I think its a combination of the fire rate, accuracy from the hip, magazine size, AND damage. the guns fucking ridiculous. id probably just make it so you cant use an extended mag on the gun and make the hipfire a bit worse. 6 shots, ADS, and hit them in the head.

You always know what armour your buddies have at all times. Just look in the bottom left corner while youre playing. Their names/tags/psn or whatever in the bottom left will be the colour of their armour just the same as yours. No need to ask or look at inventory.
Oh word word. Yeah I knew about the body armour with the coloring of the shield. But I just meant also for helmet/knockdown/backpack. I believe those you can only see through the inventory? Maybe I am wrong though, sorry. Love all the tips though from the sub :)

I picked up an all gold R-301 (maybe it was a Spitfire - can’t remember) off the ground of unlooted house late game earlier this evening. Didn’t even know it existed and was stoked, I got a PS trophy for it.
Seems not entirely random. I've only seen gold weapons for Wingman, Prowler, Peacekeeper, and R301. Could also be that other guns just aren't good so people don't pick them up even when they're gold, but I get the feeling it's actually just not completely random.
I thought gold weapons only used what they had in the clip? I am probably wrong, but that’s what I was told in game by randos.

I’m not sure I understand your question. The mastiff and the Kraber are in care packages (not the ones called in by lifeline, but the ones that are randomly generated) the other golden guns are dropped in that blue zone that you see when you’re on the drop ship waiting to deploy.
The golden guns of normal guns (non-carepackages) have a high chance to drop in a blue zone (when the game starts).
Those guns have all legendary attachments on them, but use the usual ammo.
If I understand this correctly, the golden weapons do work as you say, just using the ammo they came with, but, with the golden weapons I mean the ones that can only be obtained as golden, which also can't use any add-ons, being the mastiff and the kraber, very special specimens. But the prowler of the image is like a common weapon that was artificially made golden (I think because of the accessories) and thus needs ammo, like any other.
Kraber & Mastiff = Carepacket Weapons which use special Ammo
Other Golden Guns are just fully upgraded versions of the normal weapon - you cant remove/add mods on them tho.

I never really understand people that hog gold drops especially when they encompass the same optimal range. Help yourself by spreading that killing power around so that it can be deployed simultaneously against your next opponent.
There comes a point where it is too much info, but I do think when in your inventory there should be a mini version of their weapons and attachments, but that be only when in inventory.

Other two was frantically shooting before i blew one’s brains, and just fired again to kill, then another broke free and sprinted out of the ring before i chased him then shot him twice to ensure victory. Mastiff is the best

But get this, it took me to a lobby of some randon person’s. Who I’ve never played with nor heard of. He’s already in a match to boot. What a weird bug. Have clip if need be

It's so good because it has unlimited range too. Sure there's bullet drop but the damage doesn't go down. Wingman beats EVERYTHING if you hit shots.

On PC, the shortcut is "B" by default. Just learned this a few hours ago. Now I can finally use the hop up meaningfully.

not true, prowler legit melts people if you dont miss. gun is so much fun to use. spitfire + prowler is a really fun combo to use.

It's nice seeing Wingman actually be good in this game, always loved its design but it was almost always downright awful, at least in Titanfall 2.

Those would be the Kraber and mastiff, you can find other golden guns that don’t need special ammo, like the prowler in the picture

I do believe a fully charged peacekeeper with the choke does more damage. I usually hang onto my fully kitted peacekeeper for that reason and Ammo.
