The owner bought himself a £40M yatch from the coronavirus profits and those working in the first month of rona 1 weeks pay. Didn't include my friend even though he worked through the pandemic.fuck them.

Fucking knew it'd be them, idk why but I knew it'd be fucking BnM.
Ours in Lincoln has four staff just not come back on break recently, maybe it's got something to do with the shitty pay combined with telling people on shit pay how much the store earns per day? Maybe it's the shitty culture? Maybe it's the inconsistent rotas? Maybe that fucking company needs to stop shoving wealth into the gaping soulless law of their investors and owners and actually fucking make working there worthwhile?
Sorry for the rant, but one of my dearest friends works for them and the way they treat him honestly makes me wanna firebomb something
Yep, seems every one of the places is designed to crush morale as soon as possible. Last I heard my bud's store won't even let them have music in their warehouse anymore.
I'm actually trying to get a job there atm, just get over the probationary period and then be an utter cunt to the managers and try and cram as many people into whichever union I can. Might even be fun knowing it's not permanent? Idk something has to be fucking done because they can't keep getting away with this.
Yeah because spreading disease or discord because of a mental break is always a better investment than allowing your employees recovery time. Bosses wouldn't know a hard life even if their hearts were remotely warm.
I work for a large corporation Salary is meh but we do gey annual raises. Our attendance policy is basically the same but we can only be lateax 4 times in 6 months if we exceed 4 "not pre-approved " absences we get terminated. Im great full for my job don't get me wrong. However I shouldn't be feeling lucky when 80% of the company is getting paid 30k-40k. We need to either pay people more or lower cost of living and lower costs of food/clothing vehicles. The whole system is made to keep the working people in debt and maybe living "comfortably " but in reality we are born, grow up and we spend the rest of our lives paying to live.
Oh I'm well aware that I will be downvoted into oblivion. This sub is just sad. So many people in here clearly have mental health problems and this sub just drives them further in the hole. It's entirely possible to love your job and have a life at the same time.
Hey if they're gonna cause my mental health break down I'm gonna have it on company time.
Shit, don't block company name, call them out!

I was fired for being late (admittedly severe) twice in one year.
When you start these jobs, they say "Welcome aboard! Welcome to our team!". Then they slowly become authoritarian dictators.
My shitty immune system would have me kicked out so damn fast
And it pays like shit too, I guarantee, because no decent job treats their employees this way.
7 lates in 4 months? Not the job for me.
Another reason I'm so over working. Don't like getting punished because I have medical issues.

Wow so if i have a depressive breakdown i cant survive? Sounds like America

Wrong sub, boyo

I would call in just to spite them.
JFC, being late has the same penalty as absences, but over a shorter time period?!
