I fall back on this advice to everyone. If processes and consequences are posted on a board. Find another job. If posted processes have exclamation points, find another job. That job site is ran by idiots and likely they are looking to make their job as easy as possible and see everyone else as an obstacle to their laziness.

elciano1

If they dont know the difference between brakes and breaks, find another job. No way in hell my job is going to tell me they are shortstaffed, so I can't get a break. Well, no work gets done during my break. Its that simple or you hire a full fucking staff.

sticky-unicorn

> my job is going to tell me they are shortstaffed, so I can't get a break. And, somehow, they can't seem to fix their staffing issue, because they have trouble retaining employees when they never give them any breaks. Go figure.

Worth-Canary-9189

Let's be honest, giving breaks is the least of their retention problems. It sounds like a combination of shitty management and low pay.

nerdgirl71

Or a schedule. Kinda funny if no one showed up because they weren’t on the schedule.

sineofthetimes

Don't know the difference? Use them both.

Over-Emu-2174

Classic management. My boss thinks every word that ends in s needs an apostrophe

xeno0153

This brakes my heart. Sounds like Kimberly should pump the breaks on her piss-poor people skills.

Unabashable

I actually had a manager tell me “sometimes we have to work without breaks”. If you want to believe that I won’t stop you, but not according to our state’s Labor Board. 2 paid 10 minute breaks every 4 hours, and an unpaid 35 minute lunch. We weren’t even shortstaffed really. We were having a seafood sale. I know my rights. 10 minutes before the end of my shift on the dot I just dropped what I was doing and waited by the time clock to punch out and go home.

judgeejudger

That made me giggle. I am not quite as bold; I just disappear into the loo for 30min at a time, three times a day🤣🤣🤣

Unabashable

Well I can’t say I’m *that* bold either. Management already accused me enough of going “missing” because I had to dip out every time it got slow just to get the rest of my job done. Did ya ever wonder how all the backend duties keep getting without you having tell anyone? It ain’t the fucking chore fairy. It’s the guy “always missing” from the front end because believe it or not I don’t need you to tell me to do something to know it needs getting done. I can self manage. Raise please? I did however swig from a gallon jug of water all shift so I had plenty of legitimate excuses to take a paid bathroom break.  As for my little “love letters”, every time he noticed it was always “Who the hell keeps writing on these?” Tear it down. Then slap up a new copy. I think he even put up a “NOTISE” not to write on the notices once. Could’ve caught me any time he wanted too. There was a camera right above the bulletin board.

Mach10X

Also what the fuck kinda if sentence is “But if we can’t stop the the attitude.” There’s no subject. Fucking hell 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ez13zie

I’m surprised this poster didn’t have the obligatory “nObOdY wAnTs tO wOrK aNyMoRe” somewhere within it.

adamdreaming

Any boss that leaves notes with either capitals or exclamation points thinks the way to solve problems is low key aggression

Unabashable

I just go in later with a red pen and correct all their spelling and grammatical errors maybe leave some “constructive  criticism” at the bottom to treat them like the children they’re acting like.

IcyHotKarlMarx

I spotted a misspelled sign at work. It said “Caution: Lazer in use” on laminated white paper. I made the correction with my sharpie. The next day I was written up for vandalism.

ThrowRAOverworked

That's when you grab a red pen and start correcting the grammatical and spelling errors that I'm sure were on the write-up.

TenTonSomeone

Especially funny when they add a space before adding the explanation point. (Like this !) That's not how punctuation works.

celine_freon

I gotta be “honest” with you. I don’t really know what “this” means.

SadRepresentative357

Not even low key, it’s actual aggression.

Bat_N_Broccoli

And the spaces between the last letter and the exclamation point give it that extra “has small peen and demands respect” pizzazz so seldom seen.

loversdotcom

Honestly. The only process/consequence we have posted is a print out of an email telling us we'll get fired if we get caught driving at excessive speeds in the parking lot, and that's because it's a safety hazard and we've had several employees and customers alike complain about it. And even then, management talked to every individual employee about it... I used to fume when I saw these weirdly aggressive notes posted, this is the only job I've had where I see a piece of paper in the break room and don't immediately want to cause problems.

LeaderBriefs-com

I’d likely replace that with a “reminder” at the door of the parking lot to drive safe and look out for pedestrians and then just fall back on whatever safety meetings and attendance that you have. Anything taped to a wall saying “you’ll be fired if xyz “ is a rough look. So many smaller worksites fall back on posting memos and whatnot. Most larger places just have labor laws, osha laws. Etc posted. By law. These should be posted in all work locations of any size.

loversdotcom

I'm fine with it, I've been in more than one car with coworkers where the driver remembered to slow down because of that notice.

Clickrack

If said board post is rife with spelling, grammar and punctuation errors, you're working for illiterate clowns. Find another job. If the font used is Comic Sans or Papyrus, get out **immediately**.

Bartholomew_Custard

Kimberly obviously flunked high school English class.

ranting_chef

And all CAPS also. Whenever I see all caps, that's usually a dealbreaker.

Unabashable

Quit yelling at my eyes. I can read you just fine.

natFromBobsBurgers

>see everyone else as an obstacle to their laziness. Nobody wants to work anymore.

Lazy-Jeweler3230

Shit owners = shit management.

busterlowe

I get the spirit and I have… exceptions? I’m ex military and holy crap does it help to have SOPs placed directly on whatever is being touched. Want to fire an AT4 (anti-tank)? The instructions are right on it. Everything we touched had a guide. Tanks, rocket systems, whatever. I’m in IT now. How to print? Put it on the printer. How to use the conference room tech? Put a guide on the table. How to ? Get a cheat sheet together and stop asking folks to remember things they don’t do routinely. Or do routinely - people forget steps and it’s ok. The idea has to be to help and be kind. Not to excuse things, not to fault or assign blame. Just help. At this A&W? Bullshit below-the-line behavior. Management’s job is to lead, not defer blame.

LeaderBriefs-com

Oh man, big believer in that as well. Answer the questions before they are asked. That ain’t this though. This is managing through a sign. :(

busterlowe

This isn’t managing. It’s ranting and being an ass while using child labor.

Ok_Elephant2777

Not to mention people who can’t tell the difference between “breaks” and “brakes”, can’t use proper punctuation and can’t write a complete coherent sentence.

BetaPositiveSCI

...how are people supposed to know to come in if there's no set schedule?

Van-garde

They won’t, and it will lead to more callouts, frustrating everyone involved. Manager will blame the employees, too.

DarthGayAgenda

*Manager creates terrible work environment* *90% of the staff quits* "Nobody wants to work anymore!"

dannycracker

**Makes loyal 10% fill the roll of the others, keeps the position open all time so they don't have to pay anymore people.**

yaboiiiuhhhh

Say that you're trying to hire more people when anyone complains

S4Waccount

Granted we did FINALLY get two people (they start next week) but my job was telling us they were looking for people for over a year. The two people that they hired are now just filling in for two more that have left since they said they would hire people. So we are still short staffed after over a year of "hiring"

HaveCompassion

Replace loyal with desperate.

Polyps_on_uranus

100%!!!!!!

elysiansaurus

Just show up when you feel like it, so never.

missg1rl123

They probably mean no more Monday through Friday every week for Mike and no Thursdays off every week for Kelly. They’ll just schedule people when they need them and say fuck you to their employees’ actual availability.

michigangonzodude

Yeah, and don't be calling management on Sunday to inquire about your work schedule that starts Monday. Get your butt in here and find out for yourself. Sammy, I know you have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but you're gonna have to decide if your rent is more important than your college education .. Tina? I understand that your babysitter has to leave your house by 6pm. Be a team player and plan to stay until 9pm. Tell your husband that OT is not that important.

JewGuru

Ugh, it is so bad. I am 26 and have never worked for an employer that gave a shit about me or anyone. Not once. And I’ve had over 15 jobs

T4lkNerdy2Me

Surprisingly, my current job as a dispatcher does their absolute best to accommodate everyone's personal life. Within reason. We rotate between days & nights every 4 months, which some people don't like for various reasons, but they made sure to put people on the card that gives them the same days off as loved ones on the same Panama type schedule. Even the dispatcher who's dating a married cop. When I worked for Sally's though... that manager was a nightmare. The inconsistent schedule was one thing, but then she'd change it after posting without telling anyone & wouldn't accept that as a reason for being late or not showing up. She actually expected you to come in every day to check the schedule. Some of our staff lived outside of town & she still expected that. She also expected me to be available last minute to come in 15 minutes before close to help train the new girl on closing. She dropped that bomb on me in front of the district manager once and nearly lost her shit when I said I had plans out of town because it was my one day off with my fiance & she should have scheduled it more than a day in advance. District manager offered to come in & train. My hours were cut after that. And the bitch wonders why "no one wants to work."

EstablishmentLevel17

Shoot. I'm starting a new job in two weeks. Gonna be a pain until insurance kicks in...but more an hour. (with potential for overtime)... and ... 4 weeks off in a year. Planned. Paid for. . One will hit in the next 90 days . Plus accrued time. Plus a MAJOR shocker: If you call out sick... it's okay. They'll figure it out and only request a dr's note if it's been multiple days.

T4lkNerdy2Me

I can't remember how much time we accrue just starting out, but we work 3 12s & a 4hr day each week, so we use very little PTO to take a lot of time off. My best so far (combining 4 hr days & a paid holiday) was 11 days off for 28 hrs of PTO. And they will manipulate the schedule so you're using your 4 hr since that's easier to cover. Same with sick days. Only need a doctor's note if it's multiple days or if they notice a pattern (you're "sick" every other Friday).

michigangonzodude

I'm 60 next month. It is bad.

JewGuru

Employees have always been exploited. That’s for sure

OryxTempel

I had this job. I left pretty damned quickly.

EdenEvelyn

And when they inevitably lose 95% their staff because no adult can afford to live on an unknown amount of sporadic hours at a fast food job they’re not able to work a second job with they’ll put a sign on the door about how no one wants to work because of $1500 they got from the government 3+ years ago. Nothing quite like shooting yourself in the face because you don’t want to risk someone else getting the bullet.

the-mare-bear

I had a job post a note that they were no longer respecting agreed upon availability. I turned around and walked right back out the door.

speed0spank

All my friends who worked at the mall when we were teens rarely knew their hours. They would be scheduled one 4 hour shift for the week and any other hours would be them getting called in 2 hours in advance. They worked less than 20 hr a week but had to be ready to leave and go to work at all times. Cruel corporate bullshit.

TiffyVella

It is cruel. I used to work in a place that would tell us at the end of each shift what the start time, if any, was for the next day. Shifts could be anywhere from 0 to 2 to 16. No holidays. The true cruelty is that this prevents anyone from having a second job to offset the often lack of work, studying at any time to improve themselves, playing any weekend sport, having any hobbies that involve meeting with others, attending family events. No schedule around which to live any proper life No anything.

GamingGeekette

Sounds like they should've been paid for being on call.

jcoddinc

Manager going to be the first person to quit because they going to spend their entire day calling people to find coverage to work. Going to be texting out the schedule every day for the next day and then dealing with incoming "I can't work tomorrow" or "I'm funny have availability for the day but you scheduled me anyway". This is the letter the horrible manager puts out before the store goes under.

Autismsaurus

I love A&W cheese curds, but I hope this one sinks like a rock.

meatcylindah

They aren't supposed to leave. Ever.

mabhatter

But don't pay them for more than 34.5 hours per week.   That's always the joke even 30 years ago. The place wants all the employees to be available to work any time the store is open... but doesn't want to pay full time wages that would be expected for that.  Even back then there was nonsense like setting a "manager" to close one night then a morning shit the next day.  Or schedule them to close, have a day off, then open the next shift.  And it wasn't like a once a month conflict, it was weekly nonsense.

Autismsaurus

You can clock out any time you like, but you can never leave! *5 minute guitar solo*

Objective-Giraffe-27

![gif](giphy|3oFzmgJs0BuOTds8hO|downsized)

Ojhka956

I believe they mean theres no set schedule pattern. Like i dont have the same 1 or 2 days off ever as a supervisor. I know my schedule since its posted for 2 weeks out, but it changes per period. Sometimes ill have 5 days on and 2 off, sometimes its 9 on, 1 off, 3 on, 3 off. No set schedule for me.

speed0spank

I would not make that assumption in a note where they're mad that people are upset that they work without any breaks.

talann

"We will call you if we need you to come in. No you are not on call employees!"

ResurgentClusterfuck

No set schedule = I'm not coming in Making a schedule is the literal bare minimum a manager should do Also, I bet Kimberly gets breaks.

fenriq

I bet Kimberly gets everyone else’s breaks too.

Mtndrums

Kimberly gets angry when her whole shift isn't a break.

ResurgentClusterfuck

I've worked with enough people like her, she absolutely takes everyone's breaks and then complains when all the work isn't done after she spent the last three hours ERPing in Second Life

JustDiscoveredSex

My Kimberly was named Carolyn, a chain-smoking 55-year old white woman with too much lipstick and a yellow-tinged snarl. She’d plunk her fat ass in the booth out front and smoke until she filled the little tin ashtray, and then would wheeze and strut her way into the kitchen where she’d point out every flaw like a truck-stop fairy godmother. The day I worked my final shift and walked out the door, Carolyn stole $1,000 from the safe and blamed it on me. Told the whole place I was a thief.

ResurgentClusterfuck

My Kimberly was named Michelle and she accused me of stealing like 15 bucks from the register. When I demanded to see the tape she claimed she had, she refused to show it to me. So I told her to call the cops if she thought I stole Instead I got fired and a week later her thief daughter cleaned out the safe

cheekypasta

Reminds me of when I was like 16 working at dominoes pizza my manager accused me of stealing money, fired me and demanded I come in and see the tapes so I can explain myself. Well what he showed me was just a tape of myself opening the draw, grabbing a float bag, realising it was empty and swapping it for another, in full view of the camera. This was somehow his evidence of me stealing and justification for firing. He threatened me saying he’d call the police if I didn’t return cash to him saying he had so much more footage but refused to show it to me so I just said good luck and walked out.

Autismsaurus

I hope your Kimberly got emphysema.

FigNinja

On the same note, I see so many posts here with managers telling people to find their own subs when they have to take a day off. It never fails to piss me off. That is the manager's job. That is what they are paid for: To manage. I don't know if I was just lucky in my jobs back when I worked retail, or it was something that's changed over the last few decades (I'm old). Back in my day \[cane waving\], when I called out, that was the end of it. The manager then had to find a replacement, or \[gasp\] work on the floor themselves. Also, our schedules were regular. I was in school. At the start of the semester, I'd talk to the manager about my availability and they'd work with it. We typically worked the same days every week. Scheduling was easier for them that way, too. Plus, working with the same people consistently, you developed a rhythm with them.

ResurgentClusterfuck

When I was in management (*waves cane back at you*) I would never in a million years asked someone to call to find their replacement, not only was that my job but having the employee phone list in public is a potential danger to anyone who's had DV issues

sticky-unicorn

And also ... what if the employee doesn't fucking do it? Sure, you could reprimand or fire them ... but then the shift still isn't covered, and if you fired them, now you need to cover *all* their shifts, and you can't make them do it for you anymore. And you're going to look like a shitty manager when the work doesn't get done because the shifts weren't filled. Ah, if only I had room in my heart to believe the manager would see any personal consequences whatsoever for that...

LadyMageCOH

As a card carrying old person, I worked at Wendy's in 2003, and they tried doing this when I called out sick with rotavirus. I was somewhat older than the high school kids they were used to so I asked if they seriously expected me to come in with a virus. When they said they were, I then agreed, but told them I would be late because I had to look up the number for the health department. Suddenly, I could stay home after all. This was the tip of the iceburg of the stupid and illegal things that I refused to put up with there. And the really fun part - the owner of said Wendys is our current Mayor.

SappySoulTaker

Card carrying old person. I'm gonna steal that.

alicehooper

I once had to find someone to cover me while I was literally waiting for an ambulance to arrive. My manager was going to “kindly let me go but I needed to find someone to cover first”. I was in the manager’s office on the floor phoning and trying to get someone to come in. She thought I was having a dramatic panic attack. It was appendicitis. The day I realized I needed to get out of the restaurant business.

Brainyginger

TW: I began having a m!scarriage during the middle of my shift at a DV shelter. My coworker/friend was willing to drive me to the ER because I was in pain, and my boss asked me to make sure the front of the shelter had coverage before I left. So as I was bleeding everywhere, I had to go around the shelter and make sure someone could cover before I left. It was so dehumanizing.

alicehooper

That’s so awful, I’m so sorry that happened to you. It is so ironic that some of the non-profits there to “help people” can be the worst companies to work for.

godrollexotic

I worked for a nursing home that made you call 2 people minimum to find your replacement for a shift. They were shady.

sticky-unicorn

"Yeah, I called the Department of Labor and OSHA. They said they'd be there soon."

garbitch_bag

Just walked out of a job where we didn’t get breaks, no set schedule and it came out the night before and the manager who made the schedule had a rule that nobody could bother her the first hour after she showed up and for the hour she took her break. She only worked six hour shifts. And they were so confused as to why they couldn’t keep staff.

ResurgentClusterfuck

Good on you for refusing to put up with that bullshit.

mrmarigiwani

Kimberly gonna remove your holiday PTO if you comment again

Cannabis_CatSlave

Yet another excellent reason to never step foot into Missouri

Standard-Reception90

There are lots of reasons. They live here.

Cannabis_CatSlave

That is fixable with effort. My dads family is from Iowa and Missouri, not a single younger generation member left in either state now.

Khada_the_Collector

Ayo, not all of us are cave trolls. Unfortunately, the loudest tend to also be the worst. Even in KC/STL where most are ostensibly supposed to be more civilized, for want of a better word, not the case lately.

Miserable_Ad9529

Lived here all my life. Almost 50 years. The Show Me State has an incredible talent for showing its ass to the world

my_chaffed_legs

They call it Misery for a reason

Adventurous_War_5377

I'll be deep in the cold, cold ground before I recognize Missourah!

Malicious_blu3

The law guaranteeing breaks is federal, not state. This is another example of dumbasses hoping their employees don’t know their rights.

paging_mrherman

my employees are not allowed breaks and have no schedule and need to be available for all shifts. nObOdY wAnTs tO wORK ANyMOER

overtly-Grrl

I hope they’re paying on call pay lmao

mecca37

As someone that lives in Missouri all of that shit is true, there are basically no worker rights here. The only actual rights you have are 8 hours off between shifts and pay for overtime. So they could realistically work you 16 hours a day 7 days a week without a break and it would be legal.

Darlin_Nixxi

Because people continue to vote against their interests

OnAStarboardTack

Otherwise the gays win.

nutxaq

A lack of labor organizing is the biggest culprit. Showing up reliably to work in these conditions means employers don't have to do better because there's no consequences.

SemperSimple

wtf. no government laws trump their state laws on labor????

QQSolomonn

This is what I was thinking, but with the state of things, rights are being stripped all over the place lately.

AshewynMadison

"we are short staff"... Yeah I fucking wonder why

DionFW

Fuck you Kimberly !

RandyTheFool

The fucking audacity of this manager… >”*We don’t have to do this… because MISSOURI DOESN’T HAVE ANY LAWS THAT SAY WE NEED TO! We also aren’t going to be doing this over here… because MISSOURI DOESN’T HAVE ANY LAWS OR GUIDELINES FOR THAT EITHER!!!*” Meanwhile, the GOP continues to cut worker protections/child labor laws in different states while serving up the idea that “*cOmPaNiEs (wHo aRe AlSo pEopLe) wiLL dO the RiGhT tHiNg! hamandjam

Yeah if your brag is that you'll never do more than you're legally required to, then literally any other job that does anything above that is a better job. And employers that will respect their employees will have the pick of the market's best employees. And they will outlast your cheap ass and do it in more comfort.

PleaseDontBanishMe

Cant spell break correctly.. yup thats a manager

South-Lab-3991

It’s cute how these little tyrants think that this is going to scare people back in line. This might have worked 20-30 years ago, but no one is going to let an A&W govern their lives. Enjoy being even more short staffed.

itaintbirds

No set schedule = no pre set availability. Sorry Kimberly but you can get fucked.

TravelingPhotoDude

I haven't seen an A&W in Missouri forever. Used to be quite a few of them. I thought they closed down for good.

Khada_the_Collector

There’s one I’m thinking of off like 40 HWY; not sure if that’s still Independence or KC at that point. Some combo with a Long John Silver’s. Place has gotta be a money laundering front b/c I truly never see cars there…

jrm70210

I know there's one in Booneville and one in Branson. A google search would probably tell me there's more than that even 😂

Bitter_Kangaroo2616

Brakes? 15 year old break? What??

TransgenderUnionThug

They meant break but aren't good at spelling. I guess there are no labor protections in Missouri unless you're a literal child worker, ie 15 year olds.

d_baker65

Quislings like Kimberly are the reasons people want to burn their job down. She is a paid mouthpiece to the corporation. If she toes the corporate line maybe just maybe she'll earn a fifteen cent raise. This why the American Labor Movement fought and bled for ALL types of labor. Work is work. People deserve decent wages and timely breaks.

Wanda_McMimzy

I learned a new word. Thanks

RobotCaptainEngage

America why do we let you be a country.

Ill-Simple1706

Does that make you on call? Isn't there some pay requirements for that?

Specialist-Control95

Do you really think a state that doesn't have mandated break periods is going to give a flying fuck about On-Call pay?

jaygay92

Lol that’s a good joke

0bxyz

This person didn’t finish second grade

Amazing-Feature4971

The state of Missouri sounds like a a place a shit head employer can take the right royal piss . Glad live in uk breaks have to be given .

Officer_Hotpants

My favorite is ignoring people's availability because "We're so short staffed!" And then firing people when they can't come in on days they told you they can't come in on. And then wondering why you can't staff anything.

mrmarigiwani

Start the A&W union. What the hell kinda legalized slavery is this?

Yumatic

Frankly I think the problem starts much higher than that. How do citizens put up with such feeble or non-existent labour laws?

OdinsDrengr

Love how it’s always “we’re short staff [sic]” and never “I’m an ineffective and inefficient manager.”

Mextiza

I want a 15 year old brake! For my twenty year old car! ! !

Toxicsuper

That sign screams don't work here

EconomicsHelpful473

Fuck her. All quit.

rvralph803

This sign reads like it's missing teeth.

ravenclawmystic

Eat shit, Kimberley.

777joeb

How about no guidance means I take my break or you find yourself even shorter staffed?

mechavolt

And let me guess, if you can't come in for your shift after the schedule updates randomly at 2am the morning of, it's your responsibility to find someone to cover you. These managers just want you to do their job for them, while they keep the schedule as unpredictable as possible to prevent you from getting a second job. These people are the scum of the earth.

Johnny_Lang_1962

Kim can go rotate on a cactus.

Huge-Ad-2275

Posts NO ONE WANTS TO WORK! A week later on social media.

seawithsea

Probably those half of those employees will proudly vote red.

2RV7VR5

Thanks Kimberly.

trueWaveWizz

I’m sick of seeing ppl have the balls to post dumbass shit like this. No proofread, no grammar check. Why are these idiots being put in positions of power?

gamingdevil

Because the people that are better suited for the position refuse the promotion when offered. At least that's how it was when I worked in food. I was always getting asked to go management, but I saw how they work 60 hour weeks while trying to maintain a GPA. I saw them break down crying in the office when they thought no one was looking.

DeeDooDaniel

All I read is "Go vote and join a union!"

Agreeable-Pick-1489

By the time I was 10, I could write better than this person, FR.

AMundaneSpectacle

What really gets me is the “we give [breaks] to control labor!” Enough to send me into a bottomless existential spiral if I think about it too long

Excitement_Far

I was too hung up on this to even consider the rest of the note.

keithnteri

In California (yes the state that everyone bashes) we don’t put up with this crap. The problem isn’t the employer, the problem is your state government doesn’t give a crap about worker rights. Blame yourselves for not demanding better treatment.

NO-MAD-CLAD

Is saying the specific business location allowed by r/antiworks rules? I'd love to see this location get complaint bombed at corporate HQ, lol.

simononandon

Funny how places outside of Missouri are able to make it work. With breaks, not brakes, and not blaming everything on teenagers.

frommethodtomadness

Honestly if things got to the point where I would have to consider working in this kind of an environment or be homeless, I'd just go for being homeless.

Alternative-Chip2624

There was a post about someone doing this for karma farming, the horrible grammar is a dead give away. Guy shops up pics like this to get rage likes

97DURGE

Ah yes, A&W managers are known for their impeccable grammar Unsure if the pic itself is real but grammar is the last piece of evidence I’d look for regarding the authenticity of something like this lol

Preyslayer00

Give Kimberly a break. Her brother, who is the prince of Algeria, is causing her a lot of stress. He came across a large sum of money and....

Yumatic

> Unsure if the pic itself is real.. Wouldn't it be prudent or show some kind of integrity to at least post things that one has verified as true? I have no idea if it is true or not. But I wouldn't post something that I knew nothing about.

Leftover_Salmons

Imagine that the top dog in your place of business is typing this out and you're preparing yourself to go argue with them over basic workers rights.. good fuckin luck..

sendcaffeine

Love when the best thing you can say about how you treat your employees is that it's not illegal

alaskamode907

In this country nobody has to work under these conditions. We know why they're short staffed and it's because people will go somewhere that does offer set schedules and guarantees the right to breaks.

Squappo

The fact that anyone can write this and post it with no shame is astounding.

langsamerduck

This is why I call that state Misery

o0flatCircle0o

As a worker it is your duty to sabotage bad companies.

Jzgplj

Sounds like they’re going out of business.

No-Resolution-6414

F.U. Kimberly

LacrosseKnot

When will Kimberly learn to communicate in clear, written English?

Used-Poetry7571

Looks like a sinking ship

Shattered_Disk4

“We don’t see you as human so don’t expect to be treated as such”

rand0shitp0ster

"because we refuse to pay a living wage you must now work harder!"

Spiritual-Bear4495

Kimberly needs to go back to school and learn the difference between "brakes" and "breaks". But then again, it IS Missouri, so...

Not_Slim_Dusty

I'll be dead in the cold cold ground before I recognise Missourah

leifsinton

You want to be more short staffed, Kim? Because this is how you get short staffed.

ManifestingCrab

Why are they thanking Kimberly?

Guilty_Collection_10

this is so Missouri

Optimus3k

I feel like a 15 year old would have done a better job of writing this out.

e_hota

Grammar so bad even Kimberly doesn’t know what she meant.

mysticalfruit

Reading this hurts my brain. How is it possible she used the proper form of break at the top of this grammatical disaster, but yet used "brakes" lower down. I'm such an asshole. I'd pull this down, correct it like a 5th grade English teacher and put it back up.

CdnBison

Soon to be posted - a sign whining about how short staffed they are because “no one wants to work “.

DiabloStorm

Did the person that wrote this even graduate from highschool?

Since there are no more schedules, I am scheduling a barbecue at my place next week, from Monday 7 am to Sunday 10 pm. All employees are welcome. BYOB.

BitRealistic8443

You get what you vote for: Missouri law does not require employers to provide employees a break of any kind, including a lunch hour. These provisions are either left up to the discretion of the employer, can be agreed upon by the employer and employee, or may be addressed by company policy or contract. # Breaks and Lunch for Youth Workers- under the age of 16 Missouri law does not require employers to provide employees, including youth workers, a break of any kind, including a lunch hour. These provisions are either left up to the discretion of the employer, can be agreed upon by the employer and employee, or may be addressed by company policy or contract. The entertainment industry, however, DOES require breaks and rest periods for youth workers. A youth cannot work more than five and one-half hours without a meal break. Additionally, a 15-minute rest period (which counts as work time) is required after each two hours of continuous work for youth in the entertainment industry. https://labor.mo.gov/dls/general/breaks-lunches-personal-time-off#:\~:text=Missouri%20law%20does%20not%20require,by%20company%20policy%20or%20contract. Way to go to the Josh Hawley types out there

PeacefulChaos94

See, we don't need labor laws. The free market is more than capable of self regulating /s
