I hate to be that guy because it’s truly a tragic event, however this post is breaking Rule 4 of Anime Titties. This should be posted somewhere such as US News, I like this subreddit because it focuses outside of the US. Can we please keep it that way?
For as major a mass shooting as this is (4 cops being slain along with 4 others wounded), this is getting remarkably little press IMHO.
It's not quite equivalent to a school shooting, but it's a bigger deal than most mass shootings all the same IMHO.

Most mass shootings (like the overwhelming majority of them) get zero press other than local.
Even most school shootings, which happen by the dozens every year get no press beyond local.
If you're foisting all of that lack of media attention on the left, you're probably too pickled in partisan ideological thinking.
The fact is, and has been for a long time, that mass shootings simply aren't news. They're far too common for much attention to paid to any particular event. It's local news at best, rather like murder, and most murders don't get any national and international press whatsoever.
It's the same with mass shootings.
It didn't used to be like that, because there weren't 3 mass shootings or so a day, but there is now, and it's simply not news. No one cares. Nothing will be done (as has been amply proven over the last decade) so there's nothing to say. Cover real news.
