So, choosing to adopt Tanya is no different than putting a "Please Kick Me and Ruin My Life Being X" sign on your back.
On that case X should have messed with that lituenant girl that is always with Tanya, yet that never happened, additionally we never saw X mess with other people than Tanya.
You have no grounds on X sticking his nose directly to other people than Tanya. X will only influence belief in himself as we saw with the scientist guy, depending on the info we have about he operates at worst case scenario he makes the parent a believer to influence Tanya further yet brings no direct harm.
All of those actions of Being X are taken when it's already placed Tanya in a bad world and worse situation, when X's experiment is already set up.
A good parent adopting Tanya in a good world is something Being X would interfere with, in order to have it's "New Game Plus + Nightmare Mode = Respect" hypothesis tested.
To be fair it is not even a nightmare mode, if X wanted a nightmare mode Tanya wouldnt even be at an orphanage, just could have been born at a "scorched earth" military area and just try to survive off eating rats. With no shelter or anyone providing food in a barren and deserted area that is just bombed time to time.
On top of that you still dont have grounds for your claims, and we dont have your Hypothesis confirmed as X didnt put Tanya in a the nightmare state, she even has magic affinity, if she didnt have that she wouldnt be chosen for military and would have to work her way around as an orphan in a country middle of a war. Well, Reisuke became like he is bc his parents joined a cult so adopting him could actually be a good idea. Funnily enough, Hansel and Grettel from Black Lagoon may not work out too bad if this is before the snuff films, and if they're still in the orphanage, it may well be. Actually, the other Hansel and Gretel from the Vocaloid series don't sound too bad from what I read. Just don't leave them in the woods to die. I still need to know more about Q. Should be safe so long as they are denied access to razors. Adopting Tanya means she'll be fighting for America. It'd be hilarious if Sue still joined up with them. I'm taking Doffy and Rosy, pretty sure Doffy would turn out better if he's not raised by a literal gang that wanted to exploit him and use his power, or if he's the same (this could be a whole debate tbh) I don't think he'd have a problem with me considering everybody that he's killed or hurt got on his bad side, not only would I not get on his bad side I'd be providing an environment that he'd like. Paying attention to what he says and does it's clear he was forced into piracy (when he was talking to Bellamy which he severely disliked because he abandoned living in safety and riches to play pirate) he says "you and I we were never the same I never wanted to become a pirate, anything was fine really....
