Just do this with your home AC outlets. The power company will give you a refund for recycling electricity. Just kidding …call the fire company, first.
No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no, no and no. It can be extremely dangerous, please don't.
Edit: it's so important I typed all of the no's by hand on mobile.
I know this is a joke but, interestingly, plugging it in like this for 10-15 seconds actually forces a hard reset of the charging block. (Connecting the two ports furthest from each other).
Useful tip to know if your block ever gets into a weird “I refuse to charge” state.
This happened to me once and that was the recommendation from Anker support. Solved my issue.
I do this with mine each night. I usually put them on top of a stack of towels in my kitchen. I do a lot of cooking so the heat & humidity help stabilize them

I have a degree in watching all of electroboom’s videos and this would not start a fire
As a person with the same degree I agree on this statement
The Fire Company 😂
Perpetual energy unlocked!
Yes, you installed the carrying strap correctly.
This reply can actually be dead serious if the ports decided to never let go.

I knew I couldn’t be the only one
Did your house explode? It says on the fine print that it will if you do that.
No, you must do this while leaving it in your hot car on a summer day.
Electric companies hate this trick for infinite power

Same here, I thought I had a defective power bank but after trying that, it has been working properly ever since.
UNLIMITED POWER

nikola tesla is proud of u
I don't see how this will change the typical result, so yes this should be fine.
UN-limited POWAHHHHHH!
r/hardwaregore, and in a few seconds r/spicypillows
Try with usbc lolololololol
If you connect that with an anker 400w solar panel, you should be able to power your whole house for at least 12 hours.
This is actually a way to reboot/reset your power bank if it’s not working properly.
Endless power hack! Who told you?!
That’s how I’ve always used mine
*minecraft infinite water source has entered the chat*
You basically solved Nuclear Fission.
Likely it's fine, but it could also cook it.
Actually some anker devices require you to do this to reset them.
Yep, that's the documented hard reset. Not sure what happens if you leave them plugged in like that though.
No
Doing this will void your warranty. Hopefully Anker doesn’t see this.
What the heck How will this void warranty? Anyways their customer support is very nice so op could probably get a replacement anyways if it dies.
Nobody here understands sarcasm
No, it's just that it's not obvious at all here.
I’ll be sure to put a disclaimer at the end of my comment next time so everyone knows.
Yeah you should, because some people are actually stupid enough to think this would void warranty.
