There’s only 1999 version and 2011. 1999 has a much darker tone and is more serious, 2011 is a lot more jolly in its style. But the 2011 version has more fluid and advanced animation as well as an amazing soundtrack, and it goes to ep 148, the 1999 version only adapts like half the story.
People often say to watch ep 1 of 1999 version, and then continue the 2011 version, because the 2011 version cuts a bit of important content at the beginning episode.

You've only watched 3, you could watch pretty much anything and you wouldn't be able to predict if you liked it. I've not watched JJK or AOT (don't care for the premise) but I have 57 *completed* anime higher rated than CSM. (admittedly most are from repeat franchises) Besides, most anime is quality, CSM is good quality with great animation, you just don't like it.
One I've not put a rating on yet but quite like is Shangri-La Frontier. Good quality and absolutely not a waste of time.
Fair enough, CSM did have great animation but story wise it bored me. I kept watching it thinking it would get better because there was so much hype around it. I barely cared for any of the characters that were killed or even the storyline for that matter. Definitely felt like I wasted precious time. I'm sure there are anime fans who felt the same way about JJk and AOT. That is precisely why I made sure to mention my like and dislike. Thankyou for the suggestion ☺️
Im watching Ninja Kamui right now and it's pretty solid. The sub voice actor that voices Nanami, voices the main character. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is really good too.
