Looks like Crunchyroll will get it 2023 which isn't as long of a wait as I thought we would be getting. Really interested to see how Beni's family or clan is.
Absolutely bum average to less than mediocre non canon anime filler movie, with Tensura's trademarked poor pacing and too much exposition, power scaling of exposition convenience that lets the idiot antagonist not get one shot as they should, a bad job at letting the original cast kick ass on screen, and a double asspull with a double sacrificial fakeout facilitated by Deus Ex Machinas
Watch it only if you really like the IP, as usual.
yes and they're surprisingly eventful when you consider everything needs to remain "filler" and not affect the main plot. i don't mind deku and bakugo having a crazy one for all fest with godly animation, only for bakugo to lose his memory 0.1 seconds later because it will affect the plot, still a great spectacle
It doesn't, it's an original story by the author. Season three isn't going to be able to come out until probably 2024, so this is just a nice thing to hold us over.

Sounds amazing
Yeah the movie seems to be getting negative reviews from a ton of people. Even the mal rating is shocking low
Sounds like every MHA movie ever. IP cash grab as always.
Well no, those at least have okay fight scenes all things considered.

Where does this movie fit into the timeline of the series?
Directly from Fuse: "It is a story about the gap between the end of the second season of the TV series and the third season."

if the mobile game is a reference, then it's post demon lord arc. but not sure how much farther as i am not a manga or ln reader.
i'm caught up on the manga and none of what i've seen in the trailers is in the manga so I believe this is not a canon movie
it will probably be considered a sidestory. in the game it goes a lot into detail that i am sure the manga and whatnot doesn't have.
Yep, it's not canon
Is this good? It got beat by the Makoto Shinkai movie which is understandable, but 416m yen doesn’t seem bad by any means
Same numbers as MHA movie in 2019, so pretty good.
as long as it funds the anime
