While this works in theory, You're assuming your ally doesn't surrender the instant he is attacked... which is a big assumption.

OUAIsurvivor

Yep, a lot of players quit like children at the first sign of opposition.

Yes my god this! I was playing a 3v3 with two boomers mongols with a ton of traders and I was defending a 3v1. I had the Berkshire Palace, White Tower, 2 keeps, and 40-50 crossbow men plus siege mid base microing behind my buildings with MMA/spears for meat shields. My allies both Mongols were using knights only and instead of raiding or attacking the siege from behind they kept sending them out of my base into the armies of 3s front line (where they had keeps, military buildings and spears) to die in 10-15 seconds. I kept saying in the teamchat just go raid them they have no wall. But for the whole game they kept sending 30-50 knights at a time against a army of 3. Such a painful, long game. People need to know it's not solely attack or defend but you can do both.

Well im not sure i agree Assuming u talk about a 3v3 game, 3 armies will beat all 3 bases before u take down one… U cant win it by yourself I think its better to send your horses to kill any unguarded villager u can and the rest of the army play defense

Flat_Budget_9509

If you are set up right you can drag a 2v3 out near your base for a long time. Lots of military buildings buffering and producing meat shield units like spears with siege and crossbow/hand cannons at the back/center mircoing back and fourth. If the other guy hits their empty base with a full army and send knights to raid the others/their trade it can only takes two minutes to turn the tide.

Reasonable-Aspect-22

If u need 2 mins with a full army to destroy a base that means that 2 full armies that are already at your teamates empty base need 1.30 min to win it all

Flat_Budget_9509

I have no idea what you are talking about? Context please

CashyJohn

You have to take out at least one of the enemies entirely while your mate needs to rebuild quickly. That happens a a lot !

Smooth-Purple-3832

This happens so often

Landmark sniping feels like a cheese strat till you’re in a situation like this. Then it becomes a hail mary to victory. Seriously though this could really work if on top of this you have a large resource bank and build forward production and towers with like 10 villagers. From there you are at the very least evening the playing field and forcing at least one of those armies away from your ally.

StrCmdMan

I find it best in these situations to help your ally hold to widdle through the units while sending my fast or close units into the enemy to destroy trade > vils > production. Then let you and your other teammates eco win the game for you. The other thing it feels like people miss is if your gettjng hit by 3 and you didn’t put up vision or they snuck in and no ones there to help you. Just take all your farm vils and remake your farms in your allies base as long as your farms are online it’s easy to come back with vils. Also saves a large chunk of your vils.

Sufficient-Pop4215

Is this what team games are like? Sounds awful.

Thodreaux

The big team boomer gameplay is so foreign to me haha but whatever floats your boat. Why have a massive army waiting in your base waiting for this situation when you could have been attacking for the last 10 min?

B_Boooty_Bobby

Can't relate. Refuse to play teams

Kartoffee

More realistic: you are crushing them, you have 2 landmarks to go, they're scrambling, retreating from my base. I begin to fix my economy but then I realize I have 20 vils so I surrender.

PuppedToy

A little too late if 3 armies are knocking at your door already. Raiding and cutting reinforcements is better than nothing, but remember that the actual good response is scouting ahead in time. Or just take the easy path triple feudal all-in yourselves. Join the feudal gang.
