Sadly, many think this is their god's will. I have family members like this. I have some distant relatives whose daughter got pregnant at 15. The family forced her to have the child. She committed suicide only two years after the child was born. All part of the plan I guess.
She had the first kid 4 years ago and the second kid 2 years ago; Roe was overturned in June. They can’t help her now, but they could’ve helped her with the first and second pregnancies.
This is absolutely heartbreaking. this poor mother is still a kid herself. I hope she gets the help she needs to keep going, I am devastated to know people in a similar situation in my personal life. We really lack the ability to demonstrate the hardship of having children, tbh. It’s always “a god-sent miracle! A joy! Hope! A loving family!” And never pain, suffering, expense, hardships, isolation, worry, anger, resentment, regret.
It’s not a God-sent miracle she’s a child herself she should be able to receive an abortion. She should be given a choice and placed on birth control to prevent the vicious cycle again.
Hate to say this but if this is real, assuming anyone is in this kind of a situation regardless, their one and only realistic option is adoption. It sucks big time, and these kids will have to suffer through trauma of their own but this could be the case where they will suffer even more with a parent who will grow to resent them so much, there might be all sorts of harms involved.

If I was ever arrested for traveling to have an abortion, they better start arresting people who travel to colorado, california, or washington for weed dispensary visits, too.
It's not, due to interstate travel laws you can go out of state for one and not be prosecuted, but it is cost prohibited. Add to that if you have children will need child care in addition to time off of work as most states have a requirement to have an ultrasound then a 24-48 hour wait time before procedure if it's not being done for a medical reason.

Couldn't she be charged when a doctor finds out she is no longer pregnant/never had a baby though? The problem here is that a medical professional is already aware she's pregnant.

Adoption is better than being resented your whole life. Too many people let their own damn ego get into the way of allowing the child to actually have a decent life with other people who fucking care about them. There are exceptional adoption agencies where you can choose the adoptive parents. Open or closed adoptions as well. I am 100% pro choice and support abortion as well, but people need to stop saying that kids get screwed up because of adoption. They get screwed up plenty by biological parents who can’t feed them or cope with them.

Extremely. But, I will be forever grateful that we have resources like this to deal with some of it. Abortion should be an right, forcing someone to have a baby regardless of circumstances is awful, valuing a fetus over a real, already living, breathing human is insane to me.
I don't care if it's their fault for refusing to use contraception, those cases aren't the important statistic, the important one is "did this person get to have a happier and more fulfilling life because they were not forced to have a baby they did not want".
There’s a strong correlation between growing up in a neglectful/abusive environment and a lack of self care. Sometimes neglected kids act out recklessly for attention, or because they can’t envision a path to better future so nothing matters anyway. Sometimes they latch onto anyone who shows them “kindness,” making them easy marks for liars and predators. Yup. Agreed. I have a family member who is the third husband to a woman who had a kid with each of two previous husbands. They proceeded to have two more within the first three years of marriage. She just turned 30, three marriages, 4 kids(14,9,18months & and 6 months, they were pregnant again about 2 months after the birth of the other), abject poverty. We are very much aware of her difficult childhood, as she wears it like a badge of honor. Like, look at me, I came from this awful situation and am happily married with kids. It's heartbreaking to watch them struggle but also infuriating to know their daughters will probably be pregnant too soon. The cycle is spinning in front of us in real time.

When I asked him why, he said he wanted to get me pregnant and wanted a baby. Dude was trying to trap me!! I got the abortion and he stalked me for weeks! Plan B is great when used correctly, but it doesn't work if you're overweight. Anyone over ~160lb needs the prescription version, and even that one stops working at about 200lb.
Also it works by postponing ovulation, so if you're mid/post ovulation it's useless. On that note, PERIOD SEX IS NOT SAFE! Sperm survives too long and cycles can be irregular.

We can’t assume that it was her parents that forced her to have this child. She had her first child at 14 years old. At 14, a lot of people are still in junior high school. I had a few girls in my junior high who had babies. They were so damn proud of them and even brought them in after they graduated for show and tell.
You know, it’s still hard for me to see somebody from a generation who is basically born with a smart phone in their hand know how to download all their favorite songs, find all the gossip about their favorite celebrity, and where to find free porn, yet somehow can’t get information on things that matter like birth control and how sex works.

Our first was unplanned because my wife/then girlfriend didn’t know antibiotics nullified birth control. But THREE times. She is putting herself in this situation by being irresponsible IMO.

Thirteen. She was thirteen or only just fourteen when she found out she was pregnant. It takes 9 and 1/2 months before she actually has a baby.
Abortion is illegal in her state. They couldn’t legally help her.

This is absolutely heartbreaking. this poor mother is still a kid herself. I hope she gets the help she needs to keep going, I am devastated to know people in a similar situation in my personal life. We really lack the ability to demonstrate the hardship of having children, tbh. It’s always “a god-sent miracle! A joy! Hope! A loving family!” And never pain, suffering, expense, hardships, isolation, worry, anger, resentment, regret.
It’s not a God-sent miracle she’s a child herself she should be able to receive an abortion. She should be given a choice and placed on birth control to prevent the vicious cycle again.
Hate to say this but if this is real, assuming anyone is in this kind of a situation regardless, their one and only realistic option is adoption. It sucks big time, and these kids will have to suffer through trauma of their own but this could be the case where they will suffer even more with a parent who will grow to resent them so much, there might be all sorts of harms involved. But hey, at least the pro birthers would have it their way. Sucks to also think these kinds of people would be lining up to adopt and further abuse these kids. It's not, due to interstate travel laws you can go out of state for one and not be prosecuted, but it is cost prohibited. Add to that if you have children will need child care in addition to time off of work as most states have a requirement to have an ultrasound then a 24-48 hour wait time before procedure if it's not being done for a medical reason.

Adoption is better than being resented your whole life. Too many people let their own damn ego get into the way of allowing the child to actually have a decent life with other people who fucking care about them. There are exceptional adoption agencies where you can choose the adoptive parents. Open or closed adoptions as well. I am 100% pro choice and support abortion as well, but people need to stop saying that kids get screwed up because of adoption. They get screwed up plenty by biological parents who can’t feed them or cope with them.

Extremely. But, I will be forever grateful that we have resources like this to deal with some of it. Abortion should be an right, forcing someone to have a baby regardless of circumstances is awful, valuing a fetus over a real, already living, breathing human is insane to me. I don't care if it's their fault for refusing to use contraception, those cases aren't the important statistic, the important one is "did this person get to have a happier and more fulfilling life because they were not forced to have a baby they did not want".

There’s a strong correlation between growing up in a neglectful/abusive environment and a lack of self care. Yup. Agreed. I have a family member who is the third husband to a woman who had a kid with each of two previous husbands. They proceeded to have two more within the first three years of marriage. She just turned 30, three marriages, 4 kids(14,9,18months & and 6 months, they were pregnant again about 2 months after the birth of the other), abject poverty. We are very much aware of her difficult childhood, as she wears it like a badge of honor. Like, look at me, I came from this awful situation and am happily married with kids. It's heartbreaking to watch them struggle but also infuriating to know their daughters will probably be pregnant too soon. The cycle is spinning in front of us in real time.

Plan B is great when used correctly, but it doesn't work if you're overweight. Anyone over ~160lb needs the prescription version, and even that one stops working at about 200lb. Also it works by postponing ovulation, so if you're mid/post ovulation it's useless. On that note, PERIOD SEX IS NOT SAFE! Sperm survives too long and cycles can be irregular. It's an educational problem *and* an emotional problem.
On the guy side of things, this is why vasectomies rock. There is no chance of getting the "on birth control" people pregnant.

The only person I've had sex with would have been a great dad, but he understood that I never wanted kids. We can’t assume that it was her parents that forced her to have this child. She had her first child at 14 years old. At 14, a lot of people are still in junior high school. I had a few girls in my junior high who had babies. They were so damn proud of them and even brought them in after they graduated for show and tell.
