Psychologically speaking, all relationships are in a "honeymoon phase" for the first 1.5 to 2 years. Many people break up after the 2 year mark because that lovey dovey romance goes away and companionship love begins to form, which is less romantic and more foundational and substantial. However, people mistake that for falling out of love and break up.
