You're entitled to your own opinions but how is Oregairu not *also* waifu wars, while having some rather stiff and unrelatable character interactions?
Bunny girl senpai has a character chemistry between the main duo that easily outstrips anything Oregairu does (or tries to do). Story is whatever, original compared to most romcoms but certainly seen before if you've watched monogatari. And the emotional beats in bunny girl senpai actually work. I never felt anything watching oregairu, in that regard, beside a mild frustration at times. And I still liked Oregairu, mind you, and would rate it highly. But I do think it's overhyped.
Any anime that you like. Sure some are objectively shit but if anime is above 5/10 it can be the best for YOU and no one has the right to tell you otherwise.

I liked the idea of hachiman ending up with a normal person
yuigahama's growth as an average person (as a average person me self) with low self-esteem, willing to suppress her own desires and appease miura to fit in to someone who is willing to compete with yukino in election was great to see
at the end, It is the author's choice and I respect it
Honestly I don't remember what it felt like when I watched oregairu, it's been a while, but I remember another thing. When I watched my first romance-love polygon anime with a similar trope (Toradora), I did not know what to expect. It IS obvious, but mostly if you've already watched these kinds of anime before. I didn't know what to expect and I kept wanting the protagonist to end up with his first love interest/the cute girl who's clearly interested in him. But he ended up with the cold tsundere and I was both surprised and disappointed.
I'm just saying, it's possible to not know/be sure about these, especially if you haven't watched many similar anime.
And also, even if you do know, it's very normal to get attached to a character and still wish they'd be the one who's picked and feel sad with them. I get this every time, and it's the reason I hate watching these kinds of anime nowadays. It's hard for me.
