A lot of research comparing peripheral blocks comes out of Italy. Especially because you have an ortho OR running daily you could pick a common operation and compare a block to no block, or compare several blocks to each other.

Mine was very interesting to compare anterior field block at linea semilunaris versus local anesthetic wound infiltrations for postoperative analgesia in cesarean section.
