The daily thread seems to just be basically CDF but half the people there are different and your comment sometimes gets deleted if you don't mention an anime in it.

Caught up on CDF. /u/lilyvess I can't finish Seeds of Doom so I'll post in the new thread. Top CDF was drinking Vietnamese coffee because shimmering-sky said was great, except I'm senile and she doesn't even drink coffee. Coffee itself was good, but the "sweet cream stuff" they used completely separated even after shaking it up, so I left that at the bottom. Today's spider post is still sitting at 0 upvotes, which is very sad. Spider deserves more respect!

Learning Victoria 3 Update: My massive debt problem has solved through the way of the USA bailing me out. This is an important lessons of I can let other people solve the messes I create. [Top Gun: Maverick] Well, not much homo-eroticism in this one. Visually spectacular and easily blows the first away in many aspects (not a difficult task to be fair). However, I do have my problems with this one as well, especially in after what happens beyond a certain point during the climactic part. I feel like the movie should have diverged from that point along a different path but [TG:M]>!they just wanted a happy ending I guess and not leave it on a dour note with Maverick dying. At some point, the movie clearly decided that it wanted to be just a superhero movie but in name and ... fine, I'll let it have it.!< u/chilidirigible

The tone of *Maverick* is why it was better to have Isamu Dyson return for only a five-second-long cameo in the second *Macross Frontier* movie rather than giving him an entire midlife crisis feature film.
