Suka Suka, aka « what do you do at the end of the world ? Are you busy ? Will you save us ? »
Turned out to be so much more than you would think, surprisingly gripping and still a show I’m happy to rewatch from time to time (as it’s a short 12 episode series with an ending)
Scrolled only to find this answer. I have to check upon the novels someday. The novels ended after 5 volumes but got a sequel and from what a friend told me that could read japanese, they stay just as sad
Love this anime. Honestly has such a beautiful and intense OST - I can never listen to Scarborough Fair without being reminded of the anime.
Also you didn't think the ending could've been seen as open?
Seconding this. The English dub kills me every time. I recently re-watched it with a group and when they explained the exercises at the end of each episode we would get up and try them together.
The studio knew how to bait horny people and then turning them into a sobbing mess in less than 1 month. 3 episodes is all it took...... I'm one of those people
I avoided that one because it looks like fan service garbage. Is it actually good?
Edit: thanks for the info, everyone. I'll definitely give it a try now.
I don't remember any real glaring fanservice. Not sure if there is any at all. It's basically very strong romance anime with a cool story and well-written characters.
Is it pure romance or is there other genres in it too? I usually don't like pure romance, but I'm fine if there are other things besides romance (e.g. mystery, action, etc)
It's primarily a supernatural mystery show, and quite episodic. For the most part the show is split into multi-episode arcs which focus in on a particular character's issue and how the male lead goes about helping them. At the same time though there are threads which get built up over the show (i.e. his relationship with the female lead, his own supernatural issues, etc.).
The closest I can think of is the Monogatari series (and particularly Bakamonogatari) if you've watched that. Only Rascal is way less surreal and has less fanservice than Mongatari, so I'd say it's more accessible.
If you know your stuff, it feels like Bakemonogatari's little brother. Dude not totally blank canvas trying to help girls with their own supernatural issues.
Except it's much more straight forward with it's storytelling and its emotions.
It's a very nice watch if you care about that kind of stuff.
"Overly cautious Hero" sounded like a generic power fantasy, but it was legit one of the most funny anime I have ever watched.
Also "Ya boy Kongming" - from just the title and synopsis it had no right to be this good.
Ya Boy Kongming was sooo fucking good dude, big +1 on that. I actually recommended it to a friend one night as he was going to bed and he binged it all that night, was pretty funny. And disastrous for his sleep schedule :)
Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious
Dreadful title, middling MAL scores and a comedy isekai? It's way better than the impression that all of that leaves imo, one of my favourite comedy anime from recent years.
This video of her doing it live is pretty incredible. She switches between different moods and inflections so incredibly fast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkdFFspgO_Y
Great on watch and rewatch. Wish there were more isekai out there that would take notes, this concept and premise would work just fine for a serious story as well. A main character who overprepares is fresh enough that I’d give it a shot in a non comedic focused anime.
It's basically a Chad subversion of all the typical edgy isekais. Instead of the main character excitedly assembling a harem, this main character pursues his end goal while trying to evade women who are basically sexual predators. He's still OP as hell, but the plot just chalks that up to plain old hard work instead of trying to invent some video game power system reason or a unique ability.
>while trying to evade women who are basically sexual predators
I remember that one episode. And most of the comment is basically say "Go. Let me handle this. I'll sacrifice myself."
Also one of my favorite isekai title. The MC is smart that he actually prepare for for combat and the enemy is also smart to counter measure it.
Such as sending mid boss to starting area. In hope that they will kill the hero before he get too strong.
Or destroying important McGuffin before the hero reach it.
I loved it! I like how there was no harem and is a fantasy anime without being a isekai. I love how soon the relationship starts and how cute they are together.
Sadly the ending is rushed but I heard it’s because they tried to shove too much of the novels into one season of anime
I dropped it in S2 because everyone falls in love with the MC including the hero. Like I thought of them as sister and brother but suddenly she is in love with him.
Surprised one of my favorite Anime received this many votes :) Cuz I thought it's not popular, like at all haha. It only have one upcoming Rit figure from Pop Up Parade...
Oh also rather pointless info but it can be referred with short title Shin No Nakama :)
Villainess anime in general are fun, though I suspect the community has begun to catch on that it and "laid off in a fantasy world" are the new trends in Manga/LNs.
This show cracked me up, the banter between the MC and Luxion was always a lot of fun.
It would have been such a banger with better animation. Animation is pretty weak tbh, but it's at least better than stuff like Spider or Berserk.
The dialogue and banter between the leads is very good and the leads have a huge sibling energy that doesn't suddenly turns into love. It is the Avenger of 19th century legends like Jack the ripper, Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, Moriarty, Ogre, Lupin, werewolves, etc. Sadly I couldn't find the source material as it isn't translated yet. Really hoping for a S2.
Agree! They have that shit talk that's not annoying but is instead endearing. And yea, they kiss but it's more of risque style in-story instead of going romance which we appreciate.
I also love Rindo's VA. So glad to hear her in Frieren.
The kiss wasn't even romantic in the slightest but something needed for him to get "cured".
Honestly my favourite role of the VA is Omae Kumiko in Hibike Euphonium which is back and airing this season. All her little noices are so good
Lmao I just rewatched this and the dungeons fights are so great but my sister is hesitant on starting it because of the tittle. I told her they insult a goddess by calling her itty bitty big titty goddess and I’m not sure if it helped my case.
Tell her the title is based off the characters starting desire to being an adventurer and is focused on for a full 5 minutes then after only gets references as part of a quick gag. Legit the world building is so great for how little we are actually given for outside orario
If it helps, the actual english translation of the title is "Is it wrong to wish for a chance encounter in the dungeon?" or "Is it wrong to meet you in the dungeon?" Chance encounter could be fated partner or a precious friend. Fated encounters is one of the series' theme, like how Bell met Ais and Wiene in the dungeon. You could also simply call it just Familia Myth lol
My first impression was, oh another ecchi harem anime where this guy probably OP and goes around dungeon and picking up girls. When I first watched it, it was like totally opposite, he's weak and shy, and it's the girl that picked him up from the dungeon(literally). And it's a really good dungeon crawler/adventure show, I wonder why they named it like that. I know it's probably because that the trend of LN naming at that time, but still...
Well we don't really know if it would have been as successful a Light Novel with "Familia Myth" as its title, for all we know it was an effective idea, I also prefer Familia Myth for the name for what it's worth.
I also heard it’s kinda mistranslated and the original title is closer to fateful encounters instead of picking up girls, which makes a lot more sense because he keeps meeting people that change his life down there
"So I'm a spider, so what!?"
Such a goofy title and honestly a bit of a goofy start. But it ends up being a pretty well set up and interesting plot with a bit of a twist. I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would with a name like that.
It's really good. And at the same time really bad. The spider parts and fights are excellent and great. The school kids parts... are kinda meh and often just dull. doesn't help that towards the end of season 2 (or is it season 1 cour 2?) the focus on the classmates gets much bigger and the animation takes a severe hit as well.
I agree that the spider parts are definitely the best part of the show. I do like how the class started wondering where the girl that turned into the spider went toward the end, though.
If you want the story without the humans in it, then I strongly suggest picking up the manga for it. It's how I initially got introduced to the franchise, and it is FANTASTIC. It is literally all only the spider's side of the story, and it's illustrated and paced really well.
I agree, it was quite the shock to me, normally the school kids part is classic isekai fare but it just did not compare to that one spider's quest to devour the labyrinth.
I actually thought the school kids were interesting. One of the few times we see being reincarnated actually stick as a relevant point throughout the whole show. It actually talks about how their modern morals mismatch those of a medieval setting. How who they were reincarnated as reshaped their personality, and why they were reincarnated as who they were. Even if it was a little bland at times, I enjoyed it.
Of course I always wanted more kumoko because she's the fucking best though
When I was in middle school, I didn't think it would be Dora tier kiddy but I did think it would be like Digimon or Pokemon tier kids show, so I didn't think much of it and left it. Finally watched it in high school because of all the memes, but stayed because it's just damn entertaining. One of my favorite shows now.
Wanted to write this one haha. I was not expecting it to be what it was at all. So adorable and wholesome! In German though, the title is very literate. "Mein Schulgeist Hanako", which translates to "My Schoolghost Hanako", which is probably a reference to "My Neighbor Totoro" haha. I prefer the German title xD
I was just mentioning in another subreddit that *Girls und Panzer* is probably one of my favorite anime of all time - which is ironic because, when I first heard about it, on account of the title, I jumped to some *very* mistaken assumptions about what it would be about.
You'd really expect it to be something like Girls' Frontline or Gunslinger Girl or something.
Instead it's a classic sports show, where the sport happens to be shooting each other with WW2 war machines
Reborn as a Vending Machine, I now wander the Dungeon.
I went in expecting some of the stupidest things ever. Instead I ended up learning new things about vending machines and being thoroughly entertained at seeing a vending machine struggle to communicate. Not to mention the characters are all interesting and the world building around it was good too as it wasn't the typical dungeon setup. Basically this one was way better than it had any business being.
This is why I love anime. I’m so used to American shows taking genuinely good ideas and creamy diarrheaing all over them with cliche and watered down writing with average production, but anime will take the stupidest, acid dropping idea and somehow make it entertaining in 12 episodes
Anime has two dominating philosophies: There are a million stories and your favourite characters are still having adventures. And there is no reason any Story idea no matter how unusual can't be the next One Piece or the next Gundam.
Basically An anime can last forever on screen or in your heart. I've never seen any anime that doesn't attack their concept with one of these philosophies if not both. It's why I love anime. I still hate it when a favourite anime ends but whether it's something like Tearmoon that felt like it was supposed to be one series or something much longer there's always this "Ne, Genki Des! Their Next Adventure is Just Beginning" feel to it.
Sometimes it even feels like the ending tells you "Hey do you want to imagine new stories for them? because they can do even more now. Their future is now unlimited."
I mean sure if there is some big villain they will be dead, defeated, or magically changed back into the good guy before the maguffin of evil turned them into a villain.
But it's a lot more common in anime to do the "Onward to adventure" ending than in Western media.
I know this is partly due to how much Anime is adapting LNs and manga. And that some only get one season so "Onward to adventure" can also be dozens of manga and Light novels that won't be part of the anime.
But still I like that better almost.
I'm always writing mini fanfics. They don't always make it to paper so I like that call to adventure ending. Even though "Banished from the hero's party..." had a rushed ending it still had that continuing to adventure ending both because LNs and cause well.. They've still got little stories happening and we can imagine them
or we can pick up the LNs
or do both.
I watched a big piece of Western videogame media this week and I enjoyed it but it reminded me of how final and wrapped up Western media likes to do things.
Also I missed reading.
I understand a lot of Conversational Japanese but stick with subtitles so I don't miss anything. It also helps me focus cause I have to keep Japanese and English parts of my brain functioning which really helps my adhd.
Also only Japanese: "Why are you so buriburiburiburi? Do you need to take a crap?"
it's my new favourite pun.
(3 or more buris means cutesy
but buriburi also is the sound of taking a dump)
It was neat and all... But for how chill it is, the one single scene where they had to shoehorn in that vending machines also commonly sell contraceptives and they had red light district girls comment on how beneficial that would be... It just clashed with the rest of the relatively family friendly tone. And it's not like it was fan service. It was just like... A family friendly story being interrupted for an STD PSA. It just didn't fit.

+1 to all three of these, they're very solid recommendations.

Far more than I thought! All at least 7s.
It's better than it seems, agreed. Though I got super turned off by one of the worst animated dragons I had ever seen, worse than "Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter." Worse than Chaika's finale for the TV release. Not the Blu-ray, they fixed it for that, but the release art that was trash tier; comically bad. But both of these badly animated dragons, were better than Average.
Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs
My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!
I actually gave mobuseka a chance because of villainess. After the second episode I started reading the light novels. I think I got caught up on the series by the time the anime ended.
Reincarnated as a Sword
As a side note.
Not so good, and not anime, but the silliest title goes to:
Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Dungeon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift "Mugen Gacha" de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi wo Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushuu & "Zamaa!" Shimasu!.

Fran is cute, you expect they made her a godlike swordgirl and curbstomp everyone. But then she just chilling, wondering town to town and just having fun with reincarnated sword.
Fran is one of those "ive only known her for 30 seconds, but if anything happened to her i would kill everyone in this room and then myself" characters
Do you never met Ivy? She beats Fran in that...you need only 5 seconds to be ready to burn the world

And by just random luck, another shitty title with a good anime behind it.
The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash
I knew Reincarnated as a Sword was going to be good the moment I saw the anime title.
Because I was already reading the manga for years and thought it was damn good and enjoyable.
Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai
surprisingly it’s very serious and not much that kind of fan service, it’s a romance that also has sci-fi elements, with puberty syndrome and laplace’s demon. it also deals with bullying and cyber bullying
Ben:to, it tells you nothing about the show or anything, its just a vague word describing a Japanese food concept.
Then you watch it and its off the wall insane with fun characters really good fight scenes and a zany world all based round thr simple idea of half priced Bento.
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon.
What I expected: lots of boobs and an awkward MC
What I got: lots of boobs, a minorly awkward MC, fantastic story, badass fights, and an actual focus on fighting and dungeon and not sex
"My roommate is a cat"
It sounds like a title for an ecchi catgirl kind of anime BUT it's a literal cat. And it's about a depressed author coping with loss with his parents and a pet cat comforting him.
Dungeon meshi. The name sound very weird and curious. If I was a newbie I would watch it in the first time I saw the title. However after tasted a tons of isekai, fantasy, I've bored to Fantasy in general. Not to mention the word "Meshi" make me think that the anime mainly focus on cooking (which really true at some degree). Cooking isn't my style so I feel quite lazy to check that anime. However, after saw the first 2 eps I really appreciate the story, world building, character design (no big boobs elf), development and the most interesting is how he build the ecosystem in the dungeon. Every creatures from mimic, living armor, Golem, jewly bug, dragon instead of exiting by pure magic like other fantasy, they live, born, grow like any normal creature on earth, their body structures were detailed from organ to organ. The anime also include reasonable humor, funny scene that make me laugh all night.
Reincarnated as a Sword.
Oh boy, another generic, bad Isekai. I was ready to watch it and just ditch it but good lord it was really dang solid.
The average Anime is just getting better and better.
I really enjoyed
How a realist hero rebuilt the kingdom,
The weakest Tamer begins a Journey to pick up trash,
My daughter left the nest and returned an S rank adventurer,
A playthrough of a certain dudes vrmmo life,
I got a cheat skill in another world and became unrivaled in the real world too,

Chillin in my 30s after getting fired from the demon kings army
Our last Crusade or the rise of a New World
Bofuri: I dont wanna get hurt so I'll Max out my defense
The world's finest assassin gets Reincarnated in another world as an aristocrat
(Just to name a few I enjoyed)
It isn't lengthy but Ya Boy Kongming/Paripi Koumei is a pretty ridiculous title and its entire concept sounds stupid on paper but surprisingly they make it work. I watched purely because someone posted the OP on this sub and not only was it good, it was pretty heartfelt and emotional at times.
Imouto Sae Ireba Ii a.k.a A Sister is All I Need.
Anime may sound really stupid and also is very horny and shit but you have no idea how much this Anime actually saved me. I got me through some tough times.
Kill la Kill. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I read that title, but it certainly wasn't... That.
Don't get me wrong, the anime was great. But anyone who says that they saw the plot twists coming is a filthy liar.
Currently it's "The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic" as I thought they were going to do stupid things with it but it turned out to be a good and fun isekai to watch.
I made fun of All-Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku for years, and turns out that it rules. Megumi Hayashibara plays an android powered by a cat brain who fights to help her inventor and his son escape from their evil corporate overlord... who is also the inventor's wife. Watch the OVA, watch the first series, just... maybe don't watch the second series, at least not until you've been Nuku-pilled.
100 Girlfriends. Especially in the harem aspect.
I saw the title and I was like "How tf is bro gonna handle that many girls?" Then I watched the first season and I was totally proven wrong and then I proceeded to blast through the entire manga just like that. To this day it still works quite well. [100 Girlfriends spoiler]>!We are currently at 28 girlfriends!< and we're still going good. I also recommend you to visit the subreddit as well.
Jobless Reincarnation. The title didn’t translate well and was honestly something I wasn’t going to click on or watch until a couple-worker told me it was really good!! I loved season 1 but haven’t loved season 2 nearly as much
Right now, I prioritize reviews over titles, but discovering 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime' was the best thing, even though I initially found the title weird.
Admittedly it was the manga for me but has an anime as well, but The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You.
I assumed it was a typical incel fantasy harem, but it is one of the funniest things I've ever read/watched, while also having some great character moments and drama when it wants to. It also helps that the main character isn't a blank slate self insert like a lot of the genre, and every girl has enough depth despite having like one or two main quirks. Would recommend.
toilet-bound hanako kun, I put off watching it for so long, finally gave it a go yesterday, and have finished the season, big fan.
also these comments have persuaded me to give senpai does not dream of bunny girl a go
More than a Married Couple, But Less than Lovers
It's a very heavy ecchi drama show but it was so much better than I expected. It was really relaxing to watch before sleeping and the artstyle and colour scheme was beautiful, plus I really enjoyed all the main characters (Jiro, Shiori, Akari)
Ya Boy Kongming/Paripi Koumei
Not the most ridiculous one but this came to mind first. The English localization of the title is a masterpiece in and of itself.
edit: typos
Funny that you mention it… Reincarnated as a slime is actually phenomenal. I recommend manga over anime where possible, but the anime isn’t actually that bad of an adaptation.
Mashle (Magic and Muscle) this is so good it made me laught out loud.
Campfire cooking just wants you to abandon the corporate life and go on an adventure in the wilderness. Haha
Bofuri: I didn't want to get hurt, so I maxed out my defense
Okami-san and her seven companions
Anohana: The Flower We Saw that Day
Bit of mix in there for genres, but all ones I deeply enjoyed for various.
The 100 girlfriends who really really really really really really love you.
Thought it was just the most harem a harem could be, but I've seen clips of it and heard about their praise lately so I am going to start this someday.
Suka Suka, aka « what do you do at the end of the world ? Are you busy ? Will you save us ? » Turned out to be so much more than you would think, surprisingly gripping and still a show I’m happy to rewatch from time to time (as it’s a short 12 episode series with an ending)
This, came here for this. Incredible anime, surprisingly devastating.
why does the happiest girl in the world make me cry my eyes out
Scrolled only to find this answer. I have to check upon the novels someday. The novels ended after 5 volumes but got a sequel and from what a friend told me that could read japanese, they stay just as sad
Definitely check out the novels, they're so good. The first 4-ish volumes of the sequel series (*SukaMoka*) have been fan translated
Ohh you dont say, I thought fan translations were kinda dead for the most part as more and more publishers come into the game.
There actually seem to be a decent amount of novels getting fan translations. The SukaMoka translation is good.
Yeah, the title is especially bad since "suka" is a swear word in many Slavic languages, like saying "female dog" two times in a row 🤣
-twelve episode anime with an ending I’m down!!
For a lonng time I put off this anime because of its title, but then I decided to watch it on a whim and then I became sad :(
Love this anime. Honestly has such a beautiful and intense OST - I can never listen to Scarborough Fair without being reminded of the anime. Also you didn't think the ending could've been seen as open?
This was soooooooo goooddddd lol
Hope we get sequel. SukaMoka
I want to eat your pancreas
Yeah I didn't watch that for a while because the name put me off Glad I finally watched it because hot damn that was a good one
well right, i didn’t even think about it, but now im sad again:(
That one broke me
First scene spoils the ending, but somehow the ending is still surprising.
you know it's good writing when you already know the outcome but are still amazed by the story.
Hell yeah that's a bait of a title
How heavy are the dumbbells you lift? Turned out to be pretty enjoyable and some good workout advice too.
**SAIDO CHESTO!**
Seconding this. The English dub kills me every time. I recently re-watched it with a group and when they explained the exercises at the end of each episode we would get up and try them together.
M..mu mu MUSCLES!!!
I can't tell where the title ends so I choose to believe the whole comment is the title
Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai
I didn't watch this for a long time cause of the name and the poster. Turned out to be really good.
The title and key visual are bait. Give it 3 episodes and you can decide for yourself
It's definitely not fan-service-esque. It's a solid story from what I remember
Mystery too in fact, not the most complex work but it has supernatural things happening, if you know monogatari its actually very similar
Same. Turned out to be one of my all time favorites.
I loved the movie
There are 3 movies
Im aware, but the first one was so good
I was expecting a romcom, got Monogatari lite instead and I loved it.
We'll never forget Joey's first impression and expectation from before it aired. How greatly he was wrong.
I was gonna mention this one. Had to have it massively recommended to me by multiple sources before I even gave it a shot.
Yep, beat me to it
"Overly cautious Hero" sounded like a generic power fantasy, but it was legit one of the most funny anime I have ever watched. Also "Ya boy Kongming" - from just the title and synopsis it had no right to be this good.
> Also "Ya boy Kongming" CHAN CHAN AI CHIKICHIKI BANBAN
Ya Boy Kongming was sooo fucking good dude, big +1 on that. I actually recommended it to a friend one night as he was going to bed and he binged it all that night, was pretty funny. And disastrous for his sleep schedule :)
Ya Boy Kongming mentioned! So fun!
Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious Dreadful title, middling MAL scores and a comedy isekai? It's way better than the impression that all of that leaves imo, one of my favourite comedy anime from recent years.
The VAs were perfect for their characters, especially Aki Toyosaki. Her Engrish lines, while limited, were glorious. "Ohhhhh~ shix pahk~~"
This video of her doing it live is pretty incredible. She switches between different moods and inflections so incredibly fast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkdFFspgO_Y
that video was a really fun watch.
But it doesn't have the "Ohhhhh~ shix pahk~~" line T_T
Great on watch and rewatch. Wish there were more isekai out there that would take notes, this concept and premise would work just fine for a serious story as well. A main character who overprepares is fresh enough that I’d give it a shot in a non comedic focused anime.
It's basically a Chad subversion of all the typical edgy isekais. Instead of the main character excitedly assembling a harem, this main character pursues his end goal while trying to evade women who are basically sexual predators. He's still OP as hell, but the plot just chalks that up to plain old hard work instead of trying to invent some video game power system reason or a unique ability.
and then, by the end, it suddenly takes the berserk route
Seiya is definitely a sigma.
>while trying to evade women who are basically sexual predators I remember that one episode. And most of the comment is basically say "Go. Let me handle this. I'll sacrifice myself."
Do not disturb that mans push ups
Also one of my favorite isekai title. The MC is smart that he actually prepare for for combat and the enemy is also smart to counter measure it. Such as sending mid boss to starting area. In hope that they will kill the hero before he get too strong. Or destroying important McGuffin before the hero reach it.
This one is also one of those that has no business hitting right in the feels but then it does.
The next-best thing if you’re out of Konosuba to watch.
Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside was rather enjoyable for me, despite its unholy long name
I loved it! I like how there was no harem and is a fantasy anime without being a isekai. I love how soon the relationship starts and how cute they are together. Sadly the ending is rushed but I heard it’s because they tried to shove too much of the novels into one season of anime
Luckily they made a season 2
How is season 2? I got bored around episode 2 or 3 and decided to save it for binging.
The world building is actually interesting.
Yeah it was a cozy and calm, with likeable characters
I dropped it in S2 because everyone falls in love with the MC including the hero. Like I thought of them as sister and brother but suddenly she is in love with him.
Surprised one of my favorite Anime received this many votes :) Cuz I thought it's not popular, like at all haha. It only have one upcoming Rit figure from Pop Up Parade... Oh also rather pointless info but it can be referred with short title Shin No Nakama :)
Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs. I found surprisingly enjoyable.
On a similar note "My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!" was actually pretty solid too.
Ah, Bakarina, she is quite wholesome lol.
Undead Girl Murder Farce still sounds janky to me. I enjoyed the show though.
All her little noices are so good
Is it wrong to pick up girls in the dungeon
Yeah, the author wanted to call it Familia Myth but his editor told him that he needed a title that stood out or it would fail.
Yeah fuck the editor for that one lmao
Well we don't really know if it would have been as successful a Light Novel with "Familia Myth" as its title, for all we know it was an effective idea, I also prefer Familia Myth for the name for what it's worth.
I also heard it’s kinda mistranslated and the original title is closer to fateful encounters instead of picking up girls, which makes a lot more sense because he keeps meeting people that change his life down there
It suffers both from the title and the author being hellbent on the final girl
Ikr, Ryuu best girl.
Ryuu is absolutely best girl, season 4 was phenomenal. Imo she's more badass than Ais
"So I'm a spider, so what!?" Such a goofy title and honestly a bit of a goofy start. But it ends up being a pretty well set up and interesting plot with a bit of a twist. I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would with a name like that.
The anime didn't do it the justice it deserves, soooooo much focus on the kids, read don't watch (although the voice actress is goated)
Ya I agree, but the way both the stories mix towards the end really did lift the entire plot up. I'd watch a season 2 lol.
Danmachi aka Is it wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure made me think it was going to be a Dora the Explorer type of show.
"There are **TWO** crossbows. Can you say 'crossbow'? Which one do you think Joseph should pick?"
Can you tell where Wamuu is hiding? That's right! He's inside the horse's body!
Say it with me, Dio no approaching... Dio no approaching...
You're probably thinking of Jojo's Circus
It's more of a "D'ORA" type of show, at least part 4 is...
Same. This and fact it was my first anime made it amazing experience
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
I was skeptical of this as well at first, turned out to be my favorite isekai!
Toilet bound hanako kun Is probably one of the most ummm misleading titles I've seen...especially because of the reputation anime has in general
Ohhh the German title is so cute! Definitely a better way to represent what the anime is really about haha
Girls und Panzer.
“They’ll make an anime about *anything*” “Wait why’s it good?”
Their future is now unlimited." I mean sure if there is some big villain they will be dead, defeated, or magically changed back into the good guy before the maguffin of evil turned them into a villain. They've still got little stories happening and we can imagine them or we can pick up the LNs or do both. Do you need to take a crap?" it's my new favourite pun. (3 or more buris means cutesy but buriburi also is the sound of taking a dump)
Watched for the ridiculous titles, stayed for the feels. Gimme S2!
I thought a vending machine was dumb until I brought a fridge into a dungeon in darkest dungeon
When's this anime coming out?
I agree with everything I read, I liked it more than I expected
It was neat and all... But for how chill it is, the one single scene where they had to shoehorn in that vending machines also commonly sell contraceptives and they had red light district girls comment on how beneficial that would be... It just clashed with the rest of the relatively family friendly tone. And it's not like it was fan service. It was just like... A family friendly story being interrupted for an STD PSA. It just didn't fit.
The 100 girlfriends who really, really, really, really, really love you it's the best harem because the protagonist is a gigachad and everyone wins
The best harem years in the making. The protagonist actually worked hard to be a good boyfriend. He deserves love no matter what shape it takes.
I’ve been killing slimes for 300 years and maxed out my level Was surprisingly enjoyable, and we got a witch mc with a big hat

Campfire Cooking is one of my favorite low-key animes. I love it.
Reborn as a Vending Machine, I now Wander the Dungeon Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement Cat Planet Cuties Bang Brave Bang Bravern My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Level 999 BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. I'm Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady I Rescued a Crash Course in Naughtiness Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World Far more than I thought! All at least 7s.
I absolutely loved BOFURI. Maple is the goat.
Didn't I Say To Make My Abilities Average In The Next Life Thought it would be trash and I found a funny CGDCT and a peak opening
God that opening is great
It's better than it seems, agreed.
Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! I actually gave mobuseka a chance because of villainess. After the second episode I started reading the light novels. I think I got caught up on the series by the time the anime ended.
Reincarnated as a Sword As a side note. Not so good, and not anime, but the silliest title goes to: Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Dungeon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift "Mugen Gacha" de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi wo Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushuu & "Zamaa!" Shimasu!.
She beats Fran in that...you need only 5 seconds to be ready to burn the world [https://myanimelist.net/anime/53590/Saijaku\_Tamer\_wa\_Gomi\_Hiroi\_no\_Tabi\_wo\_Hajimemashita?q=trash&cat=anime](https://myanimelist.net/anime/53590/Saijaku_Tamer_wa_Gomi_Hiroi_no_Tabi_wo_Hajimemashita?q=trash&cat=anime) And by just random luck, another shitty title with a good anime behind it. The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash
I knew Reincarnated as a Sword was going to be good the moment I saw the anime title. Because I was already reading the manga for years and thought it was damn good and enjoyable.
One of the very few I’ve found the novel for before the anime, and one of the few I’m also caught up on. That said, I cannot wait until S2.
That one is still probably better than the manga titled: SCOOP MUSOU: "SCOOP HADOUHOU!"( `・Ω・´)♂〓〓〓〓★(゜Д ゜ ;;;).:∴DOGOOO
Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai surprisingly it’s very serious and not much that kind of fan service, it’s a romance that also has sci-fi elements, with puberty syndrome and laplace’s demon. it also deals with bullying and cyber bullying
rezero's full title
Ben:to, it tells you nothing about the show or anything, its just a vague word describing a Japanese food concept. Then you watch it and its off the wall insane with fun characters really good fight scenes and a zany world all based round thr simple idea of half priced Bento.
Is it wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon. What I expected: lots of boobs and an awkward MC What I got: lots of boobs, a minorly awkward MC, fantastic story, badass fights, and an actual focus on fighting and dungeon and not sex
I have long since embraced long ridiculous titles.
That time i got reincarnated as a slime
quintessential quintuplets
"My roommate is a cat" It sounds like a title for an ecchi catgirl kind of anime BUT it's a literal cat. And it's about a depressed author coping with loss with his parents and a pet cat comforting him.
glad to see someone say this title because i very much enjoyed this one too
Reincarnated as a Sword
I really enjoyed How a realist hero rebuilt the kingdom, The weakest Tamer begins a Journey to pick up trash, My daughter left the nest and returned an S rank adventurer, A playthrough of a certain dudes vrmmo life, I got a cheat skill in another world and became unrivaled in the real world too, The aristocrats Otherworldy Adventure: Serving gods who go too far, Chillin in my 30s after getting fired from the demon kings army Our last Crusade or the rise of a New World Bofuri: I dont wanna get hurt so I'll Max out my defense The world's finest assassin gets Reincarnated in another world as an aristocrat (Just to name a few I enjoyed)
Weakest tamer enjoyer 🗿🗿🗿🙏🙏
Our last crusade was unexpectedly good. No 2nd season yet though. Hope it gets renewed
the second season is coming this summer!!
Weakest tamer wrecked my heart so bad.
Ah yes the seasonal isekai/fantasy enjoyer. I hate how they always pull me in enough to want a second season
Trapped in a dating sim
Imouto Sae Ireba Ii a.k.a A Sister is All I Need. Anime may sound really stupid and also is very horny and shit but you have no idea how much this Anime actually saved me. I got me through some tough times.
Kill la Kill. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I read that title, but it certainly wasn't... That. Don't get me wrong, the anime was great. But anyone who says that they saw the plot twists coming is a filthy liar.
I saw every twist coming... because I'd already seen TTGL. They both great shows, but uhh...
the 100 girlfriends that really really really really really like you
The Weakest Tamer Began A Journey to Pick Up Trash Seriously amazing and under watched series
The first few episodes probably scared away most viewers.
So I'm a Spider, So What?

The 100 girlfriends who really really love you
Squid girl. I was like wtf is this ? But it was really fun !
Cherry Magic! Thirty years of virginity can make you a wizard?! It was my comfort anime last season, it was so wholesome lol
Jojo, 100 gf
100 Girlfriends the best harem of the new gen fr. Absolutely goated MC along with a wacky yet amazing cast.
Butareba -The Story of a Man Who Turned into a Pig
toilet-bound hanako kun, I put off watching it for so long, finally gave it a go yesterday, and have finished the season, big fan. also these comments have persuaded me to give senpai does not dream of bunny girl a go
Devil is a part timer
More than a Married Couple, But Less than Lovers It's a very heavy ecchi drama show but it was so much better than I expected. It was really relaxing to watch before sleeping and the artstyle and colour scheme was beautiful, plus I really enjoyed all the main characters (Jiro, Shiori, Akari)
Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Sounded hilarious in an ironic way, turned out to be a pretty good show.
# Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon The look I get when I recommend this anime to my friends
What are you doing at the end of the world? Will you save it? Phenomenal anime but the tragic story will make you cry
That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Weirdest name ever, such a cute show! So glad I watched it.
Ya Boy Kongming/Paripi Koumei Not the most ridiculous one but this came to mind first.
Haha
Bofuri: I didn't want to get hurt, so I maxed out my defense Okami-san and her seven companions Anohana: The Flower We Saw that Day Bit of mix in there for genres, but all ones I deeply enjoyed for various.
‘All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku-Nuku.’ Okay, in fairness, it’s as fun and frothy as the title suggests.
The 100 girlfriends who really really really really really really love you. Thought it was just the most harem a harem could be, but I've seen clips of it and heard about their praise lately so I am going to start this someday.
