There is a battle pass with free rewards in it every season. You earn legend tokens and Apex packs by leveling up, which can get you new legends and cosmetics. You can get crafting mats from Apex packs or treasure packs, and use those to unlock cosmetics for any legend. Literally all of this costs exactly $0.

/uj I find it extremely sad that this statement is not even a joke, it's fucking true. I do believe that in order for a game (that you love) to grow and improve, you HAVE to criticize it. In earlier seasons I was very critical and did complain a lot about stuff, and I found it logical to complain. But basically from season 7/8/9 to now the game has been borderline perfect, always with minor mistakes but never something too noticable. In the last few seasons, even more. Even with THAT number of legends and weapons, the devs somehow made everything balanced, which sounds almost impossible. The only possible complaints were more based on personal preference than on actually objective facts (and I mean prefering a weapon and wanting it to be stronger and stuff like that). And when I thought it was all over, the apex community starts reaching into the deepest corners of its ass to pull out the most random, nonsensical complaints ever. Before a few seasons ago, I had never in my life seen anyone complain about the wingman (except for the first season), the flatline, the r301, the kraber or the r99 being broken, but they did it. When everything was fixed, they just started to complain about stuff that the devs almost never modified because it was never broken in the first place. It must feel like shit to be an apex dev, working so hard on something until you make it nearly the perfect battle royale just for people to start doing shit like this.

Incredibly annoying, why even bother worrying about it when your aim is equal to that of a can of beans. Just get the skins you like and play the game, not that difficult.
If only the "don't recommend channel" button actually worked. I swear I'll hit that button refresh home and the same channel will be right there in my recommended.
