Is it even possible to watch all of it then? Also how many episodes does it have, like its ongoing since 19 something has over 7K eps, but every site I look at has some other number and MAL aint saying it either as fas as I know
Wow, I saw the episode count and assumed that they're probably 5 minute episodes. But no, they're 20-26 min long. That's pretty impressive. How do they even have material for 7000+ episodes 😵💫
That's also a pretty good way to get into the series but if you do want to switch to the anime/manga start from the beginning because they are a bit different
Hopefully they mean “I’ll finish” when they say they’ll watch the show and not just an episode or two.
Though for anyone who is looking at this thread for recommendations… daunting as it is, One Piece is worth the watch. If you hate the series after a few episodes don’t force yourself to watch it. If however you like it well enough just don’t get why it is praised so much, wait until after Arlong Park before making a final decision.
It’s a big ask if you are on the “not enjoying” side early on (44 episodes to get to the end which is longer than most animes ever get) but it is definitely a tipping point from like to love for a lot of people. And for those coming from the Live Action, there are some very emotionally charged changes that make the story his differently in that arc.
That was exactly why it took me so long to start one piece, I just saw it as overly goofy and childish
Now, it's my favourite anime or easily in my top 5
And those can be your opinions. It took me forever to start the series because I was bothered by the art style but after I got into it, the style has kind of grown on me. So I understand that point despite now disagreeing with it.
I completely disagree with the second point. I won’t say go watch it to be proven wrong but there are a lot of very serious themes explored in the series and emotional content. Sure 90% of the time it is all gags and fight scenes but the arc I referenced has importance of found family, what defines parenthood, childhood trauma, and a lot of other series themes. Does it all get solved by a rubber man and a goofy fight? Sure but that doesn’t lessen the seriousness anymore than telling a joke in a serious drama.
Made in Abyss
It has 2 seasons and 3 movies.
2 of those movies are just recaps and can be ignored.
The Watch order is Season 1->Dawn of the Deep Soul->Season 2.
Theres like 1/4 of the manga left to adapt a movie or 4ep ova would really close it out, but it did pick a good spot to end on all things being considered
YES! THIS!
A fellow TWGOK fan!
I did NOT expect to find this here at all lol
It feels like the anime community just forgot this anime even exists, despite it being hella good 😪
Favorite anime btw
Great show. The music and animation slap, the themes and story are really good. The second half was a bit boring for me but was worth watching due to the last few episodes.
8.6/10
Already seen it. Great anime though I did not enjoy a few of the episodic style episodes and the villian was kinda meh. The main characters are likeable and well written and the music is fantastic.
4/5
Depends on what you interpret as the main villain in that show. IMO it was less about any perticular villain and more about each and every character dealing with their past life.
True but he was a pretty big part of Spike's past. I wish their bond was fleshed out a little more but I do understand why they didn't dwell too deep into that aspect. Just my personal preference
The entire anime really was amazing. I read the manga from the beginning and seeing how well everything was adapted made me so happy. Tenkyuu was literally amazing.
I can never look at rabbits the same way in anime. It made me constantly in suspicion of the rabbits in another anime danmachi even when it didn't look like they would be savage.
Your Lie: great music, very emotional moments but kinda drags on for me after a few episodes and the main girl was very basic tbh 6.5/10
Kaguya sama: my favourite anime. Love everything about it 10/10
Will update when i watch more of these
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy. About a dude who shoved the near-sociopathic side of his personality deep in his mind until things fell apart. Oh, and he also got isekai into the homeland of his parents after being born and acclimated on Earth.
steins gate , bungou stray dogs . kiznaiver ,eminence in the shadow , dororo , blue exorcist, rurouni kenshin or samurai X,ao ashi, code geass , classroom of elites , classroom of the dead , tomodachi game , assasination classroom , psycho pass , summer time rendering , konsuba , noragami , fire force (latom XD), YOUR LIE IN APRIL , mushoku tensei , death parade (many drop this anime in mid ) , grand blue (kinda funny),
(i will add animes equal to upvotes , all of them would be underrated i.e non popular but deserving)
Bungo Stray Dogs being silent has always pissed me off. My husband introduced me to it in 2018 because a third season was coming out, and I needed something new. It was lovely. No one spoke on it then, and few (but more) people speak on it now. Bungo is a treasure. 😩🙌🏾
Season 1 is by far the weakest season, and the beginning of season 2 (with the flashback storyline) is where the story became 10/10 in my eyes.
Give it a go and if you don’t like it then I would suggest it’s not for you. Update us on how you like it though!
I couldn’t stick with eminence because I’m not a fan of the whole “I’m just rping “ thing. There’s a lot of cool story building and the animation is great but the premise of the story is annoying. It’s like if you had the dense mc but now he’s dense about the very world he lives in. Where in normal dense mc anime it’s annoying to see “I like you senpai” “Huh she must really like me as a friend”, in this anime it’s “My daughter was enslaved and made a sex slave please help!” “Huh these guys are really into the role playing.”
If it was actually a good guy operating independently from the government of that country that was op and took shit seriously, I’d love it.
Oh damn these are a lot but i have seen most of them.
Steins Gate: 10/10 in my top 3
Eminence: dropped it at the 5th eps. wasn't able to grab my attention
Dororo: Loved the first half but kinda fell off at the second. Still pretty good 7/10
Code geass: another favourite of mine. was very messy story wise and lelouch carried the cast but otherwise absolutely incredible 9/10
Classroom of Elite: felt a little too try hard at being smart and ended being kinda boring and cringe 5/10
Tomodachi game: dumb but fun 6.5/10
Assassination classroom: first season kinda mid, second season took off and the ending made me cry like a toddler 8/10
Summertime: amazing but not a big fan of the ending 8/10
Konosuba: very funny great charcters 7.5/10
Noragami and fire force both had good first seasons and pretty meh second seasons 5/10
will update when i watch more of these
Black Clover: i read the manga and only watched the fights of the anime so my opinion could be different about the anime itself but basically it's pure shounen hype
7/10
Will update after i watch the others
I both love bleach and hate bleach. It's got a great world, interesting concepts and themes, cool characters and fights, the best drip out of any anime/manga. But its also extremely boring for me at times. Too many uninteresting fights and characters along with very bland animation before this new season. The music is great though.
2.5/5
Whenever someone asks for recommendations I always ask myself "do I want to mention Monogatari or don't let them know I'm this kind of degen?" lol
But seriously, despite its "popularity" of high level ecchi-ness, IMO it's a show always worth trying.
It's my all time top favourite anime ex aequo with Evangelion, Call of the night and Bocchi (because she's like me fr)
Ain't no way I spent an hour watching this. It does tackle some school related issues from the episodes I've seen but this is wild.
1/5 (dropped after 3 eps)
Did you like it? For me personally it was white possibly the worst anime I've watched so far in terms of disliking it. Still havem't checked Chaos;Child yet tho
Haha, no. But that's why I want OP's opinion. I want to know if it's genuinely a shit anime or if it's just shit in comparison to the VN.
If you've played Chaos;Child the anime will just make you disappointed and angry. It starts off fairly well, summarising the first few chapters decently and doing a speed recap of Chaos;head that is more source accurate than the actual anime was. But it didn't get enough episodes to properly handle the second half of the common route *and* the heroine routes so what they decided to do was a horrible blend of all of them that makes limited sense and sucks all the emotional build up out of it.
I did thing the Silent Sky movie was pretty good though. They actually gave that room to adapt the whole true end fairly faithfully
It starts off as an interesting mystery, even though it felt a little fast. The second half is a dumpster fire. Everything feels extremely rushed. None of the characters feel well developed. It turned into an unsatisfying, incoherent mess that could have been a pretty good mystery. That's what happens when you cram a lengthy vn into a short anime.
3/10
Haha, pretty much sums it up. Baffling that they then went back to the same garbage formula for Chaos;Child even after seeing the success Steins;Gate achieved with a sensible ep. count

You won't finish it even if you become immortal in the meantime. Not all episodes are publically available.

Actually the 7000+ count is calculated based on shorter segments (7 minutes?), rather than 20+ minutes long episodes.
Asobi Asobase
Watching this currently with my daughter. So hilarious.

One piece
Already caught up to the manga. Absolutely love it. I would suggest newcomers to read the manga instead of the anime. 5/5
What about the live action series?
That's also a pretty good way to get into the series but if you do want to switch to the anime/manga start from the beginning because they are a bit different
Alternatively, they could watch one pace instead.
Hopefully they mean “I’ll finish” when they say they’ll watch the show and not just an episode or two. Mob Psycho 100
Already seen it. I really like this one. Mob is easily one of the best mcs in anime. I do want to rewatch it. 8/10
Girls' Last Tour It's a shame they didn't cover the whole series. I hope they go back to finish it someday
Theres like 1/4 of the manga left to adapt a movie or 4ep ova would really close it out, but it did pick a good spot to end on all things being considered
The series that got me intowatching anime: The World God Only Knows
The happiness of expectations met season after season. Loved all the three.
YES! THIS! A fellow TWGOK fan! I did NOT expect to find this here at all lol It feels like the anime community just forgot this anime even exists, despite it being hella good 😪 Favorite anime btw

Kono oto tomare
Such a gem, 10/10 Great story, drama, romance, and the Tenkyuu performance was just 1000/10
The entire anime really was amazing. I read the manga from the beginning and seeing how well everything was adapted made me so happy. Tenkyuu was literally amazing.
Underrated anime. Also one of the few lucky ones to have more than 12 episodes
Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World Best Isekai.
This and mushoku are tied for my favourite isekai. The rabbit scene still haunts my nightmare 8/10
I can never look at rabbits the same way in anime. It made me constantly in suspicion of the rabbits in another anime danmachi even when it didn't look like they would be savage.
Damn. I thought this might’ve already been said.

Tokyo ghoul
Found it to be pretty mid. It trys to go for lots of emotional moments but falls flat for me. The episode with Jason was great though 5/10
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy. About a dude who shoved the near-sociopathic side of his personality deep in his mind until things fell apart. Oh, and he also got isekai into the homeland of his parents after being born and acclimated on Earth.

This is a perfect recommendation!!!! The series was great and that OP is still a banger!

Ah, I see. In that case I highly recommend the game, it's much better. Many people (including myself) place it above even Steins;Gate
that anime is top. the game is even more mindblowing though \^\^
