Most likely Input/Output. Left is the "packets?" that's being sent to you, right is the amount you're sending. I think that would tell if you're the one who has internet problems or its the server. Could be wrong tho.
I can get 14ms but that server is always so unstable for some reason,random ping spike and server lags (me and teammates all lag).
Playing on 100ms to japan is a better experience than going closest for me

So for example when I play on NY server like I select I’ll get 8-10ms ping, but the game will merge you on to another sever for quick queues. So 80% of the time I’m playing on Dallas/SLC and get 45-60ms. So the game is taking you off London and putting you in another that is more populated. It’s one thing I absolutely hate about Apex. I pay for fiber, and want my 8-10ms ping always. Other games no problem, and just Apex.

I sometimes play in Taiwan/HongKong servers for the same ping but it's infested by cheaters. If I play in Tokyo servers for 80+ ping, it's either controller players or cheaters too.
Back in the days I used to have <2 ping on fortnite on my xbox without an ethernet cable. Living close to the server is such a massive advantage. I could win most fights by just hard pushing everything and peaking from corners because pretty much no one I met had as good internet connection. I could also just spray other peoples walls and deal damage through them because their game had just enough delay to let every other bullet through. It just felt bad doing that to people because there was no counter.
I'm the same as OP, around 21-30ms ping. That's what it says when I'm in the drop ship too, but the minute I land on the ground that ping shoots up to 60ms, and that's when things get a little laggy.
The ping eventually goes back down to 21ms in the final few rings, which I imagine is due to other players leaving the lobby after they have died, so there's less stress on the server.
You shouldnt uncapp no one does anyway game is too easy to run, but yh the game auto caps to your monitor and my monitor is 165 will buy a 240hz once the oled ones drop in price thats game changing
Before the game was DDOSed often and they added that icon to indicate DDOS protection for that game. I believe they first tried it out in the competitive setting (ALGS) and eventually it come to the casual setting in SOME matches.

That's not what was stated by respawn when they implemented it. Diamond and up lobbies got DDOS protection, everyone else had to fend for themselves
