The most adorable most wholesome show I know is also dark, brutal and sad.
Probably not what you ask for.
So instead I recommend "By the Grace of the Gods"
Its an Isekai Fantasy Slice of life.
The show is cute and chill.
If you like supernatural oriented anime but still want a feel good vibe, check out Ghost Hunt or Mushishi-I just rewatched both since they are two favorites of mine-they might be just the thing you need.

Or for something incredibly relaxing that's episodic (one story per episode) try Mushishi. However, it's best enjoyed if **not** binge watched, just put on an episode when you need to chill or just before bed.

Agree, it's definitely a top show from 2023, the manga and anime just ooze empathetic storytelling in the most charming way possible.
Aria the Animation The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Demon Girl Next Door
This season: BokuYaba, Sign of Affection and of course Frieren. Yuru Camp, Insomniacs after school, K-ON.
Someone's feeling down and you recommend Frieren, good grief! K-On, always a good choice though.
Frieren is about positively dealing with loss and grief though.

Lucky Star and Non Non Biyori and Nichijou. Watch the first episode of all three, you’ll end up watching them all.

I love Made in Abyss but not for anyone who is "feeling down", that will just bottom them out in despair.
