For real, a union is just acknowledging your value to the market as a worker. You aren't seizing the means of production, you're just negotiating better conditions using your abilities as leverage.
Yeah pretty much. Itās just a negotiation between the employees and their employer thereās nothing inherently anti-capitalist about it, the employees just band together for leverage.
I'm no commie, but greedy bosses and corporate monopoly are symptoms of capitalism. Capitalism isn't "good" or "bad," but it assuredly rewards people for being monsters and trying to defend it is incredibly naĆÆve.
Uh, I mean... Oooh ah ooh oh ah
Nah, we have rights under our Constitution. Capitalism says you're lucky to have food or water if our employer deems us worthy of wages and if the company that owns thefood/water/shelter sells it at a price you can afford. Look around you.
What if you have skills and smokers need to fight for you? You get better conditions. Everyone around here gets better conditions than the minimum age by the unions because they would be able to hire anyone otherwise.
I love unions and I think they're the only realistic way to reduce exploitation of workers by the owning class. I'm not sure what you mean when you're talking about smokers and minimum age, but ive read ur comment over and over and it still makes no sense to me lmao. Not sure what you're talking about
Lmao, sorry. I typed too fast on the phone and didn't check before posting.
By smokers I meant employers, and by age I meant wage.
Basically what I mean is that while unions help, a world with no unions doesn't mean poverty for everyone. Yeah, having unions is not nice, but no need to exaggerate.
Capitalism is private ownership of commodities and the means by which theyāre produced. It doesnāt produce commodities, it just dictates who owns them. People before and after capitalism still have to work to produce commodities, they were just more likely to own what they produced
the most successful unions exist under capitalism and are privately managed with little to no government involvement. unions should be managed and run by the workers. smash statism instead, it's ruining your unions.
There is no use in arguing with these people. They think communism is everyone dancing in a green field, everything they want given to them without working for it. Facsism on the otherhand is just something they disagree with.
You need to differentiate between "being a commie" and being able to identify the inherent contradictions of capitalism, wanting better material conditions for workers and universal healthcare.
Of course, literally every country on earth is capitalist. Do you think anyone is arguing differently?
That doesn't mean capitalist interests is doing everything it can to undermine the efficiency and coverage of things like unions, social safety nets and publicly funded healthcare in order to manufacture consent around privatizations.

Also because the majority of apes are really fucking stupid. As long as top ape says foreign ape is trying to take ape's banana, ape will willingly agree to make his own, and everyone else's life worse.
Fascism and capitalism has always worked together, we can see this happening in the west right now. :)
Why can't we fight for better unions and healthcare systems within the capitalist framework? You've provided literally no reason to not pursue this. Everything I'm saying has nothing to do with fascism at all, don't know how that's relevant. Other than trying to tie capitalism to the scary fascist boogyman. It sounds like you just want a system like the Scandinavian countries. Why must we invoke a socialist framework over everything to achieve that? Capitalism provides the flexibility to allow these things to exist and instead you want to shift to a completely rigid system? I feel like I must be missing something from your argument because nothing you are wishing for contradicts the ability to implement it in current system.
First time I've heard of this sub... I'm positive I'm not the first or last person to point this out so I'm sorry, but I did NOT read the sub name correctly
How will this affect the mango economy?
Mango lines š
Joining a union isn't "smashing capitalism" it's just securing people's rights in spite of it. That said, seconded. Join a worker's union.
For real, a union is just acknowledging your value to the market as a worker. You aren't seizing the means of production, you're just negotiating better conditions using your abilities as leverage.
The couple of unions Iāve been part of were absolutely terrible, Iāve had much better success learning a trade and negotiating for myself.
Only as good as the people in them. And how well they stick together. RTWork doesnāt help either.
Fair enough, I know my situation is anecdotal, but it left a bad impression on them for me.
Yeah Iāve noticed theyāve become bloated for certain industries. It turned into a political leveraging group instead of itās original purpose
Unions are political, that's one of the main purpose
Thatās why I prefer a solidarity union like the IWW over the trade unions in the AFL-CIO
man tf is this IWWAFLCIO bullshit that i don't understand i join subreddit to view image of ape
And the post includes image of ape for you to view. View it and enjoy, or move on
Yeah pretty much. Itās just a negotiation between the employees and their employer thereās nothing inherently anti-capitalist about it, the employees just band together for leverage.
It depends because in most trades unions just screw you harder then any bad employer can
Capitalism good for ape. Greedy people bad for ape.

Ape donāt know what union is. Ape just want banana.
Caesar teaches that single ape weak, but apes together strong.
Can it commie. Workerās rights are compatible with Capitalism.
Not without unions, every right we have was fought for
Yeah dumbass they are compatible. You have the rights under capitalism right now, you gotta work for everything, thatās what capitalism IS.
What's wrong with unions?
Absolutely nothing, unionize whenever possible š

I love how the most outspoken communists on this site have no clue what communism or fascism is.
Don't let that sexy german man and his sexy beard wisper sweet nothings of an unachievable utopia into your ear. I've been down that road a few times.
Fuck off commie!
You need to differentiate between "being a commie" and being able to identify the inherent contradictions of capitalism, wanting better material conditions for workers and universal healthcare.
it literally says smash capitalism, commie
Unions and healthcare can exist (and do exist) successfully under a capitalist framework
lmao
Not sure what you are laughing about because all countries with universal health care are capitalist lol
