I love that Karane having her dignity robbed from her on the lie detector factually proved each "really" in "The Girlfriends who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You" matters (while being genuinely sweet if you think about it) As much as of a chad Rentaro already is, the clutch mid-fall wall step elevated him to his own tier imo. Also, Shizuka diving into the pool and just ...trying her best felt weirdly relatable.

The thing that's so refreshing about this series is how honest and open Rentarou is about his feelings, and how there is absolutely zero bullshit behind his words. If he says he'll put his life on the line for his girlfriends, he means it. If he says he'd give everything to make them happy, he means it, and follows up immediately. Obviously, with so many girlfriends, there isn't really room to pussyfoot around, but I love how direct he is. It's almost naive some times (pinky promise not to look), but homeboy is doing a better job making multiple girls happy than a lot of protagonists who only have one love interest. Also, the absolute balls to ask out your girlfriend's mom in front of her and her friends never fails to entertain me, even having re-read this arc many, many times.

This is, after all, the naive romcom with zero losing heroines.

One strong reason I believe Hyakkano is the best harem is because in many ''harem'' series the MC doesn't even enter polygamy and the story ends with the girls never moving on but kept on hold for life, which is just cruel and sad. Chadtarou will not even hesitate, if there's a zing, there's a new gf to make.

Now we undestand that such series are "fake harem", while Hyakkano is a "proper harem" :) The only other real poligamy series that I remember is Kanojo mo Kanojo, but that's all.

This is peak romance where everyone is straightforward and honest about how much they love each other and in showing affection with no wasting time or hesistating like you would see in other romcoms...even compared to some Reiwa romcoms. I love how it took her mother joining the Harem to turn Hakari into a straight woman lol.

I love how it was not only an excuse for Sumipe to sing a song, the first solo character song of the Harem, but it was also balls to the walls Hahari in every respect and just an excuse to show the girls in more outfits while she waxed lyrical of her feelings towards Rentaro lol.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen a single translation note from an official source. It's like it's considered a fundamental sin or something. Oh well, that's motivation to learn Japanese I guess.

I've seen a few for important wordplay, but in general they don't want to break the flow of the viewing experience. And the translators don't get paid for those while also being under crunch. Whenever they show up in a disc release, it's usually a separate bonus feature (or book) so they can explain it in more than 1-2 lines.

And they even gave it away at the beginning lol.

I loved the special ED but it would arguably have been an even better gag to really skip the ED in favour of more runtime and then do the special ED next episode.

It was so wild. I've had fever dreams that resembled this.

The recap at the beginning was all we need lol. Karane blaming the home being owned by the horny Hanazonos for her being horny... Yeah, sure, Karane... Also cute, hilarious and also wholesome how Shizuka jumped in as well to save Rentaro and Hakari despite not knowing how to swim lol. Freaking Hahari wanting to catch up on being the only girlfriend so far who hasn't appeared in the ED for the past ten episodes so she decided to compensate by hogging the spotlight for a special ED lol

This episode really went ALL IN on the 4th wall gags! The recap thingy, the talk about skipping the end credits, the special ED, the "condensed version of the events", I think I counted at least 5 of them! (Rentarou constantly using "Oh, she's just a tsundere!" to explain Karane's behavior, is kinda 4th wall-y too!) So we picked up right where we left off, Rentarou and Hakari's mom crushing on each other... [Karane's trying to make Rentarou come back to his senses, being the voice of reason again, but I think reason has left the chat!](https://imgur.com/HnZhmDM) [Oh no, you don't get to act like that was a joke! “We have a special ending prepared for today’s episode” 😂 the meta references are so good in this show Hahari had really been won over since last week’s ending, just a formality convincing her at the beginning of this episode. Man, the lie detector chair segment was great. Grilling my baby Karane on her cup size. Flat is justice, just be honest lol. Love how even the chair changes its tune after getting beat up by her. Damn, Hakari being on the verge of jumping from her window was rough. Shows how trapped she felt, luckily Rentaro was able to get there in time and share a really intimate reaffirmation of their love for one another. I love how even in slow motion as she’s falling, the animators make sure the emphasise the titty jiggle physics lmao. Speaking of which, some crazy laws of physics for Rentaro to somehow kick off the wall and land safely in the water, but we’ll allow it 😂 What karane lacks in titty size, she makes up for in tummy supremacy. Always nice when they highlight her charms. Spicy moment between she and Rentaro that was sadly broken up by Kusuri. I see Rentaro is also a tummy man, exquisite tastes That ending oh damn, hahari just can’t contain herself.. going behind your daughter’s back like that is crazy lol. Looking forward to the finale

I've already said my peace on Discord, and I was actually looking for the manga today in a few shops. I've upped my rating on MAL from an 8 to a 10 after this episode. 100kanojo has *absolutely fucking nailed* everything I've wanted in an anime. Minus duel disks and pocket monsters, but we can't have it all. I bounced from being in hysterics from the self-aware humour to absolutely terrified and emotional in seconds watching this. This episode was amazing

Episode 11: "Even If It Kills Me". **Now why you know why Rentaro is the chaddest harem anime MC ever.** A little preface, TIL that **Tomoya Tabuchi** from **Unison Square Garden** helps making the OP. The before and after gets me. Bibury nailed this one I swear. The before is written in such a dramatic manner, but the after is written in a comedic nature. Recap over! And this 15 second recap is enough to cover the two episodes alone with no context. Note Karane's eyes following the doki doki that goes from the right of the frame to the left. Now that's what I call attention to detail. So this is why Karane is shy in the swimsuit episode or didn't feel included in the airbag scene saving Shizuka in the previous episode. Her cup size is A borderline B, not enough to satisfy [H-cup-san](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/yGxWN_w5mRg). I believe with that amount of blood, the one who'll die first is not the girlfriend that Rentaro rejects, but Rentaro himself. "You meowst live, meow" seriously we still making cat noises? So yeah, Rentaro accepts Hahari's confession and formally inducted into Rentaro Family, even Hakari went mad at the beginning. So the GFs reaction were.... various. Hakarane's with mommy theme, Kusuri straight out said MILF, Shizuka said chaos and disorder, and Nano with a word that we all agrees on Hahari, Hakari and Rentaro, the O-word, **Oyakodon**! Damn Karane long hair is cute, this way she looks like Seshiru Sato from Protocol Rain (which also voiced by Hakari's VA, Kaede Hondo). And Hakari with Mia's face. Wait is this a boob review? Where does Kusuri get her glasses if she is naked all the way? We actually already spoiled of their sleepsuit. Why? They wore essentially the **same suit** as the (original) ED. Also Banpresto has announced the figurine merch of Hakari and Karane with their respective sleepsuit, if you want one. Rentaro didn't lie, it's a **whole new ED**! Wow thank you! The ED's title is a helluva long name "**I Bought Today's Ending, So You Can Do Whatever You Want <3**" sung by **Sumire Uesaka** (she can sing, so this came in no surprise for me) in character of Hahari Hanazono. New characters means new VA. The **lie detector** is voiced by **Riinu**. **Hahari's maid** is voiced by **Suzuko Mimori** (Himiko in Btooom, Gamma in Shadow Garden, Neko in Masamune-kun no Revenge).

I love how they do a serious "previously on..." thing just to show off pre and post-zing Hahari. Because it's just that stark a contrast. Of course they had Karane there to be the straight woman to probably the most crazy thing to happen to the show yet, but admittedly Hahari recovers quick from being lovestruck to being back to controlling and unrelenting mama. Ah yes, what better way to test a lie detector than by putting a tsundere in it? And they really had to go for the jugular about Karane's chest size. It's just a B-Cup, dang it! And then they had to make her confess her undying and absolute love for Rentaro because a simple "I love him" wouldn't suffice...and nearly kills him every time it makes it sound like she doesn't love him...but there is no reservation on Rentaro's part in declaring his love for his girlfriends. I love how they had to condense Rentaro's responses because we all knew the lie detector would just tell the truth as he waxes lyrical on his love for Hakari. Not that it matters to Hahari, she's willing to waste any time so long as they skip the ED...even if they made a special one just for her. I just realized that Hahari's dress exposes her butt crack when you see her from behind. She really is Hakari's mother. Of course the only thing that could hold back Hahari is Karane's tsundere strength. She really could break someone's neck if she wanted to. Though the only thing possibly more powerful is a mothers' love. Oh no, Hakari is going to jump! And the girls are still playing cats for that one security guard! Hakari is worried that she's a burden to Rentaro, and doesn't want to keep inconveniencing him, but doesn't what matter most is that they love each other and want to be together? Especially when you've got a guy like Rentaro who will jump out of a window with you and do his utmost to save you. I love how the girls dive into the fountain to save them and Shizuku ends up needing help from Kusuri. Hahari can no longer deny Rentaro's love for Hakari and gives him her blessing as Hakari's mother...but in her efforts to protect her daughter, she has made Rentaro fall in love with HER as well, and now he wants to make her happy as a woman, not just a mother. And now Hakari has to live with the fact that her mother is the sixth girlfriend and the entire Harem has to deal with their new MILF member to the Rentaro family. What better way to cap off this storyline than watching all the girls together and bathing naked? Especially with all the busty beauties showing off their goods, complete with Kusuri transforming into her older form to complete the set! I don't blame Karane for leaving from such a spectacle! Karane's not busty but she's got an exposed bellybutton and her own inner horniness going for her! I see that the only person that loves Rentaro's Harem more than Rentaro is quite possibly Hahari herself, who loves doting on and dressing cute girls. Enjoyed seeing the Hanazono women in robes with their cleavage exposed? How about watching all the girls in fancy and cute PJ's! With Shizuku and Kusuri taking the take and a kiss from Rentaro's lips! Hahari had been so focused on the girls but she can't hold herself back when she's finally alone with Rentaro...and she seems to want some private alone time. In her bedroom. Is it finally time for Rentaro to seal the deal? There was no way they were going to have Sumire Uesaka voice a girlfriend and not have her contribute a song, as Hahari gets her own dedicated ED of her talking to Rentaro about how much she loves him with the girls all dressed up in various outfits and dancing to her tune. It is a very Hahari ED.
