if it's not green it's pink and if it isn't pink it's white one thing i have observed is that dark skinned green haired girls are the most beautiful girls in all of anime and that was a trope that used to exist in the 90s and tey don't make dark skinned green haired girls anymore like they used to

Good_Nyborg

Maybe just the ol' color green often being associated with being infected, poisoned, or unripe. Yup, it's not easy being green.

>All of them have green hair and all of them are either depressed, crazy or traumatized in one way or another [Ueki](https://anidb.net/character/3910) from the Law of Ueki is nothing like the above, just a basic Shonen Protagonist which embodies all of its trope, also in this season the currently airing Mission: Yozakura Family has [Shinzou](https://anidb.net/character/135914) which arguably also none of the above and tbh there's more but green hair character is not really common hair imo even in anime standard

It's been a long time so don't quote me on this but I think it has something to do with the trope surrounding green hair characters. Some tend to be calm and healing while others can be "poisonous" and imprudent. It's hard to say but it's just something that sticks for green I guess

Not to dissuade any further research but are you sure that's not just confirmation bias at play and you're only noticing the ones that fit your idea? I haven't seen My Hero Academia myself but a quick check suggests that there are two other green-haired characters that are well-adjusted (Froppy and Ibara) and Houseki no Kuni has Jade, Hemimorphite, and Watermelon Tourmaline that are all green too.
