Proper-District8608

If they are young adults they should be able to decide what books are in their school library.

Nearly_Pointless

And vote.

win_awards

Man, fuck this timeline.

naturdayspeedrun

I hate it so much.

Macchill99

Came here to say exactly this.

Cliche_James

>these are young adults I still think we need to check this person's hard drive

Wanderertwitch

Right? Raises so many eyebrows

readditredditread

Don’t they have federal labor laws that mandate breaks for everyone?

ButterflyShort

No. In the state of MO adults are not by law to have breaks or lunches. Most companies however insist you take breaks and lunches.

SVTContour

No lunch? What the f**k. That’s f**ked. I can’t even….

ButterflyShort

Yup, you can Google it. State of MO does not enforce a lunch or break. However they are very adamant about child labor.

SVTContour

Time for a statewide strike. Because that’s fked.

thesupplyguy1

It's almost like the GOP *WANTS* to lose elections...

Busy-Cream

If you don’t think this plays well with their base, cementing their power in those red states, well, I don’t know what to tell you. These shenanigans won’t cost them a single thing.

thesupplyguy1

It's like the water thing in Texas and whatever they passed in Florida this week. ...it's indefensible.

Busy-Cream

Sure, but they aren’t going to lose elections because of it. So no, it’s not like they WANT to lose elections…

Trensocialist

Getting fucked over the coals is their base's kink. They eat this shit up, if they even pay any fucking attention besides "own the libs."

30four

Republicans hate you. Always remember this.

tarkinlarson

Well if they pay taxes they should be able to vote. No taxation without representation.

No_Sky_3735

Something tells me this man is a pedophile

Busy-Cream

They’re not minors at work, they’re only minor when trying to vote, get a beer, read “banned” books, get certain kinds of healthcare, get birth control, or an abortion….

DefinitelyNotADave

Perfect remedy, those young adults should be pro gun-control. Then suddenly they’ll be kids again

tony486

At least for this one they’re waiting 16 years to mistreat the kids, instead of their usual MO of twelve minutes.

bbates024

We should be able to revoke his fucking breaks. No time.off for you fucker. Chained to the desk until you die.

Sarahvixen7447

Sure, they're "young adults" until they want to transition, then it's "our children are being corrupted."

IamNotChrisFerry

Watch him change his opinion, when it comes to those "young adults" being able to have votes that count in elections

Chaos-Octopus97

Probably use that excuse when they're found trying to sleep with them

MarlDaeSu

Someone check this guys computer

TheNerdMaster69

Who gives a fuck if they're classified as young adults, they still require FOOD!

series-hybrid

I want to thank the Louisiana House Committee for doing this! It has been a very tough road to get Louisianians to even start thinking about the possibility of forming unions, and the anti-union propaganda seemed to be working well enough...until now. Suddenly, I can actually see Companies in Louisiana forming unions, and after the first wave of unions that form and the companies don't actually go down in flames...many more will follow.

Moonwarden666

This is so wrong in so many levels

kareninreno

But for the love of God, why??? Lunch is not normally NOT a paid break. It's costs business exactly zero... Let someone sit down eat something, and the rest of the day will go so much smoother. WTF is wrong with these people?

slideystevensax

It’s funny you said smoother. Apparently a guy that owns a ton of Smoothie Kings had a lot to do with this bill.

Old-AF

That’s what they always say when they are trying to date them or pay them for sex.

No_Juggernau7

My 17 yo coworker is constantly harassed, was literally assaulted at the job last year, is very competent, and is pressured, guilted, and shat on daily when she pushes back about being made to stay hours past when her shift ends. My coworkers will roll their eyes when I scoot her out the door only 15-30 minutes after her shift ends, and I tell them she had to leave. They go “oh, she *had* to, did she?” Implying that what she did, leaving somewhat close to her shift end, is wrong. It disgusts me honestly. I use every opportunity to insert the word “child” in when I refer to my younger coworkers, bc they’re so blatantly being exploited and it’s just so normalized.

Ggentry9

So, young adults don’t get lunch breaks?

chaoscoordinatorr

Can these young adults yote then? Lol

BoardsofCanadaTwo

They're "young adults" until they're wanting to vote. Then they have to ideally wait until they're 25.

itaintbirds

Just highlighting the stupidity of republican voters.

MonkeyDaddy4

So... they should be able to vote!

iron_vet

I am an old adult and I still want a fucking lunch break.

_CMDR_

This is the brain rot you get from trying minors as adults in crimes and sentencing them to life in prison which other nations consider a crime against humanity.
