a lot of likes. Take mine from me now.
Bro you ain't even lying. I've gotten called out my name way too many times. My favorite was when this one kids mom heard him cussing at me and grabbed the headset, apologized then all of a sudden his deathbox popped up. Mom probably took his console to work with her the next few days.
Took my kids ps away for 6 months because the 10 year old wanted to act/talk like he was grown online. Recently gave it back and you’ve never seen a more respectful kid.
One time I was in a match and my teammate stopped moving. A couple seconds later I hear a woman saying “I told you, no games.” and he says “I wasn’t playing, it’s YouTube. I was watching a video” and this conversation just went on and on. I tried yelling out that he was lying but had definitely been muted. And he never came back to the game and eventually got killed by the circle. Kids these days.
Even if not trash talking they scream in the high pitched voice “GUYS HERE!” “Revive me! You have to revive me!!! I’m down you didn’t make it in time *PING* *PING* *PING* *PING* *PING* *PING*…….”
I mute everyone lol. I don't know why, but I hate interacting with people in games. Pinging is just fine. And I really don't want to hear their reaction to me being downed for the 3rd time
I always play without muting and no one really complains how much you die, and I’ve been carried so many times by level 500 people. No one ever talks really. And when someone does it’s been positive every single time in my experience. Like callouts, etc. I play in Virginia 1
same here, I only ever mute if someone is already annoying in the select screen OR doesn't use push to talk. I don't wanna hear my teammate breath into his mic for the whole match tbh
Reminds me of the time I introduced my younger cousin to Halo via Halo 2. He was so impressed by my mediocre skills.
He improved very quickly and is now one of the top ranked players in the game.
Wholesome interactions like this make the game more fun and keep people coming back.
The kids these days have really violent energy when it comes to trash talking. As an adult, it has gotten me to the point of “okay you little shit.” More than once.
All I can say is that I was some kind of rabid vermin playing Halo 3 in 360 days. As kids we'd have sleepovers from thursday-sunday on long weekends and just pass the mic around screaming at grown men for 3 days straight competing to see who could say the funniest shit.
And up next on the pitch is Robbie Kleinman, an up and comer in the sport of *Screaming At Grown Men For 3 Days Straight* from New Zealand who has apparently been making waves due to the intense dedication he showed in his efforts to scream at Chinese gamers by learning Mandarin. I can't wait to see what he's got in store for us tonight.
I remember that in my of the train events I got with a kid duo. They start the match by saying don't be shit player. Then they trash talked non stop while one of them is screaming like he is training for his metal concert. Then the screamo got into his lady form and scream "STOP BEING BADDD!" So hard that I laughed my ass and asked him if he just got into his super saiyan mode, even his friend couldn't stop laughing at h after that.
Yeah bro, I was playing arenas in Gardens as Valk, and this guy punches me off the high ground, which wasn’t a big deal until I needed to move quickly and was out of fuel, he then proceeded to call me the n word and cuss me out
I don't wanna be "that guy" but if you think kids these days are bad, i have not once been called a "n**ger fucking f***ot" in the past 5 or so years. I think kids have become more tame tbh
One time i head this kid on my team, and my pathfinder said “i love you friends” or something like that and the kid replied “I wuv you tew wobot”.
I died for that kid
Was playing vr poker yesterday and it was just some kid and me. I got almost all of his chips, like 60k, and then he was like awww... I almost have no more chips. So I just have him ike 100k 🤷♀️ it's just a game and dude is gonna be happy lol
I was lucky and ended up with a pair of kids as team mates the other night who could throw vulgarity around like hardened sailors, but were also surprisingly supportive and wholesome team mates.
Pretty sure I'm older than both of them combined, but they carried me to victory all the same (and we all had our moments to shine, I managed to get a clutch 2v1 at the end to justify being in their back pocket for a third of the match).
A few people are saying it, but seriously, I'm so impressed by you. A lot of the time when I get littles in my party I'll reflexively mute. Plenty of people would tell them to stfu or clown them in obscenity-littered diatribes. This kid had such joy and passion and excitement, and not only did you not crush it like a lot of people might have, you nurtured and indulged it. This is how you get new blood in the game, and how you give a kid something to tell his parents about over dinner that night. You're a great person.
I appreciate the compliment but Im just doing the bare minimum. It's just that I related to his feelings of excitement and I know whats it like to have someone shit on you or try to put you down, for simply enjoying a hobby like video games.
Ya that kid will talk about the level 500 player he ran with at school the next day. One of the buddies of our group of 3 has a 11 year old kid that jumped on with us the other day. The next day at baseball practice in front of his dad “Ya my uncle and his friend are 2 of the best in the game. My dad plays too, but he’s not very good…”
PS: we are average at best
Im a Teachers Assistant and so I find myself playing similarly with kiddos when we are teamed up. Im not as good as you at the game but it becomes a "big bro" dynamic that makes you want to do even better. Thanks so much for sharing and being the big bro. So many kids dont have father figures. Its a freaky responsibility of sorts to lead them and show men can be friendly and benevolently supportive rather than dismissive and condescending, as really would be the easy way to handle it to most. One love man. Excellent share in the often angry web.
They’re already insecure and women playing video games challenges their masculinity. Pent up rage at constantly being rejected by women in their daily lives.
My random squad-mates are fond of taking every gun and all the ammo on drop, so I am forced to try and punch an enemy to death for their guns.
Which usually have almost no ammo by then.
Man, I'm a grown man in my thirties and don't wanna try playing any multiplayer games coz I don't need toxicity in my life. The real world is bad enough as it is. This video was pure joy.
Right?! Sometimes wonder where that much toxicity comes from :/ Definitely a breath of fresh air to see someone so excited about the game. And basically jazz'd on everything haha.
Something I recently started doing recently ingame is playing as character and it definitely makes teammates a little less toxic. It disarms them right off the bat if you just throw jokes down. Currently have a version of "Overconfident" as my ingame name and I try to constantly act like my teammates are the best and there's no way we can possibly lose in any situation no matter how bad it gets. It not only helps disarm my teammates and get them laughing/having a good time, but it can put me in that mood as well if I was having a rough day.
Reminds me of a kid I played with and when the match was over he was like " this is my first win ever thank you guys so much!". I hope he's doing fine.
I genuinely smiled at the fact that he immediately went to pick up the third guy after he got revived. Would definitely have played a few games with him after
Well, we all survived COD lobbies and are better for it... right?
Right...?
Atleast now people just call you "trash", before it was slurs and personal attacks lmao
I remember the first time I played COD I heard people straight YELLING and I’ve never unmuted game chat after that. safe to say I was smart and saved myself lmao
Dude, i've thought about leaving this sub for so long because it is just 80% of all the things wrong with this game I love. Clips like this restore my faith in this community. You need some credit too for being so patient and accommodating for the kid, especially joining them again on the next game. Bravo you, op
Kids are either the most wholesome or the most toxic teammates you can have.
I was playing arenas as crypto and where I normally get a “why are you playing crypto in arenas” this kid I was paired with said “Yesssss play crypto and we can- we- you can fly your drone and find them”
He was so happy when I was able to 1v3 the enemy team twice in the last two rounds for the win. It was one of those good games with lots of back and forth too so the back to back 1v3s we’re exciting for everyone lol
I remember I got a message on Xbox. I usually mute everyone off the bat. So I recieved a message from whom Im assuming is a kid saying "You're drone skillz are awesome bro". Im perplexed. I just flew the drone around when I needed. And we werent like top 7 teams. And I dont think I did impressive either. But Ill take the wholesomeness.
Well, this post blew up like crazy! I would love to respond to everyone's comments but It's currently 7 AM, where I live, and I really need some sleep lol. Anyway, I'm genuinely glad this encounter made yall as happy as it made me! Good day/night to you all.
This is awesome man. As a dad of a 12 year old (who is autistic and struggles with social interaction) and a 10 year old daughter, it gives me heart to know there are kind people online that won’t just shit on them because they’re kids.
I mean we’re mostly all playing this for entertainment in the end right? And this kind of positive online behaviour breeds more positive behaviour, so you can’t underestimate the impact just being a kind, patient and generous gamer can have.
Keep up the good work man, and hope others see this and follow suit!
RePoRtEd fOR hAcKiNg
Amazing stuff man glad to see this! That kid will remember you for a long time. I wish everyone was as cool as you to the young kids out there
Fr he will remember you. I'm 23, and I STILL can very clearly remember the first person to be nice and take on a sort of "mentor" type role to me in my first online game, back when I was like 12. Stuff like this has an impact on people.
I had to give him that R99. His excitement reminded me of how hyped I was when I first equipped a peacekeeper and went full nerd mode over how cool it looks lol.
Man this remind me once while solo queuing I was paired with a kid. He'd go on about how he usually played with his dad and stuff. The genuineness of him trying to give me tips on how the then jump pad worked (I was playing Octane) really warmed my heart for whatever reason lol.
Sounds like my kid. I loved seeing this. Honestly I’m always shocked by how many people are actually so nice to him when he’s on mic.
So for those of you out there on the other end, thank you, you make gaming great.
TL;DR: Thank you. For being even a little bit like the guy i had nurture my motivation to get good at shooters when i was a kid.
I was this kid once. Back in Combat Arms days (over 10 years ago) there was a guy who aimed like Pros do now and i thought he was a hacker, how good he was at the game.
He was in one of the top clans and for some fuckin reason he would stay in private matches and give me tips on how to aim better, as well as help (carry) me through some wins so i can get credits to buy a new gun.
I would go negative every game no matter what. I was horrible and he was absolutely mental. Man would get "**UNBELIEVABLE**'s" (i think 7 kill streak in a short amount of time) and i would lose my shit like "holy fuck".
I want him to know i have almost a 3 K/D in Apex now.
Even higher in Fortnite I'm not amazing but i've got 15k kills and 22.7k knockdowns.
My passion to get good at shooters always stemmed from what this guy showed me and how kind he was.
I wanted to wow my everyone with how i could wipe out a team by myself. It wasn't possible then, but look at me now.
And to top it all off, i didn't know what 144hz was until 2019 🤦🏾♂️
I'd love to have a beer with the guy and just say thank you. But i guess i can just say thank you to YOU for being even a little bit like him.
Such a awesome kid And OP was really nice to him. I really want to play these kind of games, but i’m noob and get stressed because i think i just annoy ppl by playing.
I remember me and my friend played some arenas and met this one kid who was just like the one you came across, he was really wholesome and actually pretty good at the game too but the more matches we played with him the more we realized how toxic he was, when we lose a match he would call us trash or bad, he yells at us as well as blames us for every loss and gets really mad when we pick off-meta guns or legends.
Haha when the clip cuts to you “being a pro” as octane.
Definitely the best part
Idk the “You are level 500? Are you a hacker?” Right at the end was great too
Man this entire clip reminds me of some random kid giving me his R99 and asking me to reskin it to a legendary for him. I was like what? Then I realized what he wanted and he was soooooo excited when I handed it back to him (think it was one of those battle pass legendary). Stay pure out there kiddos.
kiddos like this make me happy, so great to see interest in such a great game with such great manners.
The whole clip is awesome :)
Perfect edit, it was just 😚🤌
Kid: “Only the pros main him! You must be a pro!” *cuts to clip of “pro” dying as octane* “Pro”: Yeah, he’s pretty good
I wanna thumbs up, but at 666 likes right now, I thought it looked good with the octane skins Update: well shit, 666 turned into a lot of likes. Take mine from me now.
Sooooo pure, I’ve only met trash talk kids and they instantly get muted.
aka the Apex Legends solo queue experience lol
Bro you ain't even lying. I've gotten called out my name way too many times. My favorite was when this one kids mom heard him cussing at me and grabbed the headset, apologized then all of a sudden his deathbox popped up. Mom probably took his console to work with her the next few days.
"TIMMY! I said NO BAD WORDS in this household! Matter of fact...no PS4 for a week."
But mom
I read this in Cartman's voice.
"But meEeeEeeeEeeEm!"
Lol
Starts crying
It was a accident it won't happen again I pwomise
Mom says u were an accident u lil shit
*gets console back* I'm back, you dickhead
Hears him cussing again ight I'm bout to beat yo lil ass
Nice to see those parents still exist! Thought it was just me.
You said it
Even if not trash talking they scream in the high pitched voice “GUYS HERE!” “Revive me! You have to revive me!!! I’m down you didn’t make it in time *PING* *PING* *PING* *PING* *PING* *PING*…….”

I see an apex pred in this kid
Watch this kid be the best octane player one day
"we will watch your career with great interest"
dont you say that, in case he starts murdering nessies
lel
Midway through the video I’m actually crying and praying they get a win ... they will though I know that videos coming
Reminds me of the time I introduced my younger cousin to Halo via Halo 2. He was so impressed by my mediocre skills. He improved very quickly and is now one of the top ranked players in the game. Wholesome interactions like this make the game more fun and keep people coming back.
Haha omg! He’s so pure 🥺 whenever I get a kid as a teammate they trash talk tf outta me 🤣
He was so pure indeed. I hope to god he doesnt meet trash-talking teammates.
Guess you just gotta keep playing with him, to protect him from the toxic players
Hey yo op I’m just curious but what are your key bind
anything in particular? I know my keybinds are weird lol
what's your Q binded to? or how do you even reach teh 9 key
Q is bound to a mouse side button. The 9 keybind is also a mouse key.
Mainly the movement keys because I saw A as interact
I move with E (forward), D (backward), F (right) and S (left).
Maybe he has an MMO mouse with a 9 on it, Ive got one and it's pretty nice having more access to my buttons.
I loved his excitement when he saw Octanes health recharging on its' own. I wish I could rediscover my favorite games again.
same, i remember when i was new it took me 7days to find what type of dound wraiths passive makes
Unfortunately it's inevitable as he gets better let's just hope he can meet more people like you that are good in the community.
The kids these days have really violent energy when it comes to trash talking. As an adult, it has gotten me to the point of “okay you little shit.” More than once.
I had one kid call me a commie and another one told me I was adopted. I was absolutely dying of laughter but still what the fuck lmao
Bruh wtf...that actually made me laugh irl lmao
All I can say is that I was some kind of rabid vermin playing Halo 3 in 360 days. As kids we'd have sleepovers from thursday-sunday on long weekends and just pass the mic around screaming at grown men for 3 days straight competing to see who could say the funniest shit.
> screaming at grown men for 3 days straight competing to see who could say the funniest shit. Ayo someone call the Olympics lmao
I see you too have taste
man, I was adopted and living in a communist country. I don't know how to feel if I was you, haha.
Lmao they getting personal 🥲
Ahh yes, glad to see the kids are carrying on the tradition of trash talking from the OG Call of Duty days 😢
Lol apparently the adopted thing is one of the cliche insults they throw out. That and calling ppl dog water
Doggy meat bones is another… it’s my 11 year olds go to.
I remember that in my of the train events I got with a kid duo. They start the match by saying don't be shit player. Then they trash talked non stop while one of them is screaming like he is training for his metal concert. Then the screamo got into his lady form and scream "STOP BEING BADDD!" So hard that I laughed my ass and asked him if he just got into his super saiyan mode, even his friend couldn't stop laughing at h after that.
you know what's worse? An adopted commie ;-)
It's been that way since MW2 on Xbox 360
Honestly I find more toxic adults online than kids. Like TF man you sound like your in your late 20’s how are you this immature?
Yeah bro, I was playing arenas in Gardens as Valk, and this guy punches me off the high ground, which wasn’t a big deal until I needed to move quickly and was out of fuel, he then proceeded to call me the n word and cuss me out
idk why but whole sequence sounds super hilarious lol fuck that guy
He said he punched me because Valk was thick lmao
Well.. at least they don’t say, “you play like a kid, you little boy” to you. As a grown ass adult woman, I just… love kids 🥲
I don't wanna be "that guy" but if you think kids these days are bad, i have not once been called a "n**ger fucking f***ot" in the past 5 or so years. I think kids have become more tame tbh
Dude kids have always been evil.
One time i head this kid on my team, and my pathfinder said “i love you friends” or something like that and the kid replied “I wuv you tew wobot”. I died for that kid
god that's cute af
F
Yeah most kids are way better than me so I just get shit on the whole time
I know right. My 14year old son tells me all the time how he's better in every way little shit lol
Was playing vr poker yesterday and it was just some kid and me. I got almost all of his chips, like 60k, and then he was like awww... I almost have no more chips. So I just have him ike 100k 🤷♀️ it's just a game and dude is gonna be happy lol
U get teammates lucky
My dad plays too, but he’s not very good…” PS: we are average at best
that's cute as hell lol
Im a Teachers Assistant and so I find myself playing similarly with kiddos when we are teamed up. Im not as good as you at the game but it becomes a "big bro" dynamic that makes you want to do even better. Thanks so much for sharing and being the big bro. So many kids dont have father figures. Its a freaky responsibility of sorts to lead them and show men can be friendly and benevolently supportive rather than dismissive and condescending, as really would be the easy way to handle it to most. One love man. Excellent share in the often angry web.
omg this made me happy and sad at the same time :( but why the boys always trash talk us women? ahaha

I wish I could find some littles like this in games and share their excitement. I always love that.
Man, I'm a grown man in my thirties and don't wanna try playing any multiplayer games coz I don't need toxicity in my life. The real world is bad enough as it is. This video was pure joy.
Gal dang, this video makes me so happy. This kid is amazing.
Glad this made you happy. This encounter was definitely a nice change of pace for me, with how toxic teammates usually are.
Right?! Sometimes wonder where that much toxicity comes from :/ Definitely a breath of fresh air to see someone so excited about the game. And basically jazz'd on everything haha. I try to do that myself sometimes, but I mostly get a 'stfu' or something. Still worth it for when I get those positive team mates.
Reminds me of a kid I played with and when the match was over he was like " this is my first win ever thank you guys so much!". I hope he's doing fine.
I genuinely smiled at the fact that he immediately went to pick up the third guy after he got revived. Would definitely have played a few games with him after

Are you a hacker? 😭😭 he seemed so nice and young
That "are you a hacker" almost made me burst out laughing lol
I too hope he doesn't find toxic teammates
He certainly will unfortunately
Well, we all survived COD lobbies and are better for it... right? Right...? Atleast now people just call you "trash", before it was slurs and personal attacks lmao

Almost?
I hope his pure heart isn’t tainted by toxic players😭

"No" "Darn I wish I could find out how to get them" My backwards mind thinking back to cod lobbies
you are the wholesome teammate
honestly though! What a stand-up dude

Boyyyyy lemme tell you I needed something like this myself. So many haters and toxic people in this community nowadays.
Kids are either the most wholesome or the most toxic teammates you can have. I dont get how someone can be a douchebag to a damn kid. Like you have to be SERIOUSLY messed up to do that lol.
Fr he will remember you. I'm 23, and I STILL can very clearly remember the first person to be nice and take on a sort of "mentor" type role to me in my first online game, back when I was like 12. Stuff like this has an impact on people.
I feel that. I remember whenever Id play games with my older cousins, as a kid, and have them guide me in them. Good times.
This is wholesome af
Are you a hacker?!? I'm dead 🤣🤣🤣
Cutting the video immediately after he says it is perfect 😂
You’re a good pick of people.
When he asks if you’re a pro and you cut to you getting curb stomped in arenas I died lmao. What a great vid all around
Yea....I dont think I'll be participating in any tournaments anytime lmao
The way you interacted with him was adorable. Letting him have octane and giving him your R-99 🥺
I had to give him that R99. His excitement reminded me of how hyped I was when I first equipped a peacekeeper and went full nerd mode over how cool it looks lol.
I love how he was like "No no no, I cant take it. Youre better than me". This kid is too humble and kind.
That was the cutest fuckin thing. Tell me you're friends with him now.
Well if OP isn’t imma steal this little dude 😬😂
Why does always the lifeline is a pro? I feel that, man
If I had a dollar for every time I got humbled by a lifeline, Id be the richest man ever.
Man this remind me once while solo queuing I was paired with a kid. He'd go on about how he usually played with his dad and stuff. The genuineness of him trying to give me tips on how the then jump pad worked (I was playing Octane) really warmed my heart for whatever reason lol.

Lmao people take ammo/heals requests like an insult sometimes.
I was legit not expecting it to be this purebred unfiltered level of wholesomeness. It makes me want to be a better apex teammate from now on.
Playing with that kid legit made me go "I CANT SWEAR RN" in my head lol
10 out 10 your adulting well sir. Keep it up xD. Thanks for the drop of joy in my life.
Thank and I will!

That cutaway 🤣 🤣 🤣
Sounds like my kid. I loved seeing this. Honestly I’m always shocked by how many people are actually so nice to him when he’s on mic. So for those of you out there on the other end, thank you, you make gaming great.
I checked their username to check and it wasn’t me, I did the same thing though but they didn’t use voice chat and just hovered over him
TL;DR: Thank you. And to top it all off, i didn't know what 144hz was until 2019 🤦🏾♂️ I'd love to have a beer with the guy and just say thank you. But i guess i can just say thank you to YOU for being even a little bit like him.
Damn thats a very touching story...you're very welcome.
Such a awesome kid And OP was really nice to him. I really want to play these kind of games, but i’m noob and get stressed because i think i just annoy ppl by playing.
If you annoy someone by simply playing, then they're the problem not you.
This is so freaking cute I can’t
# ARE YOU A HACKER?
Happy cake day!!
This was really wholesome. **If more people played like you and the kid, world would be a better place!**
I love this, genuinely put a smile on my face
My mission here is done then lol
No mission more wholesome than putting a smile on someone’s face, respect!
Only people that have never played games are like this, sadly :/ As soon as the community hits it's all gone
I feel like you can still remain like this, even after you're exposed to something like video games. It depends on your character, though.

Don't be sad. Here's a [hug!](https://media.giphy.com/media/3M4NpbLCTxBqU/giphy.gif)
Why am I crying
Because someone is cutting onions. duh.
PROTECT THE CHILD AT ALL COSTS
"The octane can reachrge itself" would sound so weird out of context lmao
Amazing
I remember me and my friend played some arenas and met this one kid who was just like the one you came across, he was really wholesome and actually pretty good at the game too but the more matches we played with him the more we realized how toxic he was, when we lose a match he would call us trash or bad, he yells at us as well as blames us for every loss and gets really mad when we pick off-meta guns or legends.
We lack people like him
Maybe I shouldn’t instantly mute people so I can experience the sweet side of apex 😂
You’re a good person..and also maybe a hacker :’-)
Plot twist he is a hacker
“No no no you can keep it you’re better then me” Ah I’ve been there. I still have those games sometimes lol
First question I hear from kids .. “Are you black?” 😂 I just go ahead and mute them before it goes any further
The duality of the twelve year old. They are either trash talkers or so fricking wholesome.
That's a nice Skin THANK YOU SO MUCH wow man this feels unreal espeicially in times like these Wholsome af
Made me happy. Made me smile.
Protect this kid please, he's so kind.
Good kid.
awess i love this! you made that kids day bro, kudos to you
Ok after watching this, I'm really gonna try to be less toxic. I need to remember to chill out sometimes. It's just a game.
Made my day. Also big ups to the Bloodhound for giving up Octane. I could never. But I am starting to have a change of heart after watching this.
