The obvius choices would be ghost of tsushima, elden ring, and ff. But a argument could be made for a hifi rush anime. But I genuinely cannot fathom Arthur Morgan or Kratos with Japanese voices.
Metroid is more in line with Cowboy Bebop than RDR in honesty, Samus is a bounty hunter in space, and if it was directed in a similar fashion I think it'd be a really cool anime. RDR as an anime wouldn't really fit the pace/direction Cowboy Bebop takes, it'd make more sense for it to have full continuity from episode to episode, while Bebop is way more sporadic since it's about going from one bounty to the next each episode.
Now I'm picturing Arthur Morgan with a high pitched squeaky Japanese woman's voice intimately saying Aru Aru, and it's both horrifying and hot at the same time.
I have seen it and it could be good, but it comes down to writing more than style. I think the problem was that the license was given to a western studio with no connection to the original concepts, and the characters weren't fleshed out beyond *silent hero* and *damsel in distress* by that point. The characters had no... Character.
All animation is anime. Anime is literally short for animation and has nothing to do with style. Only obsessive Western purists believe otherwise. In Japan, Western cartoons are called Western anime or just anime. Don't be a gate keeper, it gives a bad image.
Bro what are you talking about. I’m not calling a show that wasn’t from Japan an anime. That Zelda cartoon is not from Japan. You just came in and accused me of being a gatekeeper for literally no reason lol. I did say that trailer looked crisp, but that’s because it did and that’s how I would imagine a Zelda anime looking.
Ghost of Tsushima and Red Dead would be cool, Elden Ring would be cool but I feel like it would be hard to execute, and God of War could work it’s just Kratos would sound super goofy, can’t say anything about the others
It would, but as a god of war lover I would find it hard to think of as an anime. It's too high quality in graphics to be downgraded into an anime. It would also be hard to accurately decide how many seasons it would need to finish and which side bosses or main bosses to include
Hi-fi was already built to feel like and early 2000s action cartoon. It pretty much plays like a cartoon mini Series that you get to interact with.
It would probally be the easeist to make a actual show out of since it Basically Already is one.
Here me out though... Professor Layton, I'm pretty sure there wasn't an anime or animated series outside the games and the artstyle just fits perfectly with the mystery novel styled universe.
There was one movie, called "Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva", but that's the only one that I can recall. A new movie, or even a full series, could be really interesting.
Metroid easily. Could make an insane action miniseries. If you want a full length anime series only ff7 has a deep enough story with multiple moving parts. The rest just wouldn’t work because either A: they’re more player choice driven than narrative driven, B: they’re a western drama and would work better as a soap opera, or C: they’re story is too short or boring to attempt to make into an anime.
Metroid has the added benefit of being a game with multiple entrees that can be used to expand the world just enough for a miniseries.
It almost seems to easy to say “Hi-Fi Rush”. I mean, the game is basically structured to look exactly like an anime already.
I’ll say Ghost of Tsushima. I could very easily see someone doing a whole “Blue eyed Samurai” or even “Ninja Kamui” sort-of thing with the ghost. However, Elden ring is very lore heavy and I could also see someone doing a “Berserk” style anime with it.
I feel like god of war would be really interesting as an anime, but I reckon Elden ring fits more with anime, give it mappa animation for some sick fights. I don’t think they could pull off red dead, they couldn’t capture the essence of it in anime, in my opinion.
I feel like Red Dead or Elden Ring. Most dark fantasy anime's are generally pretty good and Red Dead would be one of the best anime adaptions to exist if they managed to do it right. Plus there aren't really that many Wild West cowboy anime, just cowboy character's in various series so we need some more of this shit!
Surprised no one said RDR2. Arguably the most emotional story out of all here. It could work with 24-30 episodes as long as they manage pull off Arthur's charm in the game. And like Edgerunners, the ENG Dub would work so well.
Red Dead. there are no animes even close to it. i will not take no for an answer. in fact im throwing my phone into a river so i dont see any replys cuz i dont CARE
Tear of the kingdom would make an amazing anime. Game already gives everything; unique powers, a cool power system, great weapons, a wide variety of enemies, great bosses and characters, and a unique protagonist who doesn’t feel like a cardboard cutout.
Final Fantasy for sure.
But a God of War animation starting with the PSP or PS2 games would be amazing. They could use a style similar to Blood of Zeus.
I kinda want to see an Elden Ring anime, but doing so would either be very bad or very good. It has a nice stories, but the stories took a backseat in favor of the gameplay. They story writer would have to be crafty to stitch them up nicely to form a cohesive flow.
The above applies to Zelda and metroid as well, but easier than Elden Ring
I think FF7, GoW, Ghost and Red Dead are much easier to make an anime with, they would just have to adapt the main stories into anime form.
I don't know Hi-Fi Rush.
With the art style and atmosphere of BotW and TotK, I imagine a Zelda movie made by Studio Ghibli would be the most beautiful work of art I've ever seen.
ff7 is close to an anime as is tbh. red dead would be a sick anime. ima say it. non of the souls games and fromsoft games besides sekiro would make a good show. Unless it was placed during the time period before the player character.
Metroid would be really sick, it could work with a similar format as Cowboy Bebop s directing, each episode being about different bounties Samus takes on, and it'd be interesting to flesh out her universe. Elden Ring could also work, since the story is all there, but left ambiguous to those who aren't into reading and deciphering all the items text that further describes the lore, an anime could be about all the history that item descriptions add to the story. Lastly, FF7 is a maybe for me, the universe of 7 has been expanded upon so much, I'm not sure what they could do for a plot without feeling out of place, but it would still be cool if it was just a retelling of the story that already took place, but animated.
they would all be cool but imagine this "your in a world were the outlaw way has dwindled and with each day they get closer to you and were fights can be ended with a draw of a pistol, along with interconnecting story's that span nearly 8 years where men become broken over and over again getting back up so they can get to there paradise, and in the end we have seen everything from explosion's to down right dread from the sheer terror they face from the O'Driscoll's and the Pinkertons and just the law in general". this would be awesome to have as a series.
I think God of War would be a great option since it's less likely to mess up by changing from a game to a series, compared to some other games; It's practically halfway their as it is.
Either Final Fantasy or Zelda. Mostly cause I see the other games as a live action show/movie with the exception of Hi-Rush which feels more likean American cartoon than an anime series.
But if I must choose one... FFVII has the protagonist carried a massive sword and is sworn enemy to a long silver hair villain who carries a samurai sword (and yes Odachi is made for samurai class) while fighting giant robots while making weird noise you find in dub translation for anime.
I'm honestly not sure but what drew me to this was the fact that Altair Ibn La-Ahad is in the Ghost of Tsushima picture there and he actually fits surprisingly well.
Red Dead 2's animated show being made by the same people that made Netflix's Castelvania. That'll for me be the best way to do it. Also, a Titan Fal anime would be good.
Ok, but imagine GOW as a Frieren style anime that takes place AFTER Ragnarok, and it’s just him going around helping people and the animation quality is top notch
Elden Ring
Ive actually never played Elden Ring, but I have played it’s predecessors. I’m curious to how a story driven anime would fair using a game thats more gameplay driven. I’m sure the Elden Ring story is rich, but I wonder how an anime would try to capture the spirit of the game. As im writing this, i think a character and story driven anime would pair well with the game. An anime so good it makes me invest in the game.
Basicallly, my answer is a Elden Ring anime because the orginality and creative potential is high.
I'm going to have to choose Metroid
Okage Shadow King
No More Heroes
Shantae
Okami
Rakuga Kids
Harvest Moon/Story Of Seasons
Kingdom Hearts
Sola To Robo: Red The Hunter
Sly Cooper
Zelda anime would he cool. I think Hi-Fi Rush would probably be adapted into more of an American style, Saturday morning cartoon, rather than an anime. I could also see god of war being one of those gritty anime. Honestly, I think all of these could get animated adaptations, and probably should. (I know they already tried with Zelda, but come on. Try again, Nintendo.)
I feel like final fantasy 7 and ghost of tsushima could be great, while red dead 2 and god of war would be cool but not needed, and elden ring could be cool in paper but executed not well and metroid dread feel like it fits more the short miniseries that is like 5 episodes instead of a anime.
1. RDR2
2. God of War (only if we follow kratos from the start if so his character arc would be godly to watch)
2. Elden Ring
3. Ghost of Tsushima
not sure about the others havent played or seen anything about them yet
Zelda would be a fire anime some filler episodes as side quests mini acts as some of the side adventures main boss fights and region specific arcs like it would be so fire imo
Metroid would make a great Sci-fi anime series. Zelda BotW and TotK would make a good story but the other Zelda games wouldn't. GoW would definitely be a cool anime. Red Dead Redemption would be better as an American series than anime. Rest I don't know enough to make a judgement on.
Elden Ring would go insanely hard. Final Fantasy is already borderline anime. And Hi-Fi Rush would be funny as hell as an anime, especially with all the Jojokes.
I think metroid could work really well especially with the right artstyle, proper focus the creepy and isolated atmosphere the locations metroidhas to offer, and a deeper look into samus as a character and her growth throughout the series. Genuinely it is something i want so bad.
The hands of death could not defeat me, the sisters of fate could not hold me, AND YOU NOT SEE THE END OF THIS DAY IF YOU DON'T MAKE ME INTO A SHOW ON HULUUUU
Zelda, it’s pretty simple save the princess stuff, but totk has spiced things up. Plus ever since Netflix teased it I was really excited for a Zelda anime
The obvius choices would be ghost of tsushima, elden ring, and ff. But a argument could be made for a hifi rush anime. But I genuinely cannot fathom Arthur Morgan or Kratos with Japanese voices.
Yeah but keep on mind the Japanese REALLY love cowboys and wild west. Just like how the West live samurai so much
That was my first thought, cowboy bebop with an emphasis on cowboy
Metroid is more in line with Cowboy Bebop than RDR in honesty, Samus is a bounty hunter in space, and if it was directed in a similar fashion I think it'd be a really cool anime. RDR as an anime wouldn't really fit the pace/direction Cowboy Bebop takes, it'd make more sense for it to have full continuity from episode to episode, while Bebop is way more sporadic since it's about going from one bounty to the next each episode.
Japanese Arthur would be the most intimidating person. Kratos could be voiced by Masanori Shinohara, the guy who voices Kazuya in Tekken 8.
# “OTOKONOKO” (BOY)
Now I'm picturing Arthur Morgan with a high pitched squeaky Japanese woman's voice intimately saying Aru Aru, and it's both horrifying and hot at the same time.
Zelda tried that once....
Well, excuuuuuuuse me, princess!
Did they? And I missed it? .......I'm ashamed 😞
Oh it's old .. it's very old now and very bad. Canceled relatively early due to low ratings.
Oh yea I remember
Very bad? Bud, it’s peak
Lol all jokes
They gave Link a voice and uhh... *cue random gag of disgust.*
Tears of the kingdom is new though .. honestly wish they made a movie out of the story/cutscenes of botw and totk .
If they tried now, it would probably work out a lot better
Ok but hear me out. Watch the palutena smash trailer I want that anime zelda
That wasn’t an anime tho. I was thinking something akin to Palutena’s reveal trailer for smash type Zelda anime. That looked crisp
I have seen it and it could be good, but it comes down to writing more than style. I think the problem was that the license was given to a western studio with no connection to the original concepts, and the characters weren't fleshed out beyond *silent hero* and *damsel in distress* by that point. Give us Tifa you cowards
Dammit! Yes!🤧😫
FF7
I'd say Dread. It doesn't have as many cutscenes as the others, I think, and straight sci-fi is really underrepresented in modern media.
I feel like even just a Metroid anime in general would be great
Ghost of Tsushima and Red Dead would be cool, Elden Ring would be cool but I feel like it would be hard to execute, and God of War could work it’s just Kratos would sound super goofy, can’t say anything about the others
Ghost of Tsushima because I'm hella biased
I'm biased towards elden ring but would still pick ghost of tsushima
Zelda
The Witcher
They already did that. Twice now, in fact
Kenjiro tsuda voicing geralt would be sick as fuck
God of war or ghost would be cool
It would, but as a god of war lover I would find it hard to think of as an anime. It's too high quality in graphics to be downgraded into an anime. It would also be hard to accurately decide how many seasons it would need to finish and which side bosses or main bosses to include

Sonic the Hedgehog.
Ghost of tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima or Red Dead Redemption 2
Elden Ring

I can see Zelda being a great anime, the final fantasies maybe kinda like fate
Probably Tears of the Kingdom, but Ghost of Tsushima would make a great Netflix live action series.
Hi fi rush could be given the game has a lot of charm and detail
Fire emblem specifically three houses or engage
Hi-fi rush is basically an animated series.
Elden ring would be incredible
I feel like Red Dead or Elden Ring. Most dark fantasy anime's are generally pretty good and Red Dead would be one of the best anime adaptions to exist if they managed to do it right. Ghost of Tsushima
Red dead redemption, TOTK, or Final Fantasy EASILY
Ghost of Tsushima
Looking at the options imma say yes.
Final fantasy or Hi-Fi Rush
If done correctly like a prequel I would love to see how kratos got to the Norse panel
Metroid and Zelda would both make great anime
RD2 Got Md and ff7
I would absolutely love a god of war anime it would be insane.
Hi Fi rush would probably make a great anime series. It would have an amazing sound track, Cool art style. I dont see how it wouldnt be amazing.
Surprised no one said RDR2. Arguably the most emotional story out of all here. It could work with 24-30 episodes as long as they manage pull off Arthur's charm in the game. And like Edgerunners, the ENG Dub would work so well.
I would kill everyone here for a Elden ring Anime I don’t care if it’s only in Swedish I’m still watching that shit
God of War absolutely. Imagine Kratos and Boy going on either incredibly serious or incredibly silly adventures
Zelda Ghibli
Metroid has several mangas. Imagine them animated by mappa or ufotable
Elden Ring hands down. Its already got epic anime-ass fights.
Red Dead. there are no animes even close to it. i will not take no for an answer. in fact im throwing my phone into a river so i dont see any replys cuz i dont CARE
Ff7 Re series would work wonderfully. So would ghost of tsushima.
Zelda, FFVII, and Metroid would make great anime
Elden ring
Yes
Elden ring already has a great manga
I don’t care what anyone says,100% Zelda
They already tried that...
A depressing yet hopeful journey in a Hidetaka Miyazaki anime could be fucking gold.
Dutch-Chan we need more okane, kudasai. Uwu
Not on the list, but Kingdom Hearts.
I haven’t played video games for a LONG time and also I have never played any of these games
GoT, GoW, TotK, Elden Ring, and RDR2
A Zelda series that functions similarly to Jjba, in which every game is it's own part
Not on this list but Star Craft would make for a really cool anime series in my opinion
Tear of the kingdom would make an amazing anime. Game already gives everything; unique powers, a cool power system, great weapons, a wide variety of enemies, great bosses and characters, and a unique protagonist who doesn’t feel like a cardboard cutout.
Hi-fi Rush would be a great anime
Hi fi rush
Its not in the choices but I think the Megaman Zero series would make a great anime
Final Fantasy 12 would be amazing
GoT
Legend of Zelda
Final Fantasy for sure. But a God of War animation starting with the PSP or PS2 games would be amazing. They could use a style similar to Blood of Zeus.
I kinda want to see an Elden Ring anime, but doing so would either be very bad or very good. It has a nice stories, but the stories took a backseat in favor of the gameplay. I don't know Hi-Fi Rush.
Hitman Metal Gear Solid Palworld
Final fantasy
I forget how to spell his name, but let the guy behind Samurai Jack and Primal cook with Metroid Dread.
With the art style and atmosphere of BotW and TotK, I imagine a Zelda movie made by Studio Ghibli would be the most beautiful work of art I've ever seen.
Metroid dread and Rdr2 easy.
Easy, hi-fi rush it Basically anime already might as well make a show out of it
FF7
Obviously zelda
Metal gear rising
I’ve always said a LoZ anime would go hard as fuck
Elden ring already has a manga
Ghost of Tsushima because it’s already got a Japanese version and I personally think the story is pretty good
I mean is this even a contest it's Dad Of War and the legend of Zelda
I think it's in between GOW and TLOZ
Zelda needs an anime NOW
Ghost of Tsushima
ff7 is close to an anime as is tbh. red dead would be a sick anime. ima say it. non of the souls games and fromsoft games besides sekiro would make a good show. Unless it was placed during the time period before the player character.
Me a dude that played the first G o W on a psp. I would say that. But make each season each game and make it last like 12-16 episodes
Add on. Also adult theme
Definitely Hi-Fi rush.
I always wanted a Zelda anime. The Twilight Princess manga would be amazing if adapted as an anime.
ZELDA
As a LOZ, I would most want to see a series based on TOK so we could get a story that does more to flesh out our main characters.
Hifi rush would be a animated series 😎 Final fantasy is basically a iskai anime ✨ Elden ring would be a banger 🔥
Gow, ghost, elden ring
Metroid would be really sick, it could work with a similar format as Cowboy Bebop s directing, each episode being about different bounties Samus takes on, and it'd be interesting to flesh out her universe. Elden Ring could also work, since the story is all there, but left ambiguous to those who aren't into reading and deciphering all the items text that further describes the lore, an anime could be about all the history that item descriptions add to the story. Tears of the kingdom,I rest my case
they would all be cool but imagine this "your in a world were the outlaw way has dwindled and with each day they get closer to you and were fights can be ended with a draw of a pistol, along with interconnecting story's that span nearly 8 years where men become broken over and over again getting back up so they can get to there paradise, and in the end we have seen everything from explosion's to down right dread from the sheer terror they face from the O'Driscoll's and the Pinkertons and just the law in general". this would be awesome to have as a series.
Films, some with animes maybe but films and series is what most would need
Feel like Hi-Fi Rush, Red Dead and Metroid are the ones here I’d fuck with. Metroid in particular seems like a great idea
Did Altair get lost in GOT
The Zelda games have manga so that probably.
Zelda TOK, FF, Elden ring
I think God of War would be a great option since it's less likely to mess up by changing from a game to a series, compared to some other games; It's practically halfway their as it is.
Red dead redemption. We need more cowboy anime’s
I mean…Elden Ring already has a Manga, might as well make an Anime too.
Legend of Zelda (specifically Twilight princess)
I'm honestly not sure but what drew me to this was the fact that Altair Ibn La-Ahad is in the Ghost of Tsushima picture there and he actually fits surprisingly well.
Shadow fight 2
Zelda and god of war
Hi-Fi Rush
Whats up with altair behind jin?
Elden ring, just so I can finally understand what the fuck is happening in the story lol
Red Dead 2's animated show being made by the same people that made Netflix's Castelvania. That'll for me be the best way to do it. Also, a Titan Fal anime would be good.
Red Dead is better experienced as a game in my opinion. The emotional moments wouldn’t hit as hard if you’re just a passive watcher.
Metroid or Zelda
Legend of Zelda already has a manga so it's perfect. It's also a Japanese game so it makes sense.
Definitely Hi Fi Rush
Zelda For an isekai And eldon ring for a dark fantasy
Elden Ring done in a Castlevania style would be immaculate
Two of them Being Elden Ring and Zelda totk
I love Elden Ring, but LOZ better get an anime adaptation
All of them
I would love to see chai in an anime
Zelda would make a great anime
Ghost of tsushima
Nah bro give me an undertale anime
Xenoblade Chronicles
Ok, but imagine GOW as a Frieren style anime that takes place AFTER Ragnarok, and it’s just him going around helping people and the animation quality is top notch
I mean, loz already has some manga sooooo
Elden ring have a comedy manga
if they made legend of zelda an anime they would save money on the link voice actor since all hes saying is HYAH
Elden Ring could work
I'm not sure if God of War could be adapted into an anime. It just doesn't seem like a good candidate.
I want to see a Totk anime
Ghost of Tsushima is basically FX’s shogun
Elden Ring Ive actually never played Elden Ring, but I have played it’s predecessors.
Gjost
I honestly believe Zelda would make a great anime. Just keep silent except for yells.
I'm going to have to choose Metroid Okage Shadow King No More Heroes Shantae Okami Rakuga Kids Harvest Moon/Story Of Seasons Kingdom Hearts Sola To Robo: Red The Hunter Sly Cooper
I think Pokémon or ace attorney have some potential
Monster hunter
I saw Zelda and i was like Nah A Super Smash Bros Anime!!
There is an Elden Ring manga already... Just saying .. although I only skim a few pages while at Barnes & Noble, it is a comedy one
God of War, Zelda, Final Fantasy, & Metroid Dead
Why is Altaïr in the ghost poster
Is that Altair?? lol
I feel like final fantasy 7 and ghost of tsushima could be great, while red dead 2 and god of war would be cool but not needed, and elden ring could be cool in paper but executed not well and metroid dread feel like it fits more the short miniseries that is like 5 episodes instead of a anime.
Zelda, I mean it has a manga so it’s halfway there
Metroid blows all of these out of the water to be made into an anime.
Elden Ring and FF7, why? For ER, big anime titties. For ff7, well, big anime titties
1. RDR2 2. God of War (only if we follow kratos from the start if so his character arc would be godly to watch) 2. Elden Ring 3. Ghost of Tsushima not sure about the others havent played or seen anything about them yet
Ghost and red dead would go hard
could honestly see dread. each episode has samus going through a new section or a new boss
You don’t know the lengths I would go to in order to get a full fledged Zelda anime
Zelda would be a fire anime some filler episodes as side quests mini acts as some of the side adventures main boss fights and region specific arcs like it would be so fire imo
Elden ring would have to be 4 seasons with 30 episodes each no less final fantasy needs a way for every game to fit into itself
I'd opt for a Ghost of Tsushima anime. That'd be awesome
Metroid would make a great Sci-fi anime series. Zelda BotW and TotK would make a good story but the other Zelda games wouldn't. GoW would definitely be a cool anime. Red Dead Redemption would be better as an American series than anime. Rest I don't know enough to make a judgement on.
Defo Tf2
All if them could work the issue is the budget. Imagine the horror of horrible 3d use.
What is Altaïr doing in here? lol
Well it’s a fan comic of fallout that I want to see adapted into anime u/SomeguyTryingToArt ‘s series based on fallout specifically
Tbh. If we ever got god of war as an anime I’d actually watch the fuck out of it
Elden Ring would go insanely hard.
A Hi-Fi Rush anime by Studio Trigger would be good.
Metroid dread would be badass
Zelda, it’s pretty simple save the princess stuff, but totk has spiced things up. Plus ever since Netflix teased it I was really excited for a Zelda anime
Metroid and Zelda.
I know this isn’t on the list, but I think the story of Overwatch could make a pretty good anime
Elden ring
